From their first meeting, to her joining the Straw Hat Pirates, to one fateful afternoon aboard the Thousand Sunny, life has had a way of surprising Amy Lajoie—and Amy Lajoie has had a way of surprising Sanji.
Love, of course, will find a way of surprising them both.
Black Leg Sanji x Original Character
Written with live-action Sanji in mind, but I'm doing my best to keep the plot consistent with manga/anime canon. Rated 18+ for explicit sex scenes

Hello it’s my birthday and I don’t want to do this but im going to use my birthday as a platform to ask for money :/ i do not have enough for my electricity or car loan payment this year so I would really appreciate the donations. I will link my cashapp and gofundme directly here but I also have a paypal if you message me about it I just feel weird posting it to my tumblr outright. actually just kidding have my paypal too im desperate. I prefer cashapp and paypal so I have access sooner but honestly anything is better than nothing.
I need about 700 to cover the two of them and I have posted pictures of the amounts on the gofundme. The link name is kind of incorrect on the gofundme but part of it is for the car loan to be fair

Go to paypal.me/morgchambers and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.

The sweet smell of cinnamon and butter greets you as you step through the front door.
You had known Sanji would be busy in the kitchen when you arrived home, so you softly call out his name, busying your hands with rearranging the shoe rack when you find there's no open spot left for your boots.
The hum of his voice calls back to you, but it's too far away for you to make out the words. With a smile you drop your bag onto the nearest chair, making a beeline for the bedroom so you can change into something more comfortable.
You catch sight of the mirror as you pass by and you stop abruptly in surprise. Confusion clouds your face. You could've sworn that the mirror was in a much worse state before you left, smudge marks and dust had lined the edges. There was even an old red lipstick mark from where you had kissed it before your date last month… but now it's as clean as it was the day you bought it (probably cleaner, in fact).
You shelf those thoughts for later, half convincing yourself that you'll remember to ask Sanji about it when you see him in a minute.
His voice snaps you out of your thoughts and you're quick to hurry onwards when he calls out your name again. With a stumble you practically fall into your bedroom, hastily you pull your shirt over your head and replace it with the washed out grey t-shirt that you had left on the bed before you left. Your eyes scan the room in search of something to wear on your legs, the heat from the kitchen has already started to prickle over your skin and so you opt for a pair of loose navy shorts.
You pay no mind to the haphazard way you've left your clothes out, the room is due for a good clear out and sort through this weekend anyway. That can be tomorrows problem.
You're basically skipping as you head back towards the kitchen. You haven't even been gone long, you only left to have lunch with Robin a few hours ago and yet you find yourself humming with excitement, ready to see him again and fall into his arms.
The sight of Sanji in the kitchen is a welcome one. He's wearing a faded pair of joggers that you know sit low on hips—low enough that when he goes shirtless (and forgets to tie them tight) you're lucky enough to see the hairs of his stomach begin to taper narrowly beneath the waistband. His face is pink, the tips of his ears glow a beautiful shade of red and you can see a line of sweat forming along his hairline.
He looks happy, peaceful.
"Hi, baby. What have you been making today?" You say with a smile as you come up behind him and wrap your arms around his waist.
You feel him tense ever so slightly when your hands slide beneath his shirt, but you choose not to mention it.
"Hello, gorgeous, I'm so glad you're back!" Sanji leans into your touch, humming affectionately before turning around to face you. He quickly loops his arms over your shoulders and he smiles when you step closer and rest your head on his chest. "I hope lunch was fun?"
You gasp, pulling away excitedly. "Oh! It was, very much so! I have lots to tell you because the food was absolutely insane and Robin was telling me all abo-" You cut yourself off and tilt your head questioningly when you realise Sanji is staring at you, "what are you looking at?"
He doesn't answer with words, instead you feel his hands dance up your sides, tickling your skin and causing a wide smile to light up your face. They find their resting place on your face, cupping your cheeks gently. There's a moment where all he does is stare at you—wide eyed and open—and then his lips find yours.
He kisses you like he hasn't seen you in weeks. Fiery passion scorching your skin as he holds your hips tight in his hands, making sure to protect them as he pushes you back towards the counter. The burning heat you had felt from the oven is soon smothered by the heat of Sanji's touch.
He tastes like cinnamon and sugar, the sweet taste of a love as everlasting and steady as the ocean. It's enough to have you melting in his arms.
You deepen the kiss, pulling him impossibly closer and he whines into your mouth in return. Sanji runs his tongue over your bottom lip, waiting for your affirmative hum—which you gladly give. Without hesitation he sucks your tongue into his mouth, rolling his tongue around yours sloppily. The taste of sugar grows sweeter the longer he kisses you.
Spit pools in the corners of Sanji's mouth. Your hand cups his jaw and gently you rub your thumb along his chin, collecting the trickles of saliva that managed to escape his mouth.
With great reluctance Sanji pulls away from you, resting his forehead against yours before leaning back and planting a gentle kiss to your skin.
"Cookies." Sanji says breathlessly. "I made cookies and cinnamon rolls and that rosemary focaccia that you love."
You smile, "you've been busy then."
Sanji laughs, leaning back further and pulling you with him towards the oven, an arm wrapped tightly around your waist. "I've got to keep myself busy while you're gone, my love. You know I miss you even when I blink my eyes, a whole afternoon without you is like torture."
"You're dramatic," you tease, your eyes shining brightly with affection.
"Only for you, my sweet thing," Sanji replies easily, the words falling smoothly from his lips like warm butter from a spoon.
The two of you stand together for what feels like an eternity, time passes differently when you're wrapped in each others embrace.
The smell of cookies and cinnamon rolls and rosemary envelopes you both, furthering the peaceful paradise you find yourself in.
you have permission to pick that 2 year old "abandoned" project back up. it's not mad at you for setting it aside. and maybe time and distance have helped ease or erase the things that made you put it down in the first place.
It really pains me to see people complaining about some of OPLA's subtler acting choices and pretending like certain stuff isn't there just because it isn't constantly shoved into our faces. Zoro's portrayal in S1 is hit especially hard by this. He has his "stupid" and goofy moments (the toilet comment, anyone?), they're more subtle and sporadic but they're very clearly there. He also shows emotional range, not as much as in S2 maybe, but he's not just "edgy" or sarcastic all the time. He's openly smiling in different ways at several occasions or becoming genuinely angry in others. It's just acted with subtler clues instead of exaggerated like it is in the anime/manga. It also makes a lot of sense from a character perspective that both Zoro and Nami are more guarded in S1 and loosen up once they're comfortable in the crew and surrounded by friends in S2 which you can also see already towards the end of S1. They both spent most of their lives on their own so far with no one else to rely on or comfort in. Of course they wouldn't be the most emotionally open people in existence and be wary about just goofing off all the time.
It really feels like media literacy is dead sometimes with how people are claiming they "fixed" Zoro in S2 when that is just the natural progression of the very character he already was in S1, just like it is for Nami. And I really hope they won't try to just go into more and more goofiness in the following seasons because I still see people complaining that he doesn't act as exaggeratedly and over-the-top as his anime/manga counterpart. (Though, fortunately, a lot less than there were back for S1, although Sanji and Luffy seem to have become the new controversy now).
