I'm alive, I promiseābut it's been a while since I posted, and I'm back with a new shifting method! I'm not gonna stall any longer, so here are the steps (it should be pretty simple lol).
Find a comfortable position, whether you're standing, sitting, or lying down, just be comfortable.
Now, imagine you're floating in space. You can see the stars twinkling in the distance, but you can't see the sun. You can't see the moon. You're floating in a random galaxy.
Feel behind you (not actually move your arm, but envision yourself feeling the space behind you), and there will be a cord tying you to your spacecraft.
Now, envision a voice. It will speak the words 'You are at your next destination'. Feel free to change the wording a little bit, but it should have relatively the same meaning.
And then, the cord behind you will be cut. Envision yourself being propelled towards one of the stars. That is your DR.
And when you get to the star, you will start to fall. You will fall until you find yourself falling onto/into your DR-self.
Feel the world around you. Keep your eyes closed.
And then, when you think you're ready, open your eyes.
Okay, I know I have the attention span of a three-year-old, but just for the recordā but what if I were to make a reality shifting fanfic? Let me know you're thoughts lmao
how to shift whenever (from an experienced shifter)
i see so many people still talking about shifting like itās this impossible thing, like you have to beg the universe for it or spend months trying every method out there. so hereās the truth, from someone whoās actually been shifting consistently for a while:
you can shift whenever you want.
and no, thatās not just motivational bs, thatās literally how it works when you understand what shifting actually is.
shifting isnāt something you try to do. itās something you allow. the version of you that already lives in your desired reality? they already exist. your job isnāt to create them , itās to align with them.
you donāt need to feel tingles or hear signs or vibrate at some perfect level. you donāt need the perfect sleep schedule or the perfect script. what you need is clarity.
clarity that says: āi know what i want. i know it already exists. and i trust myself enough to go there.ā
when i shift, i donāt force it. i donāt chase it. i become it.
itās just a decision:
a breath.
a moment.
a quiet āiām already there.ā
and then i fall into it.
not because iām trying so hard, but because i finally stopped trying.
once you drop the resistance, once you stop doubting, you realize how easy it is. how natural. how familiar.
thereās no big secret. no magic formula.
just presence. trust. surrender.
and once you taste it? once you know you can do it?
i need every shifter who sees this to create their own definition of shifting and get intimately acquainted with said definition instead of looking to every other shifter to create the definitions for them. that way, you arenāt diminishing the very real experiences youāre having just because they donāt fit into the box of expectations youāve already been given by others. (READ MY COMMENT FOR MORE)
Hi! As I promised, hereās my method post (the one that also made my friend shift to her DR on her very first try, proud mom mode on). Actually, I was planning to wait until I made it perfect, but it doesnāt seem like thatās gonna happen anytime soon.. (Also even though it did not satisfy me aesthetically, I am sharing it today because the important thing is the content) so if I ever notice something I forgot to add or decide to change later, Iāll just edit the post.
Itās gonna be a long one, so Iāll try to divide it into sections (red ones), you can skip directly to the part youāre interested in! (But please donāt forget to read the āsymptomsā section first; itās important so you donāt freak out.) Still, Iād love for you to hear the whole story before the actual method.
First things first, you need to know that you donāt need any method to shift. Setting an intention is truly enough. This one isnāt exactly a method either, itās more like something that helps you set your intention more easily (whatever this means) or helps you catch that exact moment between being awake and falling asleep. (Thereās no ārightā moment, I just say that to describe it better.) Itās kinda like wbtb, but not completely.
About this method / backstory: So, where did this method come from, and why is it called āNothingā? Well, I actually discovered it by accident. I just realized it worked for me. As someone who used to fall asleep all the time and had wrong information about shifting back then, I was almost ready to give up, until I noticed I was getting symptoms again for the first time in ages. I think thatās when it all started. At that time, I used to fall asleep listening to Alunirās meditations, and I began experiencing the symptoms Iāll mention soon.
That was back in 2024. After a long break from shifting (you know, Iām that person who tries to shift on and off, then takes long breaks), when I got back into my shifting era, I managed to make this method more effective for myself, and realized it actually helps me experience everything.
Again, you donāt even need a method, finding what works best for you is what matters most. But maybe this could work for someone out there too (hopefully).
As for the name āNothingā, itās not because you literally do nothing, but because when I once asked myself, āWhat should I do to shift?ā, the answer I got was simply āNothing.ā So I said, āFine then, Iāll do nothing.ā And thatās how the āNothingā method was born.
My Journey / Successes: What Iām about to write now, everything from 2024, are things I had noted down back then. Iāll share them exactly as they were. So even if I had already shifted before (and honestly, some of these notes make it look like I did), my first intentional and proper shift (without grounding myself) was in 2025, after I opened my Tumblr account and started journaling here!
October 13, 2024: I dreamt about shifting and started getting symptoms (Iāll talk about these in the next section).
October 31, 2024: I got symptoms again, and the meditation sound in the background suddenly turned into a demonic voice (Iāll also explain why thatās not actually scary in the next part).
November 5, 2024: Experienced the same symptoms again.
November 22, 2024: I shifted inside a dream (it was definitely a dream, but I donāt remember it clearly).
December 8, 2024: I remember my ears ringing with pressure.
December 23, 2024: I had a dream where I thought, āIs this what shifting feels like?ā Everything was so vivid and clear. (I even wrote in my notes that I could sense everything with all five senses. So if thatās true, and I remembered it in detail, it was probably a shift, though I canāt be 100% sure because itās been such a long time.)
April 8, 2025: At night, I remember my mom opening my door and asking, āDid you fall asleep yet?ā The next morning during breakfast, I asked her if she had really done that, and she said no, she only peeked in quietly but didnāt even cover me up because she didnāt want to wake me. But I know she asked me that. I saw and heard it clearly, and at that exact moment, I was already feeling the symptoms and even thought, āMom donāt distract me, Iām trying to shift.ā So.. it was probably my first real shift. Because it wasnāt a dream, and I only realized later that it might have been a shift.
From this point on, the rest of my experiences are from when I consciously started trying this method and I also shared them on Tumblr, so Iāll leave the links too.
October 7, 2025: my first astral experience and shift.
October 8, 2025: my first lucid dream experience.
October 25, 2025: my dream to shift to lucid dream experience.
October 26, 2025: my friendās first shift.
I also experienced the void state a few times (not sure when though, I donāt know why I didnāt note it down, or maybe I did and just forgot where I put it).
PS: If I had known back then that I shouldnāt be scared of the symptoms and shouldnāt focus on them, Iād probably have shifted intentionally a million times by now, maybe even permashifted. Thatās why Iām telling you now: donāt focus on symptoms, donāt freak out. Youāre safe, and you always will be. Thereās nothing to be scared of. Iām saying this because I once wished someone had told me these things.
Possible symptoms and my friendās shared experiences: The reason I couldnāt shift back in 2024 was because I kept focusing on the symptoms (yes, I experienced all of them). So again: Do NOT focus on symptoms. Do NOT freak out. Easier said than done, I know, but remember, none of these things are actually happening to your physical body.
Possible symptoms include:
Ear ringing or pressure in your ears
Heart beating like crazy
Feeling pressure even in your gums or head
Feeling like your body (or a part of it) is floating, my arm did once, but it wasnāt physical
Hearing demonic voices or changes in the subliminal/melody youāre listening to
Feeling like you canāt breathe
Spiraling (this oneās kinda weird but itās like.. leaving your body in a spiral motion, though technically, youāre not āleavingā it)
Melting
Not feeling your body at all
All of these are normal. You might not feel any of them, or you might feel totally different ones, and thatās okay too. But if you do feel them, please donāt panic and donāt focus on them. Just say things like: āIām safe.ā, āIām able to shift / oobe / astral project.ā
Personally, repeating āIām safeā throughout the whole process helps me a lot. Itās what made me have my first oobe and shift. When I felt the symptoms, I didnāt panic, I just told myself āIām safe, I can do thisā and let it happen.
Before doing this method (Recommendations but not necessary to do it): This part has nothing to do with the method itself, but increasing your awareness for a few days or even a week before shifting (or as long as you want) might help. Throughout the day, you can say affirmations like: āIām pure consciousness.ā āIām pure awareness.ā āIām more than this reality.ā āIām more than this body.ā āIām in control.ā āI can shift anytime I want.ā
You can also fall asleep while watching the āDream Machineā visual (Iāll leave the link here, you donāt have to do anything, just play the video, close your eyes, and keep watching the lights behind your eyelids).
Becoming aware of what youāre doing throughout the day can also help raise your awareness. Notice that youāre brushing your teeth when youāre brushing your teeth. Notice that youāre breathing when youāre breathing. Notice that youāre blinking when you blink. Do things consciously, not automatically.
You can also repeat affirmations like: āWith every conscious or unconscious blink, Iām shifting to my chosen reality.ā āWith every conscious or unconscious breath, Iām becoming a master shifter.ā (Which is true, because you already are a master shifter!) Of course, you can change the affirmations to whatever makes you feel more comfortable. The most important thing is to do what feels right for you!
These exercises will help you realize that you are pure consciousness and that you are the one in control. But again, you donāt have to follow every single step. The point is to adapt this method to what feels comfortable and natural for you. Doing these steps or not doing them is completely up to you! They might help, or they might not, what truly matters is how they make you feel. Youāre free to skip them if you donāt want to!
Method: Okay, about the method. Before you sleep (I recommend doing it before your night sleep, but itās not necessary, whatever makes you feel comfortable is all that matters!), set your intention like: āIām choosing to shift tonight, and Iām sure about it.ā It doesnāt have to be perfect. Donāt overthink whether itāll work or not, just say it and let it go!
And the position doesnāt matter at all! You can literally sleep standing on your head if you want to. Ā Do whatever makes you feel comfortable. But if you want to avoid focusing too much on your body, you can try lying on your back. (Personally, I just pick whatever position feels most comfortable at the moment.)
Then, before sleeping, weāre gonna play our list! (Which list, Aria?)
First of all, I want you to prepare a playlist on Youtube (or anywhere you prefer). It doesnāt have to be super long actually, your shift will probably take around 3 hours max (honestly, not even that long, trust me), but something around 8ā10 hours might be better.
So, what should this playlist include? Whatever you want! You can add songs, movies, or even random videos like āeverything you need to know about dinosaurs.ā This part is completely personal, the key is that it should keep you slightly aware.
But honestly, I prefer subliminals. Youāre going to sleep with subliminals playing, and weāll also add some silent videos in between. The silence should last just long enough to let you drift into sleep, but not long enough to make you fully fall asleep, it keeps you right in that sweet spot between sleep and wakefulness.
But before that, donāt fall asleep right away! You need to fall asleep without realizing it.
Now, there are two versions of this method: with headphones or without headphones.
You can start reading whichever version you want to try, theyāre almost the same except for a few small details.
Without Headphones Version: What I want you to do here is open your playlist and let it play softly in the background. Yes, without headphones. (For this, I really recommend Alunir! You can play one of Alunirās audios since they also include affirmations, but honestly, it doesnāt matter what you choose! Just make sure thereās a bit of silence in between the sounds, enough to let you fall asleep but not too long. If youāre using Alunirās meditations, you donāt need to add extra silent parts.)
Once youāre lying down and the subliminals are playing in the background, relax your body completely. Donāt focus on the subliminal itself. The important thing here is not to fall asleep right away (youāll do that later, but not yet). Just watch the darkness behind your eyelids, literally watch that darkness. And while you do that, you can think or affirm things like: āIām shifting.ā āIām already in my desired reality.ā āIām pure consciousness.ā
You can also say things like: āIām freeing myself from ego, fear, and doubt.ā āI accept and release them, and I allow myself to shift.ā
Or anything else that feels comfortable for you. You can change the affirmations depending on your goal, whether itās lucid dreaming, astral projection, the void, or shifting. But please make sure to say: āIām pure consciousness.ā and āIām pure awareness.ā
For shifting specifically: if possible, try to imagine where youāll wake up, sense the room, the atmosphere, how it feels, whatās around you. Think about what youāll do when you wake up, whatās your plan for tomorrow, etc.
If youāre not good at visualization, thatās totally fine. Just try to stay awake for a bit, because the goal here is for your body to fall asleep while your awareness stays awake. You can remind yourself: āIām pure consciousness.ā
When you feel your current bedsheet, ask your mind: āHow do you even know this is real?ā
Play little tricks on your brain, because your brain doesnāt actually know whatās real. If you say āIām there right now,ā itāll believe you. Say āIām more than this body.ā If you hear sounds or voices from your current reality, say: āItās from my desired reality.ā Or āHow do I even know itās real?ā
Trick your mind!
You can also count to 100 if you want, and if you start mixing up the numbers, thatās fine! Just keep counting from a random number. Youāll probably notice yourself mixing up words or numbers while saying affirmations. When that happens, donāt overthink it, donāt try to remember where you left off, just continue from any random number or word.
You can move a little too, like turning to your side, thatās totally okay. Just donāt make yourself fully awake again.
At some point, your body will naturally fall asleep no matter how much you resist it. But please, donāt say āugh, I canāt sleepā and turn off the subliminals, just let things be. Even if you get frustrated or feel like you canāt fall asleep, keep the subliminals on. (As I said, it doesnāt even have to be a subliminal, around one hour of audio is usually enough for your body to drift off.)
Because even when you think youāre not asleep, you actually are, your body will fall asleep, and your consciousness will remain aware.
At one point, youāll have that dozed-off moment. If the subliminals wake you up, every time that happens (and make sure you set this intention before sleeping), remind yourself:
āIām shifting right now.ā or āI choose to shift.ā
Donāt open your eyes, donāt stop the music, just go back to sleep.
At some point, your body will fall asleep completely, thatās basically the whole method. Whether you have a lucid dream, astral project, enter the void, or wake up directly in your DR, I donāt know, so just go with whatever feels right for you.
And if you get any symptoms I mentioned earlier, please donāt panic! Just tell yourself: āIām safe. Shifting is safe for me, and I allow it.ā
Donāt focus on the symptoms! Feeling like youāre flying, floating, or swaying is totally normal, thereās no earthquake.Ā Just fall asleep again.
You can also set the intention to wake up directly there.
With Headphones Version: What I want you to do here is put on your headphones and start your playlist. (Make sure your headphones are comfortable and wonāt bother you while lying down!) I recommend using 40ā60 minute subliminals for this, but again, it really doesnāt matter what you choose! Just make sure thereās a bit of silence in between, long enough to help you fall asleep.
Once youāre lying down and the subliminals are playing, completely relax your body. Do not focus on subliminals! The important thing here is not to fall asleep right away (you will later, but not yet).
Just watch the darkness behind your eyelids, literally watch that darkness. While doing that, you can think or affirm things like: āIām shifting.ā āIām already in my desired reality.ā āIām pure consciousness.ā Say things like: āIām freeing myself from ego, fear, and doubt.ā āI accept and release them, and I allow myself to shift.ā

You can remind yourself: āIām pure consciousness.ā When you feel your bedsheet, ask your brain: āHow do you even know this is real?ā Play little tricks on your mind, your brain doesnāt actually know whatās real. If you say āIām there right now,ā itāll believe you. Say: āIām more than this body.ā If you hear voices or sounds from your current reality, say: āItās from my desired reality.ā or āHow do you even know this is real?ā
Trick your mind!

Oh, and when the silent subliminal or video starts playing, donāt say āwait, did my playlist stop playing?ā and check it. (Yes, thatās from personal experience)
Also, if you shift to a version of your drself whoās already awake and standing, itās actually easier to tell that youāve shifted, youāll clearly notice the difference between a dream, lucid dream, astral projection, and a full shift. So donāt worry about that!
This method can also work even if you donāt do it exactly this way. If youāre super tired, just sleep without thinking anything. (Seriously, if youāre about to fall asleep in a second, do NOT think about anything, just sleep.)
It also works when you wake up during the night! For example, I usually go to bed around 8ā9 pm, and when I naturally wake up around 3ā4 am,and go back to sleep while thinking āIām shiftingā with my playlist still on, it works perfectly.
What should I do if I lucid dream: If it turns into a lucid dream, people usually say to make a portal, but for me, just thinking about my dr was enough. Just tell yourself youāre shifting, and youāll be there. The melting or spiraling feeling is totally normal, do not panic! (Also, to get out of the lucid state, you can shift to a random place first and then move from there to your dr, that was easier for me.)
What should I do if I astral/oobe: If it turns into astral projection, donāt panic, especially if you feel ear ringing, pressure, or your heart beating fast. Those are all normal. Keep telling yourself youāre safe! Spiraling sensations are also normal. If your goal is to shift to your dr, just think about it, youāll get there. And believe me, youāll have plenty of time to think, so stay calm. DO NOT PANIC. Youāre not actually feeling those symptoms in your physical body. And even if it is astral, if you say āI want to shift to my drā you will.
What should I do if I get into the void: If you see light or lights, focus on one of them and follow it, itāll keep growing, and youāll find yourself in the void. From there on, do whatever you want! Iāve never shifted from the void, but probably just thinking about your dr will be enough. (And donāt forget to remind yourself that youāre safe and calm!)
I successfully shifted but my vision is blurry: If your vision is blurry (like youāre looking through frosted glass) when you shift or if you canāt feel all five senses, donāt freak out, stay calm and donāt think about going back. Focus on your breathing, touch something hot or cold, or gently pinch yourself (not hard enough to hurt) thatāll help you ground yourself there. (I still havenāt shifted to my dr, I did shift once, but I freaked out, didnāt ground myself, and ended up in a random reality before realizing I was in my dr. Thatās why I donāt ground myself to random realities, but people say it helps, so if you shift, and you probably will, you can try it!)
If you ever feel panic like āitās too real, how do I come back?ā, donāt say you want to return. Just remind yourself: āIām safe, I can return whenever I want.ā Also, be open to random shifts if you want! Just to prove to yourself that itās real (itās honestly funny, you should give it a try).
Ps 1: If I forget to mention something, Iāll edit this post later, no point in making you wait longer! And if you have any questions, please use the ask box since I sometimes miss the comments.
Ps 2: I worked really hard on this post, so I really hope youāll shift, otherwise, Iāll haunt you and make you shift. (I want everyone to experience shifting! And if it doesnāt work on your first try (which it probably will), please give this method a few more chances. Try again after some time, because methods donāt make you shift, they just help.
This one, though, isnāt really a method, itās more like a tool that helps you catch that thin line between sleep and wakefulness more easily.
Try it in different states: when youāre super tired, fully awake, or somewhere in between, adjust it to what feels best for you!

⢠the atoms in your body were forged in old stars. we're literally stardust. weāre made of star dust, carbon, oxygen, iron forged in old stellar furnaces. same elements, new arrangement.
⢠arrange matter a certain way and it starts noticing patterns. arrange it a bit more and it starts noticing that itās noticing. that second loop, consciousness, is like a mirror the cosmos grew inside itself.
think ocean and wave. the wave is not the whole ocean, but itās nothing but ocean. youāre a local wave of universe, curling for a moment, then folding back.
ā¢if youāre the universeās eyes here, then attention is reverence. how you look at things changes how things look back. small acts, like manifestation, mediation, affirmations, become cosmic housekeeping. the macro cares for itself through the micro.
so when you look at the moon, itās moon-matter (you) looking at moon-matter (it). the universe grew eyes and a brain and started saying, āwhoa.ā evolution is one long experiment in making better maps. consciousness is a map that can also point back at the mapper. self-reference unlocked.
does that make it mystical? it can be, but itās also practical: if your attention is part of the universeās feedback loop, what you notice, nurture, and name changes how the universe behaves, through you. tiny choices, cosmic echo.

To shift is to make a sandwich. You find a PB and J recipe online. You don't have no peanut butter? You improvise with another spread. You don't like any jelly? You improvise with the stuff you have. You have no idea what you're doing, and the sandwich you're making is completely different from what you see online. In the end, you might not have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but you still have a sandwich that you made based on what you had and liked.
