Eh, I'm bored. Random headcanon time:
Yang, finishing a story: " [...] so the moment dad said Ruby's full name, I knew I needed to run for the hills.
Ruby: "You left me behind!"
Yang: "Sis, dad used the whole name. That's code for 'I want no witnesses'."
Weiss, curious: "Wait, Ruby's full name?"
Ruby: "Yeah," shrugging. "I don't use it much because it's a mouthful."
Blake, about to ask: "--"
Yang, grinning: "Ruby Yin Rose Xiao Long!"
Ruby, stiffening for a second: "Yang!"
Blake: "It's not that long of a name, though."
Ren: "I imagine Yin is complimentary to Yang?"
Ruby, nodding in defeat. "It was actually my first name."
Weiss, blinking: "What do you mean?"
Ruby: "Dad wanted to name me Yin after Yang, and it stuck until I could talk." She closes her eyes, remembering with a smile. "But I once mentioned to mom I didn't like it as much, and she asked me what name I preferred." Pointing at herself. "So, I said Ruby."
Pyrrha: "Oh, that is really cute."
Nora, chuckling: "Also, you're far from having the longest or most embarrassing name in our group."
Jaune, immediately: "Nora..."
Nora, innocently: "What?"
Jaune: "No."
Yang, already smirking: "Wait, what's going on?"
Weiss, looking between them: "Is there something we should know?"
Jaune: "No, there's not."
Yang: "Nora?"
Nora, smiling far too brightly: "Sorry, I promised to not SAY anything."
Also Nora: silently pointing at Jaune.
Jaune, hanging his head low: "Traitor."
Ren, putting a calming hand on his shoulder: "It was inevitable."
Pyrrha, trying not to smile too much: "Jaune…" sighing. "It's better if you just say it.
Blake: "How bad could it possibly be?"
Yang, now grinning: "Oh, this is gonna be good."
Jaune, eyes closed and accepting his fate: "Fine..."
Jaune, inhaling: "Jaune Viridian Cerúleo..."
Ruby: "That's not so--"
Jaune, looking straight ahead: "... Añil Pourpre Rubedo Damascos..."
Weiss: "That's unconvent--
Jaune, squinting from the emotional effort: "... de la Doncella de Otoño dei Santissimi Fratelli Grimm...
Blake, wide eyed: "Uh..."
Jaune, blinking again: "... Rex and d'Arc."
There's a silence. Everyone expecting there to be more name.
Weiss: "You have to be joking."
Jaune, resigned: "I wish..."
Ruby, blinking several times: "That was one name?"
Jaune: "Legally."
Blake, genuinely impressed: "'De la Doncella de Otoño'?"
Jaune, rubbing the bridge of his nose: "Family tradition."
Weiss: "'Rex'? As in 'king'?"
Jaune: "One of my ancestors, allegedly."
Yang, stunned: "Holy..."
Nora, smirking again. "His name is already holy, I think?"
Jaune, fully defeated. "Santissimi. Yes."
Ren: "It means 'Most Holy'."
Yang: "Of course it does."
Ruby: "And 'd'Arc' is at the end?"
Jaune: "That's the actual family name."
Blake, genuinely curious: "How long did it take you to learn to write your own name?"
Jaune: "My parents had to explain it to my teachers first."
Ruby: "I don't feel bad about 'Ruby Yin Rose Xiao Long' anymore."
Yang: "You mean mister 'my name is every color of the rainbow, and also holly, and also a king'?"
Nora, proudly: "I call it the director's cut."
Yang immediately burst out laughing, so did Nora. Even Pyrrha had to hide a polite smile.
Jaune simply sighed.
Ruby and Weiss silently considered in what order to add Rose and Schnee at the end.

The whole damn thing:
Jaune Viridian Cerúleo Añil Pourpre Rubedo Damascos de la Doncella de Otoño dei Santissimi Fratelli Grimm Rex and d'Arc.
de la Doncella de Otoño - Spanish "of the the Fall Maiden", signifying Valean ancestry
I wonder what Jaune thinks in the future knowing that his ancestor was a past Fall Maiden and that the current one is his enemy that he wants to kill?
Funnily enough, at first I considered making it "Custodio de la Doncella de Otoño" (custodian of the Fall Maiden), but it felt one tad too long as to ruin the flow of the joke.
I think at first it would contribute with his self-destructive spiral during the Anima arc. Jaune feeling his family was trusted to guard the Fall Maiden, promised on their name, and he didn't even know about it, recognized when Pyrrha was about to become one, and now was hunting down the current one.
After Haven, and being confronted on the self-destructive patter by Nora and Ren, I can picture Jaune trying to conciliate the idea of Cinder being the Fall Maiden he's meant to protect, and her being, well, Cinder.
Maybe land at the conclusion he has to protect the powers, liberating them from Cinder. Or try and reach out for Cinder to turn her to their side.
Hmmmm.
Now there's an idea.
Maybe after Cinder’s death, Jaune searches for the next Fall Maiden so that he can personally keep watch over her, as his family and name promises. Perhaps adoption could be on the table if she’s young enough?
