This is probably going to sound very online
But your pro choice advocacy cannot begin and end at legalizing abortion. Otherwise you're just pro abortion
And that probably sounds off sync in a political climate where pro life essentially equals anti abortion. So I'll give a better example
Lets say that a woman gets raped and becomes pregnant. This is a very common scenario that pro choice advocates bring up. But, instead of wanting to abort, she wants to keep the pregnancy. If your advocacy cannot support her alongside women (or anyone with a uterus) who wishes to abort, then you aren't pro choice, you're just pro abortion
Pro choice advocacy needs to include support systems for new parents such as access to baby supplies and childcare, it needs to include widespread access to better healthcare, it needs to include extended paid maternity and paternity leave
A lot of you still want to take the choice away, you just do it leftishly
And it needs to be gender inclusive, coming from an intersex trans man who wants to become pregnant, but some of you still haven't figured out the inclusivity of cis perisex women yet so I'm picking my battles
Abortion is a truly life saving procedure that ensures the health and safety of many many people, but if someone can't or won't abort, you need to stand up for them too
