So, I have a little something embarrassing I don’t like admitting, but I’m hoping others may have the same issue I do and maybe know a trick or two on how to stop doing this.

Basically, my vivid imagination is sometimes a curse. Out of nowhere, I can start imagining myself in certain situations and, even though they are fictional, I get genuinely upset by my own thoughts and this imaginary scenario my brain provided me. I just did a half hour ago, and actually started crying because of the scenario. - I don’t want to go into details what it was about, since it’s not really important.

I’m wondering if anyone else reading this does or has done this as well and if they have some suggestions on how to stop yourself from doing it? I know the obvious answer is “just don’t”, but obviously if that was all it took, I wouldn’t ever do it.

My imagination can work me into such an emotional state that it can actually affect my mood for a whole hour if it was a particularly bad scenario. This one was bad, but not one of the worst ones. But I’m sick of my brain working AGAINST me. It’s like my brain is the bad guy sometimes and just wants to hurt my heart just for the sake of hurting it.

Bad brain. BAD! xD

So... anyone got any pointers that could help me battle this?
