We got some pretty wild storms today! Pillomin, who is both a pluviophile (someone who loves and is comforted by the sights and sounds of rain) and a ceraunophile (someone who loves the thunder and lightning of thunderstorms), eagerly awaited the storms' arrival this morning, peering out the window through the blinds. Then, once they were upon us, he begged me to open the doors so he could see what was happening. He happily watched out the front door and then the back door as the wind, rain, thunder, and lightning raged outside. While all the other rootlings in the house were hiding under blankets or otherwise occupied, Pillomin was perfectly content to watch nature's power, finding both joy and peace in it. ❤️

I'm not saying everybody needs to have, like, a collection of creepy dolls, disconcerting figurines, and/or mildly horrifying puppets, but if you don't have at least one kicking around somewhere I feel you're missing something essential in your life.

Oh also, I just learned the lore of Labubu today. I didn't know that Labubu was a specific character, like Kitty with Hello Kitty, and that she is

1.) an elf

2.) a trickster spirit, and

3.) dating a human skeleton

His name is Tycoco! Why did no one tell me that Labubu is dating a human skeleton? I think that is extremely based of her.

He always looks like he's just gone through something, though....
