Summary -
Remus has decided to abandon everything they know to forge their own path alone. Janus finds this reckless, but also finds them very amusing.
And maybe they'll both teach each other something they didn't know they needed to learn along the way.
nooo babe you dont understand
I HAVE to watch every sander sides episode and analyze the sides like im their therapist

Everyone talks about janus lying but honestly one of his most consistent traits is being absurdly direct once he's allowed to speak
He'll just walk into a conversation and go
"Hello. The problem is this."
And everybody acts shocked

As a fic writer with anxiety here is my PSA for any fic readers that also have anxiety about kudos and comments:
No we don't think it's weird if you kudos or comment an older fic. Quite the opposite. We love it! I often end up rereading my old fics and remembering who and were I was when I wrote them and the memories I have attached to them.
A string of emojis is better than no comment. I don't need eloquent paragraphs.
Similarly keyboard smashes are also fun! They almost always make me laugh.
Leaving cute things in the tags of reblogs is not cringe. I love them. I love seeing them. Also you wanted to share my writing?? I immediately love you.
Likes and kudos are great if that's what you have spoons for, but if you can leave even just a heart or a reblog with no tags then it will always mean the world to me.
Sending me asks about my fics will probably make my day!

In a chance encounter, Virgil and Loganās evening activities are interrupted by each otherās presence. But somehow, a disruption might be exactly what they need.
Or, four times Logan found Virgil, and one time Virgil found Logan.

Title from Adia by Sarah McLachlan
Ok but like. The concept of patton's role is just. Fundamentally so fucked up.
He's the inner child and the inner parent at the same time. He's their paragon of innocence but he's also their strict moral compass. He's in charge of thomas's long-term memory- his nostalgia, his regrets, his longing for the past. He's the embodiment of all of thomas's emotions, good and bad. He's both the source of and subject to thomas's overwhelming sense of guilt. He's the man upstairs but he's just your dad knocking on your bedroom door but he's also the teary eyed kid who's kneeling at his bed and telling god that he's sorry.
Like holy fuck man i'd turn into a really big frog too

Cordelia and Doyle often wondered what Angel was brooding about all the time. It couldnāt have been that interesting if he never shared his thoughts with them.
Then again, maybe he just thought about too many things too often.

crazy thought I just had, in-universe explanation for the inconsistency of virgilās eyeshadow
as we know, s1 virgil has much lighter eyeshadow than he does in accepting anxiety onwards. at this point, thomas clearly meant for it to be a stylistic choice on virgilās part and not something fundamental to his being ā ārude much? I was just touching up my eyeshadowā (losing my motivation)
but but BUT what if that was him trying to disguise the severity of his eyeshadow so as to hide how heās truly feeling? (maybe at janusā suggestion? I wouldnāt put it past him)
me when I think too hard about silly youtube show about silly youtube guy
I havenāt seen anyone talk about this yet (I donāt think) so here I go to do it myself
(rewatching sanders sides w my friend who has never seen it)
my friend pointed out that itās odd how patton is given the title āmoralityā when he doesnāt really start doing morality things until a bit late into the series (we only just got through Moving On, so she doesnāt even know that part yet) and it got me thinking about it in-universe
BECAUSE patton used to be right brain!!! (and ik the events of wids are to be taken with a grain of salt because they arenāt exactly what happened, the sides werenāt actually there yet, etc etc) so like at what point in thomasā life did patton begin exhibiting such a moral compass that it outweighed his being an emotional core?
and I know that heās both ā thomasā moral decisions are heavily influenced by his emotions, and thatās why patton has jurisdiction over both. my point is that the specific term āmoralityā wasnāt even associated with him when he was forming, so when did it start being associated?
Iām inclined to believe that as thomas got older and began encountering more and more complicated decisions, patton felt an obligation (basing this off his actions specifically in svs and dwit) for somebody to step into that role to ākeep thomas in lineā (or whatever) and god knows logan and roman wonāt do it
itās just like idk interesting? to me? to think about the evolutions of the sides from their early 20s counterparts (and the WHY of it all), and I feel like I havenāt seen anyone talk about it other than like maybe lefty->logan?
anyway yeah some patton/right brain stuff for you to chew on
I need to get this off my chest it's episode 4 of Sanders Sides where Logan expresses frustration that he can't do an episode with Thomas without another side coming in and taking the attention away. Episode fucking four.
He has been feeling that steady sense of "my input isn't enough on its own and im not grtting enough attention and recognition from Thomas" since EPISODE FOUR. He gets some of his gusto back in the debate with Virgil, but he still kind of has to fight to be heard, fight for his opinions to be listened to by Thomas. He has a few moments postponing it but it's quietly spiraling and Logan can't keep hoping for and living for those few and far between moments of praise or recognition.
And this is what fascinates me so much- he's a teacher and wants to teach his facts but he knows no one wants to hear because they make that abundantly clear. He loves to talk but knows everyone tunes him out constantly. He's excited to learn something new, but feels ashamed and embarrassed when he gets something wrong because they keep pointing it out. He's clever and witty with wordplay but he doesnt want to be seen as silly like Patton is because he feels he has to be serious since no one takes him seriously when he's not. He's impressed when Patton(Janus) quotes famous philosophers but also feels intimidated when someone else sounds smart because what's he for then? He gets so excited about things like jam and Dr. Who but he tries not to show how excited he actually is because he's not taken seriously when he does that, and people have made fun of the things he enjoys in the past.
It just struck me that he was vying for attention that early, that he felt like he had to fight for Thomas's attention all the way back in episode 4. And it hurts my poor heart to know that what's happening with him has been brewing for a long time.
moceit crumbs in the patreon post
heās so fucking whipped why did he give in so quick. and why is patton reading what janus is typing as heās typing it. are you cuddling bro? thereās words for people like you.
