Dark Fantasy:
A merger between the horror/thriller and fantasy genres, dark fantasy movies are just that – dark in tone and incorporating disturbing imagery and plot lines.

this is what i mean when i say “actually tolerance isn’t all that bad” this guy says several times that he doesn’t understand and even is uncomfortable, but that that isn’t what matters. imo, that’s how tolerance works.
true tolerance is, “i don’t have to understand, because you don’t need my permission to live. my job as a member of your community is to have your back, whether i understand your situation or not.”
Live footage from our first Among Us game
felt inspired to make this after reading some of the comments on my post about liking history
I think it’s really important for those who study history, both academically and recreationally, to make spaces for historical discussion as hostile to white supremacy and bigotry as possible. Make the space uninhabitable for them and hopefully we can clear the name of some of these really interesting fields of study.
Me, banging pots together: ODIN WAS QUEER, NORSEMEN TRADED EXTENSIVELY WITH NORTH AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST AND WOMEN COULD DIVORCE THEIR HUSBANDS IF HE WAS SHITTY, THE SCANDINAVIAN MIDDLE AGE IS NOT YOUR HYPERMASCULINE ETHNOSTATE PARADISE
Okay but Achilles and Patrocolus were gay, change my minndddd.
Presenting: The funniest game of Among Us ever played, in 6 pictures.
going thru phone pics and found this thing that was tacked up next to the toaster at my old job, if anyone needs some light toast eating reading material
Would anyone be kind enough to transcribe this or link to a text version?
Everything Is AWFUL and I’m Not Okay: Questions to Ask Before Giving Up on Yourself
Are you hydrated?
If not, have a glass of water. Dehydration can mimic or increase feelings associated with anxiety and a well hydrated brain functions optimally. Avoid excess caffeine.
Have you eaten in the past three hours?
Don’t be a victim of hanger! Get some food–something with protein, not just simple carbs or high-fat. Nuts, hummus, and veggies are great options to feed your studying brain. Keep healthy snacks within reach to avoid mindlessly chowing down on sweets.
Have you stretched your legs in the past day?
If not, do so right now. If you don’t have the energy or time for a run or a trip to the gym, just walk around the block or building. Even minimal exercise preps the mind for learning so that you can focus better and recall things easier, plus it’s good to get a change of scenery.
Have you said something nice to someone in the past day?
Do so, whether online or in person. Make it genuine! We bet your study partner would appreciate a compliment.
Have you moved your body to music in the past day?
If not, jog for the length of a song at your favorite tempo, or just dance around your bedroom for the length of an upbeat song (singing along is a bonus)
Have you cuddled a living being in the past two days?
If not, do so. Don’t be afraid to ask for hugs from friends of friends’ pets. Most of them will enjoy the cuddles too; you’re not imposing.
Have you started or changed any medications in the past couple of weeks, including skipped doses or a change in generic prescription brand?
That may be screwing with your head. Give things a few days, then talk to your doctor if it doesn’t settle down.
If daytime: are you dressed?
If no, put on clean clothes that aren’t PJs. Give yourself permission to wear something special, whether it’s a funny t-shirt or a pretty dress.
If nighttime: are you sleepy and fatigued but resisting going to sleep?
Put on PJs, make yourself cozy in bed with a teddy bear and the sound of falling rain, and close your eyes for fifteen minutes while focusing on breathing deeper with every breath- no electronic screens allowed! Adequate sleep is a necessity for stress management.
Do you feel ineffective?
Pause right now and get something small completed, whether it’s responding to an email, loading the dishwasher, or tidying up your room. Good job!
Do you feel unattractive?
Take a darn selfie. Your friends will remind you how great you look. You are always insta-worthy.
Do you feel paralyzed by indecision?
Give yourself ten minutes to sit back and figure out a game plan for the day. If a particular decision or problem is still being a roadblock, simply set it aside for now, and pick something else that seems doable. Right now, the important part is to break through that stasis, even if it means doing something trivial.
Have you over-exerted yourself lately–physically, emotionally, socially, or intellectually?
That can take a toll that lingers for days. Give yourself a break in that area, whether it’s physical rest, taking some time alone, or relaxing with some silly entertainment for a little. Time spent refreshing yourself is never time “wasted!”
Have you waited a week?
Sometimes or perception of life is skewed, and we can’t even tell that we’re not thinking clearly, and there’s no obvious external cause. It happens. Keep yourself going for a full week, whatever it takes, and see if you still feel the same way then.
You’ve made it this far; and you will make it through. You are stronger than you think.
Because someone might need this today
My psychiatry professor says individuals with a higher IQ when children must be stimulated to develop it further or else they are more susceptible to develop anxiety and depression and also “falling off the curve”. And since as a child you can’t control the circumstances of your development, I’m sad to inform that your family and society have failed you.
This explains…..so much
Your family and society failed you but not because they weren’t “intellectually stimulating” enough. It’s because everyone thought you were mature because you were book smart, and thought you needed less teaching and care because of that. And let you build an identity on being a “smart kid” without helping you build your own inherent self worth, or skills you need to be a functional, emotionally stable adult. Now you’re not a kid anymore, or feeling particularly smart after burning out and realizing the peak of your life was in elementary school. The solution isn’t to throw kids in harder classes and give them more stress and expectations to live up to, it’s to work on them as a person instead of as a set of skills needed to find a job. Also keep in mind that psychiatry professors, psychologists, behavioral scientists and the like aren’t the true experts. Their knowledge is second-hand. No amount of studying can teach them more than what mentally ill people know from their lived experiences. Signed, a former “gifted kid” with anxiety, depression, and dissociation PS: IQ is fake and meaningless pseudoscience.
I’ve been attacked
CNN Live coverage when Trump was walking towards the church
Holy fucking shit
“When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and waving the cross”
I watched a camera man cornered on the ground being hit in the face repeatedly with a police tactical shield until another officer tapped him and told him to stop. A Camera man. A network crew member.
He had the nerve to demand CNN retract their story about tear gassing the protesters for a photo op saying it never happened. . CNN was like fuck you. It happened cuz we were there. He also mad cuz their polls along with Fox new polls shows Biden ahead of him. Wanted CNN to retract that story too. But nah.
I was watching live when it was happening. Can you believe you went to school for Journalism only to get your ass beat for doing your job. The first second of this vid, the guy in the brown t shirt was the one I’m talking about, like 4 times that cop hit him. The cop wouldn’t stop until another one told him to stop. Cop saw the video camera and just didn’t care. Wild scary times.
That was the Australian news crew covering the protest out of the Australian Embassy. Their government has demanded answers as to why this happened. I haven’t heard if we’ve officially responded.
