One thing about the Whole Bridget situation is that we got a trans character who got to have their story of feeling out of place with their gender, doing a good bit of self reflection, realizing their trans, coming out, and socially transitioning all happen.

No subtext

No mistranslations

No censoring out in localization

Just a straight up trans girl, figuring herself out, and having an extremely true to life conversation about her being unsure if she's ready to admit it to herself let alone come out to others.
