Shane rubbed it onto his back and shoulders, making sure to work it in and not miss any spots. Chemo and radiation left Ilya’s skin more susceptible to severe sunburns, so he didn’t want to take any chances. Then he handed the bottle to Ilya so he could do his face and scalp.

“Will you get my back, too?”

“It might get inappropriate,” Ilya teased.

“In front of everyone? Weird.”

An assortment of sex related injuries hollanov have sustained:

-Shane smashed his fingers in between the headboard and the wall one time (the jolt of pain that shot through him as Ilya kept pounding into him made him make a sound that was not entirely agony)

-some lube spilled on the hardwood floor and Ilya slipped and fell on his ass (cue Shane laughing his ass off until Ilya is not getting up for like ten seconds Should I call an ambulance? to which Ilya replies, panting heavily I AM FINE)

-so many instances of sprained adductors. like it’s a miracle that they manage to heal fully before Shane pulls them next time. And that’s not even taking into account the sprains he gets during hockey

-that one time Ilya got a hamstring cramp that wouldn’t go away for a couple of days (baby, have taken magnesium? yes. have you tried rolling it out? yes. do you want me to massage it out? yes 🥰)

-difficult to say how actually close and how many times Shane was to a concussion from banging his head on the headboards. This tally is also tainted by hockey to be fair.

-and you’d think with how hard they go, one of them should have broken his penis at least one time by now, but actually by some miracle neither of them have. which is a fact that Ilya manages to weave into any conversation with anyone with a broken limb (I’ve never broken any bones, you know, not even The Bone he says chuckling proudly, gesturing to his crotch)

I love Wyatt Hayes and I love that the no 1 thing we know about him is that he's a nice fucking guy. He's friendly, he's outgoing, he's helpful! He's just so freaking nice. He decides to befriend Ryan, he decides to befriend Ilya, he does NOT take no for an answer. You WILL be his friend. I love him so much.

Dr. Beaumont gave him a brief, rueful nod. “You’re right. But without these treatments, the tumor most likely would have grown significantly by now. I highly suggest you keep doing them.”

Ilya just nodded and watched as Dr. Beaumont put the images back in his file. He wanted to feel hopeful about the changes. He wanted to keep fighting in an effort to see the tumor shrink even more.

Ilya always canonballs into the pool. This man has never used the ladder or stairs.

If Shane tries to get on a float to relax in a pool, Ilya WILL flip him over.
