Longtime readers may be aware of how much I relish an excuse to bully a company, so I'm sharing the wealth;
Clothing company Patagonia is currently sueing drag queen Pattie Gonia for "irreparable” harm to their brand.
To be clear; Pattie named herself after the region in South America.
So Pattie is asking people to politely ask Patagonia to drop the lawsuit.
I'm extending the invitation to all of you, because sueing a drag queen for 'infringement' in the current political cultural landscape is vile. Especially a drag queen who has raised millions of dollars for non-profits, uses her platform to raise awareness for climate activism, and fully aligns with Patagonia's apparent climate-conscious mission statement.
They're claiming they're sueing for $1. They're actually asking her to stop using her name, and pay over $1 million in legal fees. They're straight up harassing her.
In contrast, drag queen Jan Sport has a Jansport bag line. It's that easy to just... work with a queen.
Anyway. Be respectful(ish), but feel free to be annoying on Patagnoia's socials, asking them to 'DROP THE LAWSUIT'
I think they have a twitter and tiktok too!
this sucks im going to kill (remembers suicide jokes are bad for my mental health) the president of the United States. (end statement)
girls with brown eyes can have anything they want
rocky sick of your shit, statement.

Lately I’ve been really into being honest to people about my positive feelings towards them. I told my classmate that I’ve admired her creativity from the start and named a project of hers that I loved, and her face lit up! I took the train with a project partner the other day and told her that I always have so much fun with her, and it prompted an entire conversation about the difficulties of graduating from ‘classmates’ to ‘friends’ and both of our insecurities in this regard (and how we’re definitely getting coffee later). I express my gratitude honestly. I say what I feel if I’d be happy hearing it, myself. I remember details so that I can refer to them later. Once you realize how great you can make someone feel, all of those mundane moments become so special. It will maybe even create some lasting connections, something I think we could all use more of.
important life tip regarding the current political climate:
optimism is important.
gratitude is important.
if you are happy, that is wonderful.
but don't let that become ignorance. don't let that blind you from the current events happening around you.
DO NOT allow yourself to be brainwashed into thinking everything is fine when there are people whose rights are being taken away and whose families are being separated from them.
love and light is nice, but you need balance. it's okay to be angry, it's okay to be upset, rightfully so!
and before i get any notes saying "this is a witchcraft blog, stick to that", witchcraft is inherently political. it is what gave the oppressed a sense of power and control over their oppressors.
i will never prioritize a theme or aesthetic over speaking out.
"don't worry scientists will invent a way to solve climate change!" They already did... several times over... just the people who didnt like their solutions (cough cough oil companies) had enough cash to shut them up both legally and illegally
"There is nothing wrong with adults living with their parents for any reason and it's actually the norm in huge parts of the world."
and
"People should be able to afford to live independently if that's what they want."
are statements that NEED to coexist.
I went to a market recently that was absolutely swimming in appropriation of First Nations religious and cultural items.
I'm talkin white people selling rattles and dream catchers, white people banging First Nations style drums, white people teaching talking stick workshops, that kinda shit
So what do you do when you see this crap? How do you show your disapproval in a way that makes them give a shit?
I'll tell you what I do. The point is to show them that appropriating Indigenous cultures will lose them customers.
When I see fakey Native art I say something like "Oh wow, you make dreamcatchers! What nation are you from?" (Use tribe in the states)
I used to ask point blank if they were Native, but I'd nearly always get some Cherokee great grandmother bullshit, or even "I'm not sure, I could have some Native in me!"
Most of the time they don't know what I'm talking about, because they're not Native and don't know that this is a very normal thing to ask when meeting another Native.
When they ask me what I mean I say "I mean your tribe, which First Nation are you from?"
This is the point where they sheepishly mumble that they are not First Nations.
I let my face fall and say something like "Oh. That's disappointing" or "Wow. Unfortunate."
I let it get awkward. And then I leave, shaking my head in disapproval.
You may feel like you need to educate them on cultural appropriation but here's the thing: it's 2025. They know. Brenda the middle class reiki shaman is FULLY aware that her smudge fans are stolen culture. She doesn't care. The only way to make them care is to hit them where it hurts: the wallet.
Make them think that you would have purchased what they are selling if it was AUTHENTIC.
If you wanna go the extra mile send an email to the organizers, in your best white people voice, and tell them that you are disappointed that they are facilitating culture theft.
Go out and make Brenda uncomfortable!
not to be a snitch, but if this is happening in the US you can also straight up report Brenda for a fine up to $250k under the Indian Arts and Crafts Act.
Once a boy looked very sadly at me after a little bit of conversation. ‘you’re so smart’ he said, ‘I feel like I couldn’t keep up’. And then he did that sad boy face where you’re supposed to agree to tone yourself down. So I said ‘probably’ and fucked his mate.
some top advice from a slut, here, 90% of the time when some boy looks sad and tells you you’re too ‘x’ to keep up with it’s a ploy to get you to cut bits off yourself so you can come down to his mediocre level; instead, agree with him and fuck his mate
fuuuuck that is my circus. are those…? yep… those are my monkeys….. goddammit.
finally the season. to post this image
