okay this scene makes me INSANE:

in every way neil is kept grounded by andrew by physical touch. andrew stepping closer to neil and taking his weight, andrew's hand on the back of his neck, and now, neil reaches out to him for that comfort even though he knows it "crosses a precarious line" and andrew lets it be

Stupid, beautiful Kevin had tried his best to defend Jean. After all, he was blindingly obsessed with the Trojans; it was reasonable to assume Jean would also find a Big Three team captivating. He’d only dug Jean’s grave deeper with that argument. Riko hadn’t even known Jeremy was a factor then—it wasn’t the Trojans he’d caught Jean staring at with such unsubtle and idiotic devotion. Riko hadn’t wasted his breath correcting Kevin, not wanting to give him any more reasons to protect their worthless third wheel. so we all know that canonically jean wants to pull a murder suicide with kevin but not a day goes by without me thinking about the idea of suicidal kevin only keeping himself alive so jean lives

I don't know who needs to hear this but other people like different ships than you. Other people interpret characters differently than you. Other people have different kinks than you. And other people are going to engage with a piece of fiction in ways different than you.

That means there is going to be fanfics that you don't like, because its not what you prefer to read and/or it depicts the characters in ways that you don't see them.

And that's ok.

So for the Jerejean stans who are losing their marbles because "oh no, the twitter people are pushing the kevjean agenda!" and "oh dear me, there are fics on Ao3 that have jean cheating on jeremy with kevin!" and "this is just unacceptable, I mean thats so ooc, thats not how they would act at all-" pls take a step back, calm down, and block whatever it is that you don't wanna see

do not make posts bringing down other people for expressing their creative freedom and writing about a ship they like

do not bring down people who enjoy that ship and shame them for their own preference

and absolutely do not make a post about a specific fic, bringing that fic down for not being what you like, and publicly shame an author into not wanting to write what they like

Neil picks up the habit of kissing the top of Andrew’s head after doing it absentmindedly one day. Andrew eventually grows used to it, though he puts a remarkable amount of effort into pretending he hasn’t. then, one day, as Neil leans in, Andrew unconsciously tilts his head ever so slightly, offering the crown of it for the kiss before he even realizes what he’s done. the moment he catches himself, he tries to disguise the movement as casually as possible, but Neil notices immediately. a barely concealed smirk tugs at his lips as he gently presses a kiss to the top of Andrew’s head anyway.

ngl it’s so crazy to me that some people think andrew choking kevin was out of character for him. there’s plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise, but the scene where he goes after allison in particular shows that when andrew’s promises conflict with one another, (ex. aaron vs neil), he prioritizes the one that he deems most pressing in that moment. what’s more, if someone stands in the way of andrew’s efforts to protect someone, he will always, ALWAYS, escalate. it’s a knee-jerk reaction. it’s tunnel-vision. choking kevin was not a premeditated decision to hurt someone he cares about, it was a goal-oriented response to the fact that neil was in danger. i’m not saying that characters cannot be poorly written, but as @andrewminyard-josten has articulated before, it’s really crazy to refer to the CANON CHARACTER as ooc because he doesn’t match your perception of him.

Thinking about that time in TKM when Neil punched Aaron and “Aaron took a couple of bored steps out of Neil’s reach and calmly checked the corner of his mouth with his thumb.”

Being bored is not 🚫 a normal human response to being hit. Aaron didn’t even flinch, and I think that shows how traumatized he is because of Tilda that being struck doesn’t even phase him anymore.

It also seems like he does the same trick Neil does where he looks at a person’s arms to judge the safe distance away from them, and I think it’s so sad that they both had to learn how to do that.
