Your ai generated junk is disrespectful to monks, nuns, and other iconographers who dedicate hours, days, maybe even months to their work which is a centuries long tradition. Plus, it's probably also disrespectful to those being depicted in the junk.

I know a lot of times we can complain about priests or the Mass if it's not the way we want it to be, but I think it's really important that we all acknowledge how privileged and lucky we are to be able to go to Mass at all. There are people being killed right now for being Catholic. Many of us get to go to Mass (daily Mass in many cases!) in relative peace without much concern of our safety. It's okay to prefer one form of Mass to the other, or to have qualms with the way a priest does something during the Mass, but I think we all need to take a step back sometimes and see how lucky we really are.

I was curious, because I kept seeing people who are defending the SSPX say that they 'repeatedly asked for dialogue' with Pope Leo. I know that several months ago they announced they would be doing this, ghat the Vatican told them they better not, and then lo-and-behold they did it anyways. The conflicting information comes from faithful Catholics and non-Catholic news sources that say that Pope Leo had tried to continue the dialogue between the Holy See and the SSPX, and that the SSPX denied that dialogue, because they wanted to ordain bishops without the approval of the Pope.

So a few points to put out for people on the SSPX side of things:

The Holy See warned the SSPX back in February that this would happen if they continued on with their plans. There was no "Pope Leo refused to talk to us or say anything" like I've been seeing SSPX sympathizers saying. They were warned that they actions would cause schism months before Pope Leo sent the personal letter. Don't be fooled.

As well, it has been against Catholic teaching since at LEAST 1983. It appears to also have been part of the 1917 code, lest anyone say that the SSPX don't follow the current Code of Canon law, as promulgated by the Catholic Church. It reads: Can. 1387— Both the Bishop who, without a pontifical mandate, consecrates a person a Bishop, and the one who receives the consecration from him, incur a latae sententiae excommunication reserved to the Apostolic See.

There is more I could say on the matter but I wanted to be clear in this. Unless you deny the authority of the current Magisterium, the authority of Pope Leo, the argument cannot be made that the SSPX are in any way in the right on this. They are in direct disobedience to the Church, even if Pope Leo had NEVER sent that personal letter, because they never intended to get approval before "consecrating" bishops. This is an act of selfishness and pride on the part of the SSPX clerics, and they are actively deluding lay adherents and lay sympathizers, acting like they are a sick dog that's been kicked. It is NOT traditional to disobey the Holy See or the Code of Canon Law. The Vatican did nothing out of the ordinary to warrant a dissent in will, as would be appropriate if the Vatican or the Pope had done something evil or against Church teaching.

I've had this said to me in several forms many times over my life.

This is one of the things that turned me from pro-choice to being against abortion. I'm adopted from a very impoverished part of a country and, with the context surrounding my birth, every pro-choicer has justified my death in one way or another because of multiple factors. Being poor, disabled, and born of out wedlock? Yeah no, better off dead than my current circumstance where I have a supportive family, healthcare that saved my life, and a stable job that I enjoy. Lol!!!!

I can't stress enough how damaging it is to hear this argument.

"What if it's disabled?" You say this to an autistic woman. I am married, deeply loved and in love, and have a healthy son. My father is autistic. My brother is an autistic game designer, who married a lawyer-in-training with only one arm. You dare imply that our lives are not worth living?

My brother's prenatal tests suggested potential Downs Syndrome. Same with my son. Abortion was presented as an option in both cases, and denied furiously. Neither were born with Downs. Not that that would have mattered, as they would have been loved anyway, but the tests were wrong. The excuse of potential disability was used to try to murder my brother and my son. How many have been taken by the same, Downs or not?!

But better off dead to avoid potential difficulties than happy and fulfilled and loved in life, huh? Make no mistake, that's what this argument is saying.
