how’s that house that raised you?
can anyone remember that post about how children write the best poems & it had an article attached showing the differences between little kids' poetry & preteens?? im desperate to find it again
ok i found it! it's called the average fourth grader is a better poet than you (and me too)
here are three of my favourite excerpts
3D Pinball for Windows – Space Cadet (1995) devs. Microsoft and Cinematronics, LLC
on earth we’re briefly gorgeous / ocean vuong
Good Girl and Other Yearnings, Isabelle Correa
thinking about edvard munch's "The Sun" (1911)
like yeah thats how it feels. thats what it feels like to exist sometimes. he gets it
Also very big! Takes up two stories!
Anthem, Leonard Cohen
Can I Please Eat In The Computer Room Tonight? by Nicole Nikolich (2025)
also how culture works
“One day she realized that she was the only one who could live her life. So she decided to stop worrying about what other people thought and start following her own path. She never looked back.” - Samantha Gilbert
Glen Martin Taylor, “but i am safe in here.”
Image description: a teacup inside a box that is missing one side so you can see inside, many nails are sticking in the walls and the roof of the box, the nails do not touch the cup inside but some just barely. Handwritten text on the box reads: "But I am safe in here" end Image description
