Howdy! I’m Sal. As you probably read in my bio, I have weird dreams: the good, the bad, and the ridiculous!

How my blog works:

- Anything crossed out is the Boring Stuff. I write it down anyway to improve my own dream recall, but it’s nothing to waste your time over!

- I tag all of my dreams to the best of my ability so that you can search for a specific theme or topic! (i.e., “funny,” “liminal space,” “dogs”)

- This blog is mostly for my own sake—I’m trying to learn to lucid dream more often, and this helps with that—but if you want to submit your own strange dreams, go for it! I will post and tag accordingly whenever I can.

I recorded myself reviewing amusement part rides while I was on them. They were extremely hard to film because I was just using my phone, but the internet loved me

I was playing My Singing Monsters when, suddenly, there was a portal function that swapped out all of my monsters from their regular islands to a rarer-than-ethereal selection of islands, bringing rarer-then-ethereal monsters through the portal to live on the normal islands in exchange.

Eventually, I discovered that I myself was able to enter this portal, and in doing so, I was sucked into the game.

On the other side of the portal, which I was physically in, now, was a collection of poolrooms. These rooms weren’t empty, though; there was a whole civilization.

There was the Queen of the Lions, who owned an actual lion and kept telling it to shut up because it wouldn’t stop roaring XD

I did parkour on the moon with my college classmates.

Also, there was a city on the moon already, so rather than the ground, we did it on the rooftops!

J.G. Quintel was hosting a Regular-Show-themed concert/performance, and I was one of the performers. I was supposed to sing a song.

Until it was my turn to perform, I was given second-to-frontrow seats, and I got to sit right next to Quintel!

At some point, before Quintel was about to get on stage to greet everyone, he asked me to hand him a small steel briefcase, presumably with some kind of tech equipment inside. I handed it to him, but before I let go of it, I said, “Hey, J?”

Quintel replied, “Uh, yeah?”

I smiled at him. “Thank you.”

He smiled back a little nervously. “You’re welcome, dude.”

And then, soon after, he went on stage and greeted the audience. Everyone in the auditorium screamed and cheered in excitement. Then, he did the “oOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!” thing.

And the entire crowd did the same thing back.

Then everyone had to evacuate because one of the audience members planted a bomb under the seats. I never got to do my act :(

I was exploring a multiverse museum with my old classmates from high school, and we were all looking at interesting relics from other universes (such as a standard diving dress with built-in lasers, a taxidermied giant shrimp with robot arms, etc.). At some point, an old bully of mine began a surprisingly pleasant conversation with me about how cringe I was in high school, and the both of us were able to laugh it off.

Later, my tulpa walked into the gift shop of the museum and hung out with me for a bit. Then a sex worker from outside the door asked us if we were “looking for a good time” (or something like that), and we said no. But my tulpa wanted to be friends with her, so we walked outside and introduced ourselves.

Outside, we—as well as the entire museum itself—were on an extremely tall set of piers and docks, all of which were covered in a thin layer of snow. If you looked down far enough, you’d see a dark ocean surrounding everything.

The sex worker turned out to be a catholic girl in college wearing a beret, and she was just trying to earn money in any way she could to cover her tuition. My tulpa took over my body and tried to give her advice on what else she could do to earn money, since it didn’t seem like she was enjoying her line of work.

While they were walking on the docks, talking, they eventually reached a beautiful scenic view of the ocean, which was still and calm now. It reflected the rich, dark blue of the sky. The sky was filled with stars and a transparent full moon. Far, FAR in the distance was a large hill that swirled in on itself, like that one scene from the Nightmare Before Christmas.

My tulpa was mesmerized by this and suggested that he and his new friend took pictures of it. Unfortunately, when they look at and compared their photos, they realized that the cameras on their phones just couldn’t do it justice.

My dad and I went to California for Disneyland! Except he didn’t actually want to go to Disneyland, he just said I could go by myself if I wanted to.

I didn’t really end up going, though. Instead, I swam in the ocean, stark naked, floating with my eyes underwater, watching the sand rise and fall with the waves. I saw some jellyfish and avoided them while still admiring their beauty. The water was much clearer and lighter than actual Californian beaches, and opening my eyes in saltwater didn’t bother me at all for whatever reason.

When I got back to the hotel, still naked (but no one cared), I made it to my room and remembered that it was my birthday, and that my dad didn’t even care. I was sad, but my tulpa suggested that I invite over a bunch of my friends and have a small party. I did just that, and about 5, 6 people showed up. None of them exist IRL, but I was grateful to have them. Two of them were goth, and the goth girl needed to remind me of who she was because I didn’t remember her. She said that I called her “cutie” at a nightclub once, which I then remembered I actually had done in a different dream a long time ago. There was also a monk there that my dad claimed to be friends with, even though said monk didn’t really like him at all.

We got to dancing a little, playing card games, and eating snacks. Eventually, Pike Trickfoot from Critical Role/The Legend of Vox Machina showed up, and I was very excited! She also brought a couple of her kids, one of which looked like a miniature, child version of Grog Strongjaw. Pike helped me set up more party decorations, and eventually, I got to asking her where Grog was, because I apparently was expecting him to show up. She didn’t answer and instead looked down mournfully. My girlfriend, who suddenly was there, mentioned that maybe Grog left, said he would come back one day, but never did. I left it at that.

I found Polybius! I just walked into a random arcade and there it was.

Sherlock Holmes, his sister, and Watson all went to the same college as me. I became friends with them, but eventually, I discovered that I had feelings for Sherlock.

One day, the three were walking around outside of campus, and Sherlock’s sister was hit by a car. She was alive, but ended up becoming bedridden and extremely frail. Sherlock did everything he could to take care of her, but caregiver fatigue was hitting him hard, and although he and I began dating a couple of weeks after that day, I noticed over time just how much of an asshole Sherlock was, and eventually, I couldn’t stand being with him anymore.

The day we broke up, we were arguing on campus, and I finally snapped and said, “tHIS IS WHY SO MANY WOMEN LEAVE MEN ALONE WITH THE CHECK!” and he was extremely offended by that and walked away.

Luckily, I knew that the event in which his sister gets hit by a car was actually a time-related error; i.e., I would be able to stand outside of time and watch the event rewind and play again, eventually seeing it happen enough times that I began messing around with different people/things in the area on that day. I began repeatedly teasing if Sherlock’s sister being hit by the car in a different way would positively impact his and I’s relationship, maybe causing an outcome in which he and I got to be together happily.

I altered the timeline multiple times—moving objects onto the road to get hit by the car instead of his sister, causing other random strangers on campus to become distracted while walking on the road and making them get hit instead of her, etc. Eventually, I had to come to terms with the distinct possibility that NOTHING would change the outcome, and that maybe Sherlock was just an asshole all along.

So, the next time the event repeated, I decided to instead turn my attention to Watson—after all, Watson was hot, too, and if I recalled correctly, he had more empathy than Sherlock in the first place, which was maybe what could make Watson and I more compatible.

So, I purposefully distracted Sherlock enough to make HIM get hit by the car instead of his sister. My logic was, “Well, if he’s paralyzed and bedridden, I don’t have to see him as much, and he can’t get between me and Watson!”

I was certain this was going to work.

I might be a monster.

My boyfriend was missing a tooth and didn’t even notice until I said something

I was back in high school on a summer camp field trip with a couple of my friends, but once I was off the ship that brought us to the island we were staying at, the island (which kind of also acted as an amusement park ride) began spinning out of control. A couple of people fell off, some had their bones broken, and I think one person died? What I am certain of is that I did not care.

At some point, on the island, I was searching for a very specific Little Critter book, and got reprimanded by a teacher for not remembering how the Dewey Decimal system worked.

I was watching over some kind of hotel…? I think my dad was there, too?

I went to this place that kind of reminded me of OmegaMart but was way bigger and more expansive? I met this chick in one of the fake bathrooms who was mad because I turned the bathtub faucet on to see what would happen, so I tried to smooth things over with her by making conversation, and she seemed cool. Than I ran into my FP, and at first I was like, “oh HELL no” and tried to keep my emotional distance, but the more we talked, the more I began to develop a small crush on him again, and I started to think, “huh…. Maybe he’s not so bad after all….” and then he was gone again

I was Wednesday Addams but just in a regular high school, and things continued to go wrong. Bianca was just a shitty, catty popular girl without the three-dimensional parts to her in the show. I kept trying to be popular, even going as far as changing my wardrobe and body language, and it worked for a little bit except my crush laid on top of me in the football field during (I think?) cheer practice and fucking PEED on me????? In front of everyone???? And I freaked out and tried to recompose myself and shower and stuff, but for some reason, everyone was blaming ME and calling ME disgusting for it? And then after showering, I needed to use the bathroom, and this same fucker stared at me over the bathroom stall door to watch, and there was nothing I could do to get rid of him? And no matter what, he never got in trouble, and MY reputation started to tank? And then someone got shot at baseball practice by another guy and everyone kind of blamed me for that too???? Then I decided to make my escape from school with Tyler and his dad via driving home in one of their cars, and then it was Tyler who could do no wrong because I had a crush on him? What in the bullshit

My family installed a brand new pool, and it looked beautiful :(
