My Mad Fat Diary’s whole story resonates with me on such a deep level I can’t even explain it. The fact she’s called Rae, the fact she feels exactly how I used to feel, the fact she’s a bigger girl, the fact she has a counsellor and the fact that her accent is almost exactly the same as mine.

It’s like the whole thing was written about me and even though now I have finally recovered from such a painful part of my life, it’s still very much alive and I still know it very much happened.
