Really pisses me off when someone makes what would be a really good post about misogyny but then drags trans men into it, and wildly misconstrues their experiences to paint then as benefactors and/or perpetrators of said misogyny. And then when people (usually trans men) point out that what they're saying about trans men is not accurate and usually transphobic they start in on the whole "typical man you want to talk about everything except misogyny don't you". Like no, I would love to have a genuine conversation about the way misogyny has shaped out culture and the effects that has, you're the one insisting on shoving your head in the sand and refusing to listen to marginalized people about their experiences.

its not even about individuals internalizing toxic masculinity. and its also not even about individuals who just individually don't care about trans men! i am not making a point about how individuals think here really. the point is that across the spectrum of political ideology and feminist identification and genuine trans allyship, people consistently. CONSISTENTLY. will overlook using a three letter word to clarify that they understand trans men are not cis men and that the "men" privileged on a systemic level under patriarchy are cis men, even when its a situation which would genuinely be absurd to think trans men were considered or valued.

the cissexism in feminism runs so goddamn deep. and its not reducible to any individual's attitudes because people can genuinely know and care and love trans men and still pull this shit constantly. its an ideological problem that goes beyond any one person.

Count Binface is an intergalactic space warrior with a bin on his head. he likes to run as a novelty candidate in general and mayoral elections. a big thing he likes to do is run as a candidate against the incumbent prime minister:

Nigel Farage is currently in the midst of a big scandal about his finances

He has decided to deal with this by 1) making a show of nobly resigning from parliament and then 2) immediately running in the resulting by-election

He has stated that he is letting 'the people' judge his actions and implied that if he wins that will prove that he has been exonerated in the court of public opinion

His goal was presumably to get a big resounding win over the other parties, proving that The People still love him.

the other parties have thus far decided that this is a 'vanity election' and, well, there is one very easy way to ensure that he will not beat any of them, and that is simply not to play.

and as a result the only person who has so far confirmed they are running against him is Count Binface. no matter the outcome this makes Nigel Farage look like, u know, a fucking clown.
