Trix headcanon of the day #38

Which of the other characters do they have a crush on? (I have only seen seasons 1-4, so no maladjusted mermaid abominations)

Icy: Definitely had a crush on Bloom, but she suppressed it into pure rage and hatred. She does this with all her crushes. Bloom also had a little crush on her back in season one. She got over it in season 3 when the trix became extremely pathetic. Bloom will admit that Icy is hot to the other winx.

Darcy: Yes, Riven. She never got over him and never will, we all know this. It is not a question. Riven hasn't quite gotten over her completely. Also I like to think both Brandon and Timmy had a small crush on her at some point early season one. She could tell. She can always tell when someone has a crush on her, as long as it is a guy. She can not tell with girls.

Stormy: Definitely has a crush on Musa. It will not go away. She has not told Icy and Darcy about it because she knows they will make fun of her. We all saw those two episodes on season two. Unfortunately for Stormy, Musa does not have any feelings for Stormy. That girl is Trix hater #1.

- Dark Enchantix AU - little spoilers

I was discussing the actual plotline of the Dark Enchantix Au with a friend who reads and supervises it. And they asked me about Darcy and her feelings for Riven (we discussed in German, so I tried to translate it as smoothly as possible, read under the cut):

"Is Darcy already emotionally involved at this stage, or is she still completely cold and strategic? Because this scene seems like peak manipulative Darcy, so she's still very far from any emotional connection. This could be a really exciting development later on..."

For me (in the Dark Enchantix AU), Darcy escapes into her missions precisely to avoid thinking too much about herself. While she's scheming and plotting, she pushes away any thought of Riven because he makes her weak.

My reply was:

Darcy is someone who isn't particularly mentally stable. Even in canon, she's the Trix who most easily panics and uses her manipulative nature to mask her true cowardice. There's a great scene with her and Icy in Season 2, Episode 10. To get the Codex, you have to create a counterweight on a scale. Various objects are set out, and you have to choose one. Darcy realizes that each incorrect item would likely trigger nasty traps. So she considers it, but doesn't quite finish the thought because she's already afraid of the outcome, and then says to Icy, "This is your moment, Icy. You want to be the one who steals the Codex." That way, she wouldn't face the consequences herself if the item choice was wrong (which it would be). And Icy immediately recognizes: "You're quite the sneaky coward, Darcy. And I love you for that." (didn't quote it exactly, because I'm too lazy too look the right words up)

When she's with him, she recognizes her feelings for him as a clear weakness, but as nothing she can control.

Later in the story, she'll give Riven an ultimatum: Will you join my side, or will you die as one of the good guys?

So yes, she's a cold strategist, but primarily for self-protection. That's why she keeps her relationship with Riven a secret. She knows Valtor could use it against her.

So yes, beneath the dark motivation, there's still a heart.

Fucking finally, I got a drawing tablet again, and ofc my first endeavor is Winx fanart. Does anybody else see the vision? I'm obsessed with Stella and Darcy as foils. (Lets ignore that I've got no idea what to do with Stella's nose and lips. Still working on the hair also)

if Darcy and riven were in a toxic relationship (or maybe actually abusive idk), who do you think would be the one to cut it off for good and why?

Honestly if it were just up to them, with no outside influences, neither. Now, Darcy was shown to be able to drop him like a hot potato under the influence of her sisters (pussy) but if it was "just" abuse, she wouldn't let go. She'd cling for dear life and Riven would respond in kind, biting in and not letting go. Now, with the outside influences... Riven. He'd need either a huge wakeup call (like Darcy becoming a terrorist like in canon lol) or he'd need to grow emotionally and understand he doesn't *need* nor *deserve* what Darcy is putting him through and that he doesn't love her anymore, it's trauma bond. Now for that he'd need help and support of his friends, problem is Darcy is great at isolating him from them. But yeah, to answer it plainly, it's Riven, it's always Riven. I am a firm believer in Riven x Musa Endgame AFTER Riven x Darcy, and Riven needs to be the one to leave Darcy- Riven is the best thing that happened to Darcy and Darcy is the worst thing that happened to Riven. Darcy could have had him and they COULD have been happy together and they'd have married and maybe even have had kids, if only she weren't so evil and horrible. She ruined it, she will always want it and she cannot have it. And if, god forbid, Trix ever DO win for good, it will do her no good. She wants love, his love, and she ruined it and it ain't coming back.
