i dont want to be in a fandom that critisizes the choices of fictional characters like they are human beings. i want to see THEORY and ANALYSIS and STORY STRUCTURE and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!! I WANT PARALLELS AND MOTIFS AND VISUAL CUES!!! They're not REAL they are TOOLS so stop acting like they are people who made bad choices and should be punished. of course they made bad choices!!! that shit is funny and cool to watch!!
I like smut as much as the next person but yall aren't even trying to write anymore. All fanfic on here is just 300 words of sex and then just tagging any character you think fits.
No tropes
No storyline
No arcs
getting really close to breaking an eggs shell like
"I'm not giving them a cookie for doing the bare fucking minimum!" But have you considered the power in encouraging the behavior you want via positive reinforcement? Do you actually want people to change, or do you want them to stay the same because you'd rather keep complaining about them forever?
Iāve never seen a kid struggle with the concepts of someone being gay, trans, or nonbinary.
I did once have to explain to an almost 3 year old why a chihuahua wasnāt a cat and let me tell you THAT was a struggle and the kid was very mad about it.
@asynca I am deceased at your tag

studying history is like. here's to another beautiful day of not being pregnant and of having no obligation to ever be. thank you women who fight for abortion and contraception and independance from men for another beautiful day of not being pregnant and of having no obligation to ever be
To another day of not waking up pregnant or turned into a giant cockroach
so many perils out thereā¦
when i was a tiny baby queer (aka a 24-year-old), i went to my first pride festival probably three months after i kicked ex-gay therapy to the curb and came out to my parents. being the people they are, my parents came with me. they werenāt really sure about this whole gay thing, but they loved me and wanted me to be safe and happy and wanted to be involved in what was important to me, so they came along. (i also think my mother still might have thought i might get drugged or murdered or beaten by a protester of which there were plenty.)
anyway i wanted a memento of my first pride, you know, and this one vendor was selling keyrings, and i liked it, so i bought one. do you remember those italian charm bracelets that were all the rage like 10-15 years ago? it was a keychain like that, and it had a rainbow rooster, a rainbow cat, and then just a rainbow, and so I bought it.
i run into my mom a couple of vendors over and she goes oh you bought something? whatād you get? so i showed her, and i was like,Ā āIām not sure why itās a rooster and a cat. Seems kind of random. But I liked the rainbows.ā
and my mom, who was some form of ministerās wife for most of my childhood and teenagerhood, stares at me like she thinks iām joking.
āWhat?ā i say.
āā¦itās a cock and a pussy, Jules,ā she says flatly, and that is the story of how i died at the age of 24 while attending my first pride festival.
I love how every June this one gets dug up and passed around again, lmao.
oh no is this what weāre doing now

learning to notice an absence of people of color is crazy. you start seeing it everywhere. ill see a random pic of characters or people or whatever and be like "these are all white people. why"
all the babies in those baby youtube video memes. humanized character posts. like. its the little innocent shit. and like, the people making those baby memes probably arent seeking out white babies. maybe theyre just easier to find. but why are they easier to find? a complicated question, surely... but you know what it probably comes down to. someone, somewhere, maybe a lot of someones in a lot of places, made a choice. maybe knowingly, maybe not. but they made a choice. it starts to make you feel like a conspiracy theorist!!
its really funny that after 2 months this post is still making racists come into my askbox treating me like im a horrible person for pointing out that sometimes people of color are excluded from things in visible and offputting ways. cry about it
btw it's so fucking stupid you can be anxious physically in your body even after you've decided mentally you don't care. I'm supposed to be in charge here
my brother!
why so silent good messieurs
Iām SEVERELY disappointed this post didnāt include the eye witness statement of the mirror crash incident in question
