I’ll tell ya why men hate women who are into any kind of stan culture (especially musical artists and some content creators)…

bc it’s a subculture in which mostly women are in power. It’s been known that when A LOT of women like something, it inevitably gets mega popular. And in recent years, we have found this sense of “you owe ME” and “WE pay your bills” kind of thinking.

It’s been coined as “parasocial” relationships (and just to be clear ANYONE can contribute to this) for a stan who becomes too egotistical and thinks of them self as higher than their idol. This phenomenon has caused many people with large audiences/fanbases to kind of do whatever the audience tells them to do. I mean this in the sense of “they won’t shut up I’ll just do/say the thing so they’ll move on” or “I’m not entirely comfy but I’ll do it to appease them”.

And this is the reason men hate when women like things. Women can be in the power position and men quite literally hate to see it. Because they see it happen to them.

Okay, no guys wait what the actual fuck is “no loitering”? The fact people can’t just stand around out in public doing nothing means there was a time period where PEOPLE WOULD LITERALLY STAND OUT IN PUBLIC DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR MINUTES, HOURS, MAYBE EVEN DAYS AT A TIME SO OFTEN THAT A LAW HAD TO BE CREATED

For example: I think back to the time I got really angry at my mom for giving our cat away without telling me. In the moment, I was so upset with her, but when I think about it now I don’t feel that anger anymore. However, when I think back to the time I visited my old cat after my mom gave him away, I still cry when I remember him seeing me, hissing, and swatting at me.
