In Korea you are literally REQUIRED to have a headshot with your application. Your physical appearance is a major vetting point in the interview. Applicants have literally been told to bleach their skin for jobs. Seoul is the plastic surgery capital of the world.

Since Tumblr mobile is a little bitch and won’t let people navigate to custom pages, I’ve decided to convert my Ragnarok Sucks compendium to a masterpost version for mobile access. So here we go.
Thor: Ragnarok was an objectively insulting and out-of-character portrayal of Loki Odinson. It wasn’t ‘another side’ of Loki, as some have said; it was a caricature, done in bad faith. Through this collection of meta-analyses thoughtfully parsed from a number of Loki stans on Tumblr, I will attempt to illustrate how and why Thor: Ragnarok was a slap in the face to Tom Hiddleston, Loki’s longtime fans, and basically every writer and director who worked so hard to create the three-dimensional, complex antihero we came to know and love over the past decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
One part of demonstrating this betrayal by Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, and Marvel Studios will be to explicitly detail who Loki had shown himself to be from his introduction in Thor (2011) through to The Avengers (2012) and finally Thor: The Dark World. We will also be directly contrasting this Loki with the Loki of Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok, so as to illustrate that these are not different facets of one individual person, but rather Waititi’s “Loki” is often in direct conflict with the Loki that Tom Hiddleston and Kenneth Branagh built from the ground up.
Additionally, we will be looking at direct quotes from Tom Hiddleston, Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth and President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, on the precise nature of where Loki has come from and how his experiences have shaped who he has become.

Avengers ships and how they fared in Endgame
So it is finally time to update my Infinity War ships post. Clearly, this post is going to contain many spoilers for Endgame, so if you haven’t seen it yet (why haven’t you seen it?) go and see it and come back later.
1. Stucky
In Endgame, Steve Rogers gives everything he has to try to somehow turn back time and bring his one true love / platonic best friend Bucky back to life. Other people too but, let’s face it, mainly Bucky. Somehow, by a miracle, he succeeds, and what does he do? Basically gives Bucky a quick nod and then fucks off back into the past to spend his life with Peggy. 1/10
2. Stony
After years of bitter separation, Tony and Steve finally reunite in Endgame, and though Tony is a bit of a jerk at first, eventually they become brothers in arms once more. The superhusbands are, admittedly, focused more on the job in hand than each other, one ends up dead and one ends up old, but Tony does at one point makes a reference to Steve’s ass. It’s better than nothing. 4/10
3. Clintasha
Boy is Hawkeye back in Endgame, terrible haircut and all, and the Clintasha fanclub who have hung in there all these years get their reward with a lot of scenes showing the deep affection and understanding these two have for each other, ending in a heartbreaking moment where they both try to sacrifice themselves for each other. It’s not a happy ending, but it is a great one. 8/10
4. Pepperony
I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone here but Iron Man dies in Endgame. So it’s not a happy ending, exactly, for the couple that have made it through so much together, but at least they did get to get married, have a few happy years, have an awesome daughter, fight Thanos back-to-back and be with each other at the end. 9/10
5. Thorki
Loki died in the last film, and despite all our best hopes / wild fan theories, it seems he isn’t coming back. At least not in this timeline…….We did get a few moments with him in all the time-travelling fun, but depressingly few, to be honest, and none where him and Thor were even half getting along. 1/10
6. Brutasha
It’s like Marvel are embarrassed about what they tried to do in Age of Ultron, isn’t it? Bruce and Nat spend large parts of Endgame together, and we get, essentially, nothing. OK, so Bruce is clearly upset at her death, and he tries and fails to get her back, but it’s a little bloody late by then. And don’t go telling me that they didn’t think a romance would work with the new permanently Hulked Bruce - Professor Hulk is hot and you all know it. 4/10
7. T’Chakia
T’Challa’s back! But Nakia is, bewilderingly, still nowhere to be seen. Not even mentioned, again. Have they had an acrimonious off-screen breakup or something? Here’s hoping they get this ship back on the road for Black Panther 2. 0/10
8. Starmora
I am not completely sure that I understand yet where we are with Gamora’s current existence (has she gone back to the past? Run off to space? Died of confusion?) but original fell-in-love-with-Quill Gamora is still definitely dead, so this ship is pretty much back to square one. The nearly-kiss was funny though, and there may still be hope, which is more than you can say for almost all the ships on this list. 5/10
9. Scarletvision
No Vision for us in Endgame, not even in flashback. If Steve hadn’t managed to replace the stones in his jaunt back in time Vision would never even have been created, but I’m assuming he did. Wanda still clearly mourns him, but it appears that there’s no coming back for Vision. 1/10
10. Ironstrange
Well, the Sorcerer Supreme does make it back to the future, his baffling actions in Infinity War are pretty much vindicated, and he gets to share a few smart lines and meaningful looks with his one-who-got-away before Iron Man, definitively, gets away. We are all left to dream of what could have been. 3/10
11. Thruce
I didn’t include this one last time, and I should have, because Thor and Bruce are my two favourite characters and they would make a hell of a power-couple. It is Bruce who brings Thor back to the fight, the two of them do (amazingly) make it out of Endgame alive, and they have a few emotional moments, but there is not really enough Thruce action in Endgame, if I am going to be hypercritical. Which I am. 4/10

It is international language week at my school. This morning a girl who is fluent recited the Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic. Everyone freaked out. Some people loved it, but more hated it. Saying that the pledge should only be spoken in English because “this is America not the Middle East” and now our principal just announced that we are no longer allowed to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in anything besides English at our high school. In the hallway I passed the girl who spoke the pledge. She was sobbing. This is to anyone who says that America is a post-racism world. Reblog the shit out of this. Get this known
