the etymology of "piano" is so fucking dumb I love it. yeah this is my cool new harpsichord. it has more volume control than a standard harpsichord so we call it a "loudsoft" for short. or a "softloud" if you prefer. but that's still a bit of a mouthful so I've been thinking of just calling it a soft.

The doors are looking good! Old varnish and paint is gone, they’re sanded smooth, and now I’ll try and match them to the library floor without having to buy new stain (I’ve got a half dozen left from other projects 🤞🏼). Wish me luck!

Stain is mostly done (will need to touch up a few places) and I’ve added “stained glass” to one and will hopefully get the second finished tomorrow so I can wrap up the project by Sunday.

They’re in! I still need to trim them out (I’m thinking copper) to get rid of the gaps, and find some nice hardware, but operation “hide the utility closet” is going swimmingly.
