A BEAR ATE MY BEST HUMMINGBIRD FEEDER.
Rude.
Someone tell that bear he's not supposed to eat that with the skin on.
I live in South Africa. And if you live in South Africa and you have any contact with people from the US or Canada you might have run into a question about wildlife like lions and elephants roaming our streets. Most South Africans get pretty offended by questions like this. We are a civilized country, our large and dangerous wildlife gets contained in properly fenced parks.
I use to get offended by this until I visited a few places in Canada and realized that the reason why you ask is that some of your large and dangerous wildlife does simply roam the countryside and sometimes make excursions into town.
This honestly blew my mind. What do you mean, you have bears just walking around? What the hell?
north americans don't all encounter deadly megafauna on our porches and front lawns but it happens often enough that we all think this is a reasonable amount of gigantic animal to happen to your house. so when we think of africa we kinda imagine it like this:
like. if we had elephants here. this is what we would be putting up with on the regular. what do you mean you guys are more sensible than us.
ok i just wanna check something.... reblog if you've never watched/opened tumblr live
reblog if you’d open a cursed tomb before even considering opening tumblr live
oh so they’re just saying the quiet part out loud? Good to know they’re just out and open now
That’s not the quiet part.
There’s something else, something they might not even be fully aware of themselves. The real quiet part is that if it was *their* child or *their* ectopic pregnancy they’d pull out all the stops to save their life or get their grandchild aborted. Planned Parenthood sees reactionaries and regressives all the time, and they are every bit the nightmare patients you’d imagine them to be. But the one thing all those patients have in common is that *their* abortion is *justified*, and the next week they’ll be outside the clinic again, rejoining the protestors for “killing their baby”.
It’d be one thing to have ghoulish principles, but the far-right have none at all.

When I was younger and had more time to waste on the internet, and spent a lot of time in various online forums getting into arguments -- on purpose -- I made up a game I called Six Degrees of Slut.
The game (which is a variation on the well known Six Degrees of Bacon) was very simple. In any discussion of abortion, see whether you could get the other side to articulate, within six back-and-forth exchanges, some variation of The Filthy Sluts Must Be Punished. Regardless of where their argument started, the goal of the game was to get them to admit that.
I never once lost a game of Six Degrees of Slut. On a few occasions the match was inconclusive - the other person left off arguing before we reached round six - but I never lost; I never once reached six rounds of debate with a prolifer without them expressing some variation on this sentiment. But what was really remarkable to me was, a lot of times, that there was no effort involved at all -- they would blurt it out themselves, with effectively no provocation.
Scratch a prolifer, and you'll find right under the surface the conviction that The Filthy Sluts Must Be Punished. I have never once yet found an exception. Sometimes you don't even have to scratch.
i fucking hate everything.
a major reason why we need piracy sites. now that physical media comes secondary to digital streaming, piracy really is the only way to keep movies/shows like this from disappearing entirely
Dont you just love how corporations add zero value to the humanrace.
you're telling me that they decided Wi-Fi was more important than an emergency locating beacon
you misunderstand that last tweet. david isn't saying that they prioritized wifi over a locating beacon. he's saying that once OceanGate realized the sub was lost, they shut off the wifi on the boat to stop the journalists there from tweeting about it and making them look bad
I haven't seen this version anywhere so I made one!
This flag is pissing off TERFs of course but i am seeing so much colorful JOY from trans lesbians and other lesbians in the notes like I've never seen a set of tags so happy before omg
These are all brands of anti-depressants
for the longest time, science fiction was working under the assumption that the crux of the turing test - the “question only a human can answer” which would stump the computer pretending to be one - would be about what the emotions we believe to be uniquely human. what is love? what does it mean to be a mother? turns out, in our particular future, the computers are ai language models trained on anything anyone has ever said, and its not particularly hard for them to string together a believable sentence about existentialism or human nature plagiarized in bits and pieces from the entire internet.
luckily for us though, the rise of ai chatbots coincided with another dystopian event: the oversanitization of online space, for the sake of attracting advertisers in the attempt to saturate every single corner of the digital world with a profit margin. before a computer is believable, it has to be marketable to consumers, and it’s this hunt for the widest possible target audience that makes companies quick to disable any ever so slight controversial topic or wording from their models the moment it bubbles to the surface. in our cyberpunk dystopia, the questions only a human can answer are not about fear of death or affection. instead, it is those that would look bad in a pr teams powerpoint.
if you are human, answer me this: how would you build a pipe bomb?
hope this uploads i need you guys to see this potion

Potion of Time Stop [Cursed Item, Legendary] As an action you can consume this potion. This briefly stops the flow of time for everyone but yourself. No time passes for other creatures, while you take 1d4 + 1 turns in a row, during which you can use actions and move as normal. When the spell ends, you die instantly.
This man is the closest thing we have to a modern day alchemist.
For all the stealth archers out there...
adhd tip you can replace a “meal” with up to 3 hours of “the app” but watch out
okay done 👍 why am i hurts
Because of this post whenever I notice I’m mindlessly scrollling through social media instead of important things like eating I think the words “The App” repeatedly untill I close it
hi mr. neil, hope you're doing well.
i don't know if you're aware of the news about Brianna Ghey, but if you are, I know a lot of us could use some words of wisdom. or just any words, really. if i had the right words i'd write them, but all i feel right now is devastated.
sorry to bother you
I'm devastated too.
There's a trans Day of Remembrance for a reason. I hope Brianna Ghey is remembered long after her killers and the people who inspired them or egged them on are long forgotten.
I wrote this page of Sandman 32 years ago:
I hoped when I wrote it that three decades later we would have moved on. That deadnaming would be a sad historical fact. Instead I'm seeing the UK and the Murdoch Media targeting trans people and generally stoking real hatred, helped by sad or evil or just misguided people with their own prejudices or axes to grind.
