Valkyrie Crusade

Valkyrie Crusade, from the publisher Nubee, is a card game, redefined. This game is an easy to play, difficult to master collectible card game that features fairly attractive maidens that you collect through battles and raise in order to increase your battle effectiveness. This is a free to play game for android and IOS that features a friends list, guilds, events and more.

There are hundreds of cards to collect. You can even set your avatar to that of one of the cards you collect so you can show off your rarest find. Each player has their own kingdom to control and build upon to increase battle resources.

The game appears difficult to learn but for the advent game enthusiast, it is easy to pick up on. There is also a well-established community online that is quite helpful with basic and advanced questions. The controls appear to operate well and the game is updated regularly. This game can provide hours of fun for any time of game player whether you’re the type to take games serious or just want to kill some time, but if you’re not careful you just might kill more time than you think.

The Glass Is Broken

Does anyone appreciate simplicity? I was amazed one day when I stumbled upon a shared image of a resume from the 1950’s which was shared by J.G. Wentworth on one of their social platforms. The man had only his name, date of birth, his height and weight, his address, his telephone number, his military discharge status, his college degree title and a list of his hobbies. This was a valid and legitimate resume. This resume had a lot to say. It showed that he was capable of working, his field of study, and his hobbies showed that he stayed active. Why would you not give a man a chance to work for fair pay? Where is the simplicity of a resume like this? You can’t tell me that an employer doesn’t have time to sift through a few dozen of these? These days it’s a burden looking for a job and even if you find one there is a low chance of getting a call back from an employer if he or she does not like your resume. I do not understand what is going on in the world; it seems as if people depreciate simplicity. A simple thing like education is difficult to come by and society has made education a necessity and the only intellect you actually are required to have is that of the law. Education these days isn’t affordable by any means. Right from the start, if one wished to enroll into college the academic counselors will discuss payment options and how to apply for a student loan. It seems like these days equivalent exchange is nonexistent. It is a lot more affordable and practical to devise an armed robbery plan than it is to make an honest living.

These days it seems people go well out of their way to put people down. Those who openly practice religion know that it is their duty to spread the word of their teaching. Those who are not religious, I don’t see them having this same principle, but they choose to demean those that do practice a religious belief and reticule them with visually insulting images such as anti-religions joke photos. I find it hard to respect people who purposely wish to stir up emotions, but in hopes of keeping the peace and siding with positivity I choose to ignore things like this. There are also cases in which the opposite does happen too in cases dealing with religious extremists. I do not have a problem with anyone’s beliefs. In the end we will all know the truth; all I can do is stick to what I believe. Death holds the true secrets of life and some day we will all know the truth. The big picture is that people go well out of their ways to get their opinion out in the open. Some people purposely intend to harm others.

  It seem like people thrive on hurting others. This isn’t something that is just a phase children go through, this carries on well into adulthood. I do not believe that people are born bad, but are bred that way. The influences of the world and the lack of influence turn people into the way they are. The wrong kinds of things are glorified. It appalls me that social media is being manipulated. People use the misfortunes of others for their own success. Feeding on people’s emotions is one way to inspire people and that inspiration can go a long way and either a positive or negative direction.

  The world is just a vile, awful place that is slowly running out of safe havens and sanctuaries. People need to be more responsible. Parents need to be more responsible for their children. Children need to learn at an early age about respecting others and should be given more responsibility at a younger age. The abilities of a child are limitless. They are able to learn so much if you allow them to. People want to be treated as equal but create separate identity groups for boys and girls. Men and women, boys and girls should learn about working together and how both are important to the future of the world. We as a whole need to breed our children to be strong, responsible, helpful people of society. Too many times I witness young mothers and fathers that spend too much time worrying about them instead of their children. This is not a situation in which the thought of it means something. More than anything I grit at parents that are put on a public front about ensuring their child has a better life. Aiming for” better” is unsatisfactory. On a test this might actually mean something, but in life it does not. 60.01% is better than 60.00% but why would anyone settle for “better” when you are capable of doing so much more?

People who read this may agree with some of what was mentioned or maybe even nothing at all. That is fine. I just want at least one person to read this this and hopefully that will inspire them to make a difference, make a change, a movement toward positivity and success.

Unbridled Progress

When you look at people’s success stories, look at that as what not to do because that way was already done. There is nothing wrong with being different, Weather you have a handicap or an edge. Always try to be versatile. If something in your life is bugging you do what you can to make the situation better. Nothing happens overnight except progress. It may not have an outstanding result, but if you are making an effort and focused in a positive direction you are making progress and that will soon come to show, just hang in there. Never quit.

Be different! Why not? If everyone is doing things the same way then where will the creativity come from? Mimicking someone’s work routine is one thing, but mimicking their complete style is another. Try to things your own way if there is room to do that. If you feel comfortable doing things the same way as someone else then go for it. Just know what works for you.

If you have a disability, turn that into a positive. Don’t let is slow you down or hinder you from anything. Look at is a challenge and overcome it. There were people before you that have shared the same disability and were able to make something of themselves. There are people today, right now making something of themselves, despite having a “disability” both known and unknown.  If you have any doubts in this look them up. You will be amazed at what human are capable of. Don’t doubt the capabilities of the human body.

Progress is all about keeping a steady flow. You shouldn't tire yourself out beyond exhaustion, but you don’t want to take too much time away from what you are striving for. Progress is like a train. It may have a slow start but once it picks up the pace then it really get into motion. Once that train stops it will take a while for it to pick its speed back up. Keep Going!

Always find ways to better yourself. When you really start to think of it, there are many ways you can do this. You can exercise, read a book, learn something new, help someone , create something, improve on something somewhere. Be different when you can, it makes thing more interesting and will inspire others. Never let anything get in your way. Go where the positivity is. Keep going! No matter what, if you stumble or even fall off completely, pick yourself back up and keep going!

What is important to you?

Why is it some of the things we feel important in that particular moment in time don’t always seem that way in others? If it is something important, for the most part, we tend to want to remember, take care of, or just embrace that idea with a strong sense of significance. Like all things this feeling can fade. Some bonds are rock solid such as the bond with long lasting friends, parents and children, brother and sister, and other bonds of kin.  These hold strength and longevity. Other things in life can change or become extinct in a matter of moments. This can be a good thing and a bad thing all in one. Life’s path is being paved as you walk so either direction can be the right direction or it can lead to a series of mazes. Life is unpredictable.

When we stop to think about the important things in our lives and we begin to categorize and prioritize each piece, we all come to the roads of proximity and emotion. Things that are right in front of us tent to take precedence over things that are not within our focal point. An example of this can come from an event I witnessed in which a woman walked completely out of a grocery store without all of her groceries. One might think that this woman was a complete fool, while someone else with a bit of compassion may choose to believe the woman just may have had a lot on her mind whether what was on her mind actually was of any importance, or even just more important than the value of the groceries, you can still begin to see how thought patterns can be easily interrupted.

For the moments in which we are aware of what is important to us, what makes us just simply lose interest? Sometimes our wants in life change, we alter our ambitions to suit what we are currently feeling. This includes, but is not limited to; goals, relationships, and daily choices. One moment you may be in love with a particular idea or person, and the next the feeling can fade. Before you even begin to approach this feeling you should stop, look into yourself and see what you really want. Know and understand that there are consequences to everything you do or don’t do and if it just so happens that you are not satisfied with the decisions you have made, either correct them or move on. A lot of times what has been done cannot be reversed. It is good to keep that in mind.

For the most part it is good to keep sight of what is important and prioritize everything and if you lose sight of what is most important just stop and reanalyze your situation. The last thing you should do is worry about things that you can easily correct or can’t change in the first place. All other things may require work, but when has anything that you ever really wanted come easy? When has anything that you ever thought was important been easy to manage?

Underrated Good Feelings

There are tons of ways to put a smile on your face or just make you feel good. Some are obvious and some are just overlooked. Let’s take a look at a few that may not get the credit they deserve.

·         1. Running our hands under cold water on a warm day/warm water on a cold day

It’s just a good sensation. You can control the temperature of your hands. If you are ever in a situation in which you don’t know what to do with your hands, put them under some water and then see how you feel.

·         2. Leveling up

No matter the game or situation, it feels pretty good to take it to the next level.

·         3. A good movie with a bowl of cereal

There’s nothing like fine dining, to enhance the mood turn a good movie on.

·        4.  When someone understand an off the wall reference you’ve made

The situation is a lot better when others are on the same page as you.

·         5.Consecutive songs you like on the radio

Good music. Who doesn’t enjoy good music? Now multiply that by several folds and you have yourself the recipe for a good vibe.

·         6.Having more money than you thought you had

It’s almost like an unexpected gift.

·         7.Thinking of a "good idea"

The results may turn out different than what was planned, but it’s the thought that counts, certainly.

·         8. Dropping your phone and it still is in normal working condition.

Phones are expensive… Hopefully it survives a few falls. Those moments in free-fall are almost unbearable, but after the impact and you are able to see that there is no damage done, one word, Victorious.  

·         9. Fumbling something and catching it before it hits the ground

If it happens in public you have a pretty good chance of getting a standing ovation.

·         10. Waking up in the middle of the night prior to a work day and still having several hours before it is time to get ready for work.

More time to sleep. Sleep is good. Turning over and looking at that clock only to realize you have more time to sleep is a pretty good feeling, unless there is some variable in your life that would oppose this. 

These are just a few things that we seldom take notice of but quietly appreciate. Next time one of these things happens to you hopefully you appreciate the moment a little more.

Shoes for a Lifetime (W.P.C PF Style)

Well over the years plenty of styles of come and gone, some have even made triumphant returns do to celebs endorsing big name brands. I think I've rocked just about every style of shoe Air Force Ones, Tims, Toms, Jordan's, Chucks, AirMax, Kswiss, and even some Doc Martins.

It amazes me to see that most shoe styles worn nowadays are some of the most classic style of shoes that can be worn with almost anything. I over heard a conversation while I at McDonalds today. A Mother said to her son "Dont step on Mommy's new shoes She's gonna need these for the rest of here life" Of course she was joking, but it made me think if there was one type of shoe that I would have to wear for the rest of my life what would it be. 

Over the last year or so I have fallen in love with PF Flyers(the sandlot version). If I did have to choose a pair of shoes it would be the all black leather Sandlot Version of the PF Flyers. I always wanted a pair of the shoes ever since I was little. Watching the Sandlot really stuck with me and I finally got a pair. I must say BEST SHOES EVER!!!! LMFAO they really do make you run faster and jump higher.

The Not-So Hidden Truth

Would you rather witness real magic that may not be impressive or a fantastic illusion? Humans are naturally unsatisfied, no matter the quantity of our riches or pleasures, we will never be satisfied, so as futile as the pursuit of happiness is, the very pursuit is probably the most thrilling and enjoyable moment in life. The idea that things may go exactly how we plan and the actual reality of the situation clash and collide and what is left is the tangible experience. Everyone lives their own life. The only thing that is due to us is death. Anyone who doesn’t believe in magic is a fool. It is happening right before our eyes, hidden in plain sight. You are alive, and now is the time to live. Use your un-satisfaction to seek satisfaction. Pursuit everything like it is your last day. Believing  there will always be a tomorrow or another chance and more time for this or more time for that is the most fantastic illusion in the world.

New Console, New Computer

What is it that you look for in a gaming system? Games? (Duh!)  Performance? (Of course) Let’s explore some of the pros and cons.

Well there is a lot to think about, but consider this. Computers are computers, consoles are consoles. Both play games, both have aps, but computers are able to do so much more. Consoles are respectable, and the aps on the make a huge convince, especially being able to navigate through the menus with a handheld controller. Who doesn’t like to lie in bed, on a couch or even upside down while playing a game or watching a program on their console? This is one aspect in which the console excels. Consoles don’t cost as much as a decent gaming computer that can handle the equivalent gaming of today. The consoles boot up and shut down quickly as to where a computer will take several minutes to boot up and safely shut down. Consoles these days also have a lot of add-on material such as the Xbox 360 ‘Kinect’, the PS3 ‘Move,’ and the Nintendo Wii Motion Control. Online functionality also gives users the ability to chat with friends every day for the price of a network subscription if required and a chat device. Consoles are affordable, convenient, and fun.

There are a lot of benefits to a computer though. The affordability is not the same as a console of equivalent gaming playing performance, but performance in general, the computer can compete if not surpass the performance of a console. Computers are obviously useful for many things. There are also websites that allow users to play free games, such as Facebook. Finding free games on consoles is very unlikely. Digital copies of games are a benefit too; although you can get digital copies of games for consoles, some providers such as ‘Steam’ frequently have games for reduced prices in comparison to the retail price of a physical game. Computers can be upgraded for the most part to be able to hold more memory, process data faster, or increase performance. Computers can do just about everything a console can do, but take a big hit to the convenience aspect.

There Is a lot of things to consider before buying a computer for gaming or a console; the cost, the usage, and the gaming content. Take a look around the net to see if purchasing a console or a gaming computer is right for you. There are several places such as Ibuypower.com and cyberpowerpc.com that make custom ordered computers. If you are looking for something inexpensive check out a console, even the PS Vita is a surprisingly powerful handled. Tablets are also becoming more and more like console games and most games from the service provided market place of each respected tablet has trial versions of games, as do most console games and computer games. There is a lot to think about so explore your options and get something that will make you happy and hopefully you catch a good deal on it.

Things That Keep You Up At Night

There will always come a time where you just can’t get any sleep. Maybe you are worried about money, a project that needs to be done, something that you just can’t get off of your mind and it is bugging you so much you can’t sleep. It would be cliché to say you are not alone.

Don’t always look at it as a bad thing. If you are thinking then you are thinking of a way to put yourself into a better position. This, at times is worth losing sleep over, but for all those other times it just plain sucks. A large portion of your life is spent sleeping. If something is causing you to lose sleep pursuit it or find a way to cope with it. Life has its ups and downs. Sometimes you have to let go of things, make changes, or just allow things to be the way they are. You might have to accept that some things are the way they are and there isn’t much you can do about it, but with that being said you don’t always have to settle, just choose your battles wisely.

The nights when you are up thinking about something negative in your life, try to think of something positive. Try thinking about something that made you laugh, or something that captivated you. What about a movie you saw that had an amazing plot and storyline? Whatever the case don’t dwell on the negative, it just makes it that much harder to move in a positive direction.

How about for those times when you are just too excited about something to sleep? Well this can be a good time to put that restlessness to some good use and progress in something (Facebook is not progression.)

No matter the situation, it will always help to keep a good attitude about the matter. You are what you make of thing. How you think will become what you are.

Valentine's Day; For The Relationship

It has almost become a social norm to expect something from a significant other on Valentine’s Day, but is it really necessary? When you really start to think about it Valentine’s Day is just another day. If it benefits anyone it would be businesses that take advantage of the theme. There is nothing wrong with playing along with the festivities of Valentine’s Day, just be mindful that there is still the rest of the year to show and continue showing your significant other that they are important to you.

So, what good can come from Valentine’s Day? Plenty. It is a perfect opportunity to plan something special, not to mention the sales that are going on, gift searching will be a bit easier. For those with a lot of creativity the world is at your disposal. Are you in competition with someone? Who better to be in competition with than yourself? See if you can out due last year. The only thing that should be important is your significant other… and your wallet. Be sure to look online ahead of time to see if there are any great specials going on so you have some type of idea of what you want to do beforehand.

Valentine’s Day can be a good day; it all depends on what you make of it. In reality it is just another day. Don’t let it consume you. There are plenty of other days to display affection, so don’t think of those day as being a lesser caliber than a day such as Valentine’s Day. Everyday should be Valentine’s Day.

Five Games of 2012 Worth The 60 bucks

Have you ever purchased a game for retail price, played it for a bit and thought “Well, that wasn’t worth it?” Well don’t worry, you are not alone. Looking for something with some replay value? Here are five titles that might interest you.  

Borderlands 2: There is just so much loot and weapons. Who wouldn’t to be the sickest vault hunter in the land? Keep on raiding! Each character is unique and the more you progress in the game the better chance you have to get better gear and weapons. There are also perks to come with playing Borderlands 2, Golden Keys! These keys open up a special weapon chest that has really awesome loot in it. Shift Codes, which are given out every so often from the official Borderlands 2 Facebook page give access to golden keys. This game offers a lot of replay value.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2: Big guns, big explosions. Any questions? Anyone who is anyone has play at least one Call of Duty title knows about the thrill of  kill-streaks and jaw dropping kill-cams. Playing Call of Duty is almost a necessity for a true FPS fan. Although there is always a decent campaign to every Call of Duty, multiplayer is the money maker. Tons of guns to shred your opponent to pieces with, tactical gear, elite battlegrounds, team and solo game types.  If you are like Robert Downey Jr., and looking to get into a bit of agricultural work for lead, this is the game to set up shop. Hours upon hours of mayhem and DLC to look forward to.

Mass Effect 3: Some people have mixed feeling about the campaign, but admit it; it’s pretty fun to play through. Besides campaign there is still multiplayer. It is in the form of a hoard mode variant. Several classes to play and even more sub classes to play. Make custom character builds and battle alongside your friends or random people with weapons you unlock from credits you earn. There are also challenges that arrive for the weekend for an opportunity to unlock ultra-rare weapons. There have been several free multiplayer add-ons to expand variety in maps and enemies to battle.  A really good game to play if hoard mode if your kind of thing.

Resident Evil 6: Three campaigns to play. Average time for each chapter is about an hour initially, maybe more or less depending on your experience and play style. It’s fun to co-op! There are a few sections in the game where four plays are allowed, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up on that feature. It is just an exciting game to run through. Good weapons to choose from. Thrilling chapters and still fun to play through several times, additional game types and DLC add even more value.

Halo 4: Hate it or love it, Halo 4 has replay written all over it. There is no doubt that the campaign delivered, but let’s stay focused on what we all want, the multiplayer. Science fiction has never been so delightful. The Halo titles have been delivering for over a decade and the combat just won’t cease. Fun weapons to use, strategies to invent, game types to play and as usual DLC to come. This may not be the game for everybody, it has an acquired taste, but for someone that likes multiplayer games with grenade lobbing, magazine dumping, face beating action, this might be your ecstasy. For those who really do care more about the campaign than the multiplayer probably will not be disappointed. Halo offers excitement and fun for both single player and multiplayer.

Suit Up For Dead Space 3 Demo

The wait is almost over. Electronic Art’s “Dead Space 3” demo (Available 22 January for those who didn’t get the chance to obtain an early unlock offer) is sure to spice up the gaming world and bring veteran Necromorph slayers back or introduce rookies to the hellish trials of Isaac Clarke, a systems engineer who survived an invasion onboard the USG Ishimura (Details can be sought from playing the previous Dead Space titles and watching the Dead Space animated films Dead Space: Downfall and Dead Space: Aftermath.)  Those who have played “Dead Space 2” or “Dead Space” might find an easy transition. Everything appears to be the same in terms of controller function and fluidity. There are quite a few new features in the game such as weapons and customization and finally you can team up with a buddy and fight through droves of terrifying monsters.

My first impression of the demo was similar to my first experiences with the prequels; edge of my seat, Plasma Cutter locked and loaded and ready to shoot anything that even made the slightest twitch. This demo gives a good opportunity to get yourself ready for the February release of the game and give yourself some great target practice.

Videogames, A Negative Reflection On Society?

Violence has been around since the dawn of time.  War, murder, abuse, genocide; just a few acts of violence that have been around well before the upcoming of videogames. The controversy that comes with videogames, primarily shooting and fighting titles such as” Mortal Kombat”, “Street Fighter”, “Call of Duty”, and “Grand Theft Auto” increase one’s inner capabilities and desires to take what is performed in a videogame into real life. Videogames do alter the state of mind, but the question is it for better or for worse? Everyone has the capability of becoming violent and committing acts of violence. Videogames give people the ability to escape from the boundaries of reality and take on a persona of a protagonist, and antagonist, a sports star or whatever the game allows.  This can also be a form of stress release and quite possibly in the near future a form of medicine, right next to laughter.

I don’t know anyone that has ever seen a martial arts movie and has not thought about martial arts after the film has ended, so it is understandable to argue that people who play fighting and shooting games probably think about shooting and fighting, but does that make someone want to do that? If everything worked that way then by watching a lot of math videos I would build up the urge to do math. I don’t like to doubt what is impossible and what is, but this is just highly unlikely. It takes a lot to want to take someone’s life or to actually beat someone up, or just cause bodily harm to someone. In a videogame this is much more bearable and obtainable, and in many cases enjoyable and humorous. Videogames give people the chance to pursuit their humanly cognitive behavior and desires in as a safe alternative. Although this could inspire the idea of how it would feel to imitate something from a videogame, these behaviors can be executed, and have been executed well before the rise of graphic content on videogames. A lot of videogame content is relatable to actual life scenarios and events that have been modernized or science fictionalized or portrayed in a manner that will make sales and add playable value.

Society has mixed feelings about everything these days. Parents have the ability to refute exposure to their children for the early stages of their lives, but it will soon come to an end around adolescence to adulthood. Though videogames can expand the imagination and indirectly promote violence, it doesn’t change the fact that people have free will, and it definitely doesn’t change the fact that violence is nothing new. Violence should not be condoned, but at the same time videogames should not be blamed. Videogames can’t be direct sole cause of today’s violence. An angry accountant that doesn’t play videogames can be just as dangerous as a social worker that does play videogames (no offence to either party.)
