I really want to know what Nebula does after Thor kills Thanos. Her entire reason for being was to kill him. The fact that we don’t see her journey is so frustrating to me.
Like her life’s purpose is gone, the only person she loves is gone, she is apparently in constant pain (see GotG 2) yet she is one of the people who has it together in ENDGAME? What?
I can only assume she works with Rocket to guard the galaxy out of some kind of survivor’s guilt? Trying to do what Gamora would do?

Well, for the 5 years she most probably works with Rocket. They are both going through the same thing and atleast understand each other. They probably help those who need help. Those they help are humans. I wonder if Rocket helps create new devices that can provide unlimited power supply to homes, hospitals etc. Actually, with her Cyborg body Nebula is very helpful in this too. Atleast Nebula isn't alone in her pain and the same goes for Rocket. And as you said, doing what Gamora would do helps Nebula put aside her grief. After the 5 years, and Thanos true death, Nebula has a new purpose. She needs to find Gamora who is very much alive. They need to work on their relationship just like Gamora need to work on her relationship with Quill.
