“Music?” I whisper, and he nods adamantly. I go silent, turning my attention to the woods as well… and what I hear makes my blood run cold. The soft, almost ethereal sounds of the harp float through the air, making Donny and I both freeze in our tracks. Donny turns back to me again, this time with an expression of pure terror.

“There it is again!" He hisses, his cognac brown eyes staring into mine. I shake my head and he looks back towards the dimly lit woods with apprehension. “Listen.” He whispers.

“Is that—” Donny cuts me off with a harsh “Shh!” and I purse my lips, my skin crawling in dread. Along with the soft sounds of the harp, we could hear the singing… of a woman.
