As soon as they were in the locker room, Ilya sat heavily on the bench. His face was sweaty and pale, except for his cheeks flushed red from humiliation. When Shane looked closer, he swore he saw tears forming.

“Ilya…”

“I am fine,” Ilya interrupted sharply. “I have always wanted to throw up on the ice. I thought it would be funny.”

Shane sighed and knelt in front of him, grabbing his hands. “Ilya,” he repeated. “You don’t need to keep pretending everything’s okay. It’s okay to be–”

“I said I am fine.” A crack slipped through his voice as Ilya tore his helmet off. It rolled off of the bench and hit the floor with a loud thunk. Then he less than gently untied his skate laces and yanked the skates off. “But I think I will be sick again, so I am staying here.”

You PURCHASE a HOME that he BUILDS FOR YOU and then you PAY HIM FOR HIS SERVICE. He charges no interest he sets no time limit it is a relationship built on trust. the only penalty you get for not paying off your home is that he won't build more home until you pay him for the first one. A guy that builds you a house wherever you want him to and then charges you for the cost of construction is not a landlord you own the fucking home
