“Pet peeve time: for the contingent out there who sneer at heroes like Superman and Wonder Woman and Captain America, those icons who still, at their core, represent selfless sacrifice for the greater good, and who justify their contempt by saying, oh, it’s so unrealistic, no one would ever be so noble… grow up. Seriously. Cynicism is not maturity, do not mistake the one for the other. If you truly cannot accept a story where someone does the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, that says far more about who you are than these characters.”

Comic - The Green Lantern #09 (Liam Sharp Cover)
“Starting from The NTT Comics Dick and Kory dated in their early twenties. Seeing a lot of character development from both Dick and Kori as a result of their relationship, Kori learned to act less repulsive and Dick starts to process his emotions instead of hiding them away like bruce insists.
The Tamaranean character Koriand'r aka Starfire created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez in 1980 became one of Dick Grayson’s most important relationships. In an interview with writer Marv Wolfman in October 1982 discussing The New Teen Titans publication, he addresses Dick’s relationship with his mentor, Batman: "One of the comments made in [NTT] issue 25 by Robin is that while the Batman was created by a very emotional event, the Batman today has taught Robin to think with his head and not his heart. Yet, the Batman’s whole reason for being was because of his heart, not his head.” Dick used to be uptight but Kori opened him up and let act a bit more like a normal person. Grayson’s ability to open up more to others about his feelings is partially thanks to Starfire ever since her and Robin joined the Titans. Without her influence you wouldn’t get modern dick grayson attitude.
Starfire, arguably Dick’s first mature love, helped Grayson move from the Robin mantle into his own man and persona of Nightwing during the Titans era, truly learning that to be a leader, you have to use both your heart and mind.“
“It’s as we say in the Indigo Tribe… It’s a hard NOK life.”

I’ve been fighting with one hand behind my back.
What happens when I’m finally set free?
Man, that’s pretty corny… except for the part that says ‘Beware My Power!’ Mmm-hmm… I do dig those words!
