This is absolutely an unpopular opinion but like

I hate the concept of Blackjack Rouge

I get that people want to give Ace’s mother a more interesting presence than just The Fridged Mom, that’s 100% valid, but I absolutely Cannot stand the idea that the only possible way to make a female character interesting is to make her a fighter.

We don’t know a ton about Rouge. We know that she was willing to break her body and also the laws of biology in order to keep her child safe, but motherhood and womanhood aren’t seen as interesting or worthwhile things, so when people give her more attention in fics they always just kinda brush that aside to focus on making her a #slay pussyqueen girlboss pirate captain.

And I hate it.
