Alright, this is new information to me but I wanted you all to know that period pain isn't supposed to be crippling
It's not really even supposed to be noticeable, the idea that it is came from male doctors, who only saw the worst cases, talking over women because they thought periods should be debilitating
So if your period is really bad, it is usually because of an underlying condition and you should definitely go to a doctor to get it checked out
They might not know much about what makes it so painful because the health of the "other" half of the human population is massively under researched, especially gynaecology, but they can at least give you pain meds stronger than you can get over the counter, mefenamic acid and co-codamol where the ones I was prescribed
I would also recommend looking into hormonal contraceptives because they can help with periods, especially the pill because that is well-known to be effective, you can still go for things like implants, injections and IUD but those have a 1 in 3 chance of making it worse so you know, pros and cons
But here's a link to look into it yourself and I would also recommend going to a sexual health clinics as they are the ones who actually know about this sorta stuff
