a/n: this is more of a filler chapter since i havenât posted in so long đ. i hope you all like it!
Today, the Omaticaya were hosting a big feast, since one of Tsuâteyâs hunting students, NaytĂŹn, has gotten a clean kill on her first hunt. The people had given you better accessories that Moâat picked it herself.
The young girls were doing your hair, since they seemed to love you so much.
âYou are very pretty.â She says while weaving the colorful feathers into your braids. Even as a grown woman, you still get a little shy when people call you pretty. Your lips curl into a small smile.
âThank you. You are also beautiful.â She giggled, her fingers moving to your top. NaytĂŹn was the one fixing your top, she scowled and swatted Aysa'riâs hand away.Â
âMove!â She snapped. Aysaâri seemed to take offense to that. Her ears folded back and her tail lashed behind her and slapped her back. NaytĂŹn was about to hit her, but Aysaâri bit her. âOw!â
âBecause you always touch stuff!â
âSo? Stop hitting me!â
You started to get a little concerned, eyeing the other girls, who were very entertained by their bickering. The more they argued, the louder they got. âGirls, itâs fineâŠâ
âNo, she hit me!â The younger girl whined, raising her arm to hit her older sister, you gently grab her arm.
âHey, thatâs your sister. Youâre supposed to love each other, not fight.â You said with a little more command in your tone, you feel Aysaâriâs pressure loosen under your touch and you let go. You look over at NaytĂŹn. âApologize.âÂ
You can see it in her eyes; she was stubborn. This little interaction reminded you of how Jake and Tommy used to be. Always fighting over petty things. Always rough housing. To these two girls, this situation was serious, you could not help but chuckle a little bit. âNaytĂŹn, please, apologize.â
She puffed up her cheeks and shook her head. You decided to give her the same attitude. âWell, I guess weâre just going to sit here and miss the feast.â You sighed dramatically, folding your arms over your chest.
âWait! Fine. Aysaâri, I am sorry I hit you.â She grumbled.
Aysaâri gave a mischievous smirk. âWellâŠâ She put a finger on her bottom lip, thinking about it. âOkay, I forgive you!â
The 2 girls hugged it out. You smile at the cute moment, âWell, we have to get ready for the feast, hm?â
The children squealed in excitement, running off to the main circle and you followed along to meet with Jake.
âčâËâ§ïž”âżâàšá°à§ââżïž”â§Ëââč
âI canât believe they made us change into these things.â Jake says, going to dig in his butt to get the piece of cloth from... That part. You cringe at that, swatting his hand away from his butt.
âStop doing that.â Your voice was full of disgust and playfulness. Jake looked at himself then at you.
âHow come you look better than me?â
âYou know what I mean.â He gestured at you, then at himself, âWhy do you always look better than me?â
You shrug, âI suppose they just see more in me than they do you.â You flexed jewelry they had given you. You see Jake give a playful scowl. The two of you laugh together.
Tsuâtey and Neytiri stood together, watching the 2 dream walkers from afar. âThey are very loudâŠâ He muttered, judging them both. Neytiri just nodded, her eyes focused on Jake. Tsuâtey noticed at once but decided to not mention it... for now.
You were playing with your braids, enjoying the satisfaction you got from the beads clinking together. Feeling how soft the feathers were. Though, this âclothingâ made you feel exposed... Well, they werenât really clothing. Just accessories that the Naâvi take pride in. But, youâve never worn something like this. Ever. It feels weird, but comfortable at the same time. Your fingers moved from your hair to your top, feeling the fiber tightly braided together, feathers covering your breast, its vibrant colors mixing perfectly with your blue skin. Whoever made this, was an exceptionally good weaver. Something cold and firm touched your shoulder, you jumped and yelped when you feel a hand on your shoulder, you turn around quickly to see who it was. It was Tsuâtey, mean mugging you like always.
âUh⊠yes?â You raise an uncertain eyebrow.
He cleared his throat; âYou will be sitting next to me during the feast.â Before you could respond, he turned his heel and walked away.
The sound of multiple conversation, music and laughter filled your ears as you and Tsuâtey enter the heart of Hometreeâ well, you two werenât really walking together. He was ahead, like always⊠as youâre walking, you accidentally step on a manâs tail, he turned around and hissed at you. Your cheeks heat up from embarrassment, saying your apologies and continue making your way. You look up, seeing Tsuâtey take a seat right next to the Oloâeyktan and the TsahĂŹk. You greeted them both formally and sat down next to Tsuâtey, you shift awkwardly. Tsuâtey gives you a side eye and ate his teylu.
âHow did you do it yesterday?â The switch to english surprised you. You blinked, trying to process the sudden switch.
âDo what?â You avoided eye contact, looking at the beautiful traditional dancing. You can feel his eyes drilling into your skull.
âThe Palulukan.â Oh. That.
âI donât know⊠I just did it.â Before he could say something, one girl came up to you two, taking the attention of you two, taking both of you guysâ attention.
âCome dance!â She pulled you and Tsuâtey up. You gladly took the offer to dance. Tsuâtey let out a small grumble and stood up himself. The girl smiled and pulled you two into the middle of an active dance circle. Leaving you two no chance but to start dancing together. The girl grinned and skipped away with a mischievous little smirk her face, going over to her group friends who were giggling and pointing.
Your steps were sloppy, slow paced, unlike Tsuâtey, for someone as cold stoned and grumpy as him, he was a very skilled dancer.
âWow! Youâre good at this.â A prideful smirk decorated his face. âI know.â
The night was long, young, and beautiful. You and Tsuâtey were drunk, sitting at the edge of a thick branch. You stared up in the night sky. Seeing the true beauty of Pandora at night time.
There was surprisingly a comfortable silence between you two, until Tsuâtey spoke.
âI⊠used to go to the human school.â He slurred. That made you turn and face him, you raised an eyebrow.
âGraceâs school?â You tilt your head. He nodded, stretching his arms.
âYes...â His ears pinned against his head, the blurry memory of Sylwanin being shot coming up in his mind once again.
âI hated it.â He said right after, voice full of venom. You listened to what he had to say.
âThat is all sky people do. Is kill and steal without mercy.â He glanced at you, trying to find something else to say. You tilt your head even more, showing him you were listening and not judging.
As he continued, your heart broke at every single word. You know what the RDA was bad, but hearing it from a victim had made you see just how much damage theyâve caused to the innocent. The amount of bloodshed. It was horrible.
âTsuâteyâŠâ You say softly, touching his hand. âI am so sorry.â
He made full eye contact with you, ears still pinned against his head. âYou should be. Your people bring nothing but destruction and chaos.â He stood, now looking down at you.
âWe train tomorrow.â He walked away.
Now, youâre alone. Thinking about the things heâs said to you. The stories of the RDA killing in front of him. It was horrible.
You let out a tired sigh, deciding itâs time to unlink. You walk back into the circle of hometree, taking a seat next to Jake, who was tearing down his 2nd bowl of teylu.
You cringe slightly, the sight of him stuffing his face was larva made your skin crawl.
âJake. Iâm gonna go unlink. Iâm getting tired.â You yawn, tiredly looking at your brother greedily eat the teylu.
âAlright, see you there.â He replied with a nod.

The smell of sweat, and the feeling of exhaustion and dehydration washed over you. You look up to see that almost everyone was already sleeping. Maybe you should do the same.
But first? You need to do a video log.
You stumbled as you try to get up, your body so weak from the lack of nutrition. You havenât really been eating since you joined the Omatikaya.
Walking over to the chair was pure misery. You lazily turn on the camera.
âTime, 19:56. Location⊠Uh, shack? Anyway. Training is becoming easier everyday. I find it crazy that a 12 year old child got a clean kill before me.â you chuckle at the thought.
âTonightâs celebration was amazing. Cultural traditions, foods, dancing, music⊠It was one of the best nights of my lifeâŠâ
âI hate working for this company. But iâve come so far, I canât go back. Maybe being with the Omatikaya is the first step to stopping the RDA from committing so much genocide. How are humans going to live here if we canât breathe the air and eat the food? It makes no sense⊠Logging out.â You let out a small frustrated sigh and turn off the camera.
You look out the door, to see the meeting room light still on and 2 silhouettes. You scowl, searching the drawer for the dart you found in the forest.
You walk into the meeting room, the smell of coffee, the sound of fingers dancing on the keys of the keyboard. You see Slefridge and Quaritch are having a discussion.
âExcuse me,â You step up to the two men and you slide past Quaritch to the shorter man.
âWhat the hell is this?â You shove the dart into his tracker dart into his chest. He was shoved back a little then snatched the dart and rolled his eyes like a child.
âWell, we need more weapons and weâre running low. Iâm only doing whatâs best for the people.â He shrugged, and it took you and all your power not to beat this guy to a plump. You shut your eyes, rubbing your temples letting out a sigh.
âListen, Selfridge, I know this is for âthe peopleâ, but this? This is hurting the environment, you are killing animals- and soon, the ecosystems will collapse.â
You were rudely cut off when he put his palm to your face and rolled his eyes; âlisten, Dr. Sully, I donât need a zoo-whatever the fuck you call it, telling me how I should run my own program. Got it?â
That was the last straw. You shoved his hand out of your face and shoved him.
âExcuse me? Your program? Your company?â he just laughed in your face like you were a joke.
âLeave the animals alone! You donât need weapons, you need to gain trust with the Naâvi if you want to live here with them.â You tried to reason with him, but Selfridge being Selfridge, only rolled his eyes, he turned his head to Quaritch.
âMind getting her out of here? We all have important business to talk about.â He retorted.
âI can leave myself. You donât need your dog to escort me out.â When you said that, you can hear Quaritch let out a little growl, instead of blowing off, you turned your heel and left.
Youâll just have to do the work yourself.
