i saw someone say that if you follow the month/day/year format, almost everyone (rip december and later in the month birthdays) has a Taylor Swift song birthday. The month is the studio album and the date is the track on said album. So me, born June 6th, would have the 6th song on Taylor's sixth album be my birthday song, aka, LWYMMD

i'm very picky about tv shows, but my pickiness has only an incidental relationship to whether or not a show is "good". it needs to scratch a particular itch in my brain at the right moment. do i know what the right moment is? no. do i know what the itch is? also no. i can be relied upon to get instantly bored of 85% of tv shows and then turn the remaining 15% into a central facet of my personality for 3-5 business months and even i am incapable of predicting which one it'll be ahead of time.

that comment about how you should not borrow grief from the future has saved me multiple times from spiraling into an inescapable state of anxiety. like every time i find myself thinking about how something in the future could go wrong i remember that comment and i think to myself: well i never know, it might get better. it might not even happen the way i think it will and if it does happen and it is sad and bad ill be sad about it then, when it happens. and it’s somehow soo freeing

It’s been one year since my bunny Miko passed away. Grief has never left me, but I think I learned to live with it. And just like I made loving him a part of my own person, I turned this grief into a continuation of the love he gave me.

The thing I would be most heartbroken to lose if tumblr were the close are gifsets. Nothing recommends a show to me better than a gifset. Nothing lets me appreciate a show like a gifset. The minute facial expressions, the colouring, the set design, the dialogue, the gif maker's own twists and artistic additions, I love it all so much and you just can't get it anywhere else.

man the crazy thing about babies is that like, some people would think that reading a baby a book about farm animals is teaching them about farm animals, but really it’s teaching them about the concept of a book and how there’s new information on each page of a single object, but really, beyond that, it’s teaching them how language works, and beyond that it’s really actually teaching them about human interaction, and really really it’s them learning about existing in a three-dimensional space and how they can navigate that space, but actually, above all it is teaching them that mama loves them.
