Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery") is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. A somewhat reclusive clan with an heir who everyone thinks is a crime lord or something equally unsavoury? A wandering ronin with an ill reputation and looks to match? Will they meet and test their mettle in a battle to the death?! Uh, wait what do you mean they just went out for tea and mochi cakes– — This is the premise. Is this also how the story begins? Not exactly, no… but it's close enough.
