Hello everyone and a happy new year!

We’re happy to announce that the Regulus Fest will be back for a second round! ✨

Like last year, we welcome any ship, era, and side-characters, as long as Regulus is the focus of your piece. Additionally to fics and art, we’re also happy to have gifsets, moodboards or fanvids this year!

Schedule:

Prompting: 15th-29th of January

Claiming: 31st of January - 27th of March

Works due: 28th of March

You can find the rules for the fest here, or shoot us a message or an ask. We’ll post further information when we get closer to opening prompting, of course.

We’re excited for another round of this fest, and looking forward to see what everyone comes up with! ❤️

↳This post was largely inspired by @midgetmeredith ’s ’THE “SAKURA IS USELESS” COUNTER-ARGUMENT MASTER-POST!’ ♡ There isn’t much to add except that I’ve been part of the Naruto fandom for approximately 8 years now and I can say, without a doubt in mind, that a vast percentage of individuals that have kept up with Naruto (including myself) - not just the anime (which has about 200 episodes worth of fillers aka NON-CANON episodes) but the manga, novels, etc - are fond of the series’ heroine and give her the upmost respect she deserves (as we all should). Keeping this in mind, I’ll wrap up this post with a quote from Donald Miller,

No but Toph was a professional earthbending wrestler with the power to feel the whole human body at once through vibrations with enough accuracy to tell lies. Toph: twinkletoes you pick people up and drop them and blow them into walls. katara hits people with water hard enough to throw them to the ground and encases them in ice. Zuko’s straight-up throwing fire at people. Sokka hits people with a club.

Toph: when you hit people really hard they often die. I mean, I feel it every time. not counting the head trauma and frostbite that probably means they die later.

Toph: ….did you guys not know you were killing people?

Zuko: I mean I wasn’t going to bring it up but she’s right

Toph: I thought we were all doing it on purpose!

Zuko: it’s all in self-defense, it’s not like we’re going out of our way to kill people, but these things happen. Sometimes people have to die to protect everyone else. I thought you understood that already
