It's crazy for me to think I have been watching QLs for 10 years now. A decade. Going from finding badly cropped versions of shows on YouTube or risking my shitty old laptop with virus on illegal streaming sites to having them just there on streaming sites and multiple of them airing at the same time, it's been amazing to watch the community for them grow.

In 2014 little 14 year old Siff saw a bearly minute long clip of Love Sick and thought 'yeah that looks good' and now I have option of what show/movie can watch, the genre,length,actors, or just over all vibe. From the stillest kisses and thumb covered lips to ass eating and pool sex in front of the Deutsch bank and actual lesbian relationships.

From Love Sick and Puppy Honey, Addicted: Heroine and Advance Bravely to KinnPorsche and Gap, The Eighth Sense and My Personal Weatherman, my love for these shows have grown stronger and as I have grown into my own queer identity has provided a sence of comfort.Whilst somethings haven't changed (looking at you 'step-bros), a lot has, and I honestly cannot wait to see what the future for this genre holds.

2026 is only 15 days in and boy has it been rough. Going into this year I had a line up of shows I was gonna finish watching/start, but life sucks.

The first of January I find out my nana has passed away, meaning I had to deal with my aunts and cousins pulling the 'woe is me' card (I understand they are grieving but they bearly visited the woman let alone spoke to her. They made it into a competition to see who can greive more and get more sympathy from stangers. One of the hijacked the funeral and did everything nana didn't want).

The day I returned to work, one of our machines broke and I was the only person who had clearance to call head office and that took about 4hours with them constantly referring to other people and each wanting proof it was broken. And it's still not fixed properly.

And then today, not only did I have to get a heart scan done (which was 14 YEARS of waiting), it turns out I only have a mild beat irregularity and they had no answer for my life long fainting issue. So now we are back at square one. BUT i also brought my cat to the vet becasue she wasnt acting her usual self only to have to have her put down due to kidney failure.

My year is shit so far and all I want to do is curl up and watch my gay little shows without any news or dissipointments. But unfortunately I can't. Fuck this shit.

But now I know. The snakes threw me off, but I remember my beloved webseries from 2015. Counter Attack was a hot mess but I loved it all the same. Cannot wait to see the full story brought to life after 10 years.

that’s their language. not confession, but action. not sentiment, but sacrifice. die for each other. kill for each other.
