last night for dinner i made pan seared salmon fillets.

when the fillets were done, i transferred them directly from the pan to a plate.

i did not drop or spill any of the salmon at any point. the salmon was never in direct contact with the stove, the countertop, the table, or any other surface in my kitchen.

today, when i washed my cast-iron pan, there was salmon on its underside.
