Breathe—you're alive. Breathwork brings us back to the body. When we listen to the breath, we become aware. Aware of sensations, emotions, and pleasure. Our mind/body keeps us breathing unconsciously, so we often take this gift for granted. Take a few minutes today to connect with your breathing, your body will thank you. Here is a simple practice to calm the nervous system. You can do this anytime/anywhere: Find a comfortable place to sit and gently close your eyes. Take a minute to affirm you feel safe in your body. Visualize yourself in a protective bubble glowing in white light. No one can enter your bubble, you are safe here. Breathe deeper and start to become aware of your breath. Where do you feel the rise and fall in your body? Place your hands here to connect. Gently slow your breath to a 3 sec inhale, and 3 sec exhale. Once this feels comfortable, slow down even more to 4 sec inhale, pause and hold your breath at the top of the inhale for 1 sec, exhale for 4 sec, and hold at the bottom for 1 sec. If it helps, visualize a flower opening as you inhale, and gently closing on the exhale. Repeat this cycle of breathing for 5-15 minutes (or longer!). Once you feel complete, return to your normal breath. With eyes closed, place your hand on your heart and thank your body for slowing down. You deserve it. 🤎 . . . #breathwork #breathe #yourealive #breathingexercises #calmingbreath #calmdown #honorthybreath #honorthyself #slowdown #selfcarepractice #selfpower #powerofbreath #powerofself #selflovespo #selflovejourney #selfloveclub #selfloveisthebestlove #honorthy #byoliviaoh (at Breathe Easy) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-hRKYBnn6L/?igshid=1qodpmmhqia9t
