Okay... he had a heart attack from the stress of the war and died?? I didn't even know that could happen??? I was putting off this moon slightly because of that, it was difficult to draw both literally and emotionally, these next few donates are a roller coaster
There were just police in my driveway bc apparently my grandpa had a heart attack really badly (I don't like him at all so wtver but that means we prolly ain't going out to eat like we were supposed to 😡)
okay so- in the span of a minute my heart did sm that felt akin to a rabid mouse trying to wiggle out of my chest
The first one, I could pass of as heart palpations. The SECOND time I genuinely had to stop while walking and set my backpack down to breathe and wait it out.
..... I'm probably fine.
I mean, I've HAD heart palpations before, but they FELT like palpations. This felt, as I mentioned, like a literal xenomorph chest burster.
... I'm fine. I'm fine.
Someone died of a heart attack at a Battle Beast concert and someone on Reddit is claiming it was during "Straight to the Heart", but idk if they're just making that up for upvotes 👀
As Genji Sato and his aunt Naoko Sakamoto stood over his mother’s gravestone, Gen tried to reconcile his feelings out loud: “Maybe this is a kind of forgiveness, too.” They had made the uncomfortable decision to bury Sandra between her husband Haruki and her mother Mimi Sakamoto, the symbolic pillar causes of their family’s near-destruction. While Gen strongly believed his mother indulged in ignorance as a bystander to his father’s crimes, it also pained him to think that she would be eternally stuck between the two worst people to her. But then, “She tried her best, I think.”
Naoko didn’t comment on her nephew’s sentiment. There was plenty that could’ve been done differently, plenty that still haunted her despite being newly absolved for the shared sins as Haruki, but it was hard to deny that Sandra’s efforts at the end of her life had actually helped set their family on a better path.
“I’m sorry Keiko didn’t want to be here,” Naoko said quietly. Her sister had a heart attack, sudden and deadly just like what brought down their mother Mimi. Naoko’s own heart now gripped a dreadful fear of inheriting this destiny too. Here one day, gone the next; life is too short for grudges! How could she make Keiko realize just how little time they all have together?
Gen scratched his head and mumbled something sounding like “hmm” instead of responding. He was on an internal quest to remember every good memory he had of just him and his mother. There were a few, but not many, so guilt began to seep into his mind over wasting so many years estranged.
