Kind of a rant, but I feel like most people only like fat/tummy people online. Like I have a lot of fat and I try to be proud and feel pretty about it, but most of the times I just suffer microagressions and by default am expected to cover up when I go out in public, anytime someone who is fat is showing their body fat or something, people automatically find it abhorrent and it makes me even less inclined to show myself.
Idk, everyone likes art of chubby characters with tummies and stuff, but being skinny is always the default anyway and most of the times if not a fetish it ends up being more of a piece of desire on another person who probably had to overcome immense oppression from society
I guess I just find it odd how much people online like fat characters when in real life they treat fat people terribly.
I like looking at that sort of art too, it often makes me feel better, but often it also makes me feel like my biggest insecurity is something that is only valued when it's for people to look at and go "Oohhh so sexy/underrated" or like only valued because it's often not valued.
I wished people liked fat people in real life too, but as far as I've seen this is only a reality online where we can be gawked at and filtered through, and it makes me feel terrible
