Seriously all I thought about during this scene.
Fairly certain that Edolas went on to create Gunmen and other wicked machinery and that Yoko is Erza Knightwalker’s like great great granddaughter or something.
did i ever tell ppl about the time me and my family thought my older brother was gay and dating his best friend? they used to hold hands and cuddle and shit all the time and cause my brothers super quiet we kinda just thought that was him coming out and didn’t really say anything about it. this went on for maybe two yrs and then one day he arrives home with this girl and is all ‘id like you guys to meet my girlfriend’. at this point everyone is ’????’ and my mom is literally crying and like ‘u broke up with James?!?!?!’ and honestly I’ve never seen a man more confused in his life and yeah that’s the time my family fucked up for like 2 yrs
“Can I please just go to my lessons and get an education”
All he EVER wanted was just to go to school.
Harry: I hope this year will be quiet and uneventful and no one I know is going to be mind controlled kidnapped or murdered
Voldemort: HELLO NAUGHTY CHILDREN IT’S AVADA KEDAVRA TIME

Buffy the Trump Slayer
In Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the final big bad is the First Evil. The evilest evil that ever did evil. The First was super duper scary for a variety of reasons, but mostly because of it’s talent for psychological manipulation. It could get people to see things and do things that were...well...evil. Convince them that their bad ways will ascend them to betterness and blah blah bloobiddy blah.
But I’m not comparing Trump to the First. Why? Cause I don’t give him that much credit. Instead, I reflect on the First’s mouthpiece. Caleb. Now, technically, the First visited whoever it wanted by taking the form of someone dead and talked to them itself, BUT, Caleb was who it merged with. If you think about the major one-on-one fight in Buffy that mattered, it wasn’t with the First. In the end, Buffy accepted that there was no true way to kill the First, only to stop it. First step to stopping the First was when she killed Caleb. The First had filled Caleb with its essence, and he preached about righteousness and getting rid of impurities and whatnot. He was the one who gathered the foot soldiers of the First, the Bringers, bent on destruction. Oh, also, super misogynistic.
Sounds a little like a certain follically challenged foe, I’d say. Preaching about a better world that involves more violence and hate. Hater of women, especially strong ones. Now, I by no means think we should take the Buffy approach to dealing with him, but still. Just, don’t vote for the mouthpiece of Evil. Kay?

I want an inverse spy flick. The spy is a woman. Her whole team is made up of diverse women. All the villains are women. There is only one man in the entire movie and he is a Strong Male Character who is like 25 and decently ripped and has a scene where he slowly steps out of a pool wearing speedos because he is Confident and In Control of His Sexuality. We see his ass when he has to tug down his pants to get at the knife strapped to his thigh. His nipples are always erect for no fucking reason.
They are undercover in a nightclub. In order to keep their cover from being blown, he has to kiss another man.
He knits to relieve stress and to keep his mind sharp. It is never discussed by any of the characters.
He is captured during a scene in which there is no logical reason for him to actually lose the fight. Eventually he gets to have a showdown with the only male villain, who has almost never been seen in action and has nothing but a reputation mentioned briefly earlier in the film to indicate how tough he actually is.
Got No Buns, Hun.
I went to Walmart today to look for a new webcam for my channel. There was this guy standing in the entrance to the aisle I wanted to go in, just holding hands, talking and joking with his pregnant girlfriend (I say girlfriend because I saw no ring). I thought it was kinda cute, and I didn’t want to break up the fun, but I needed to get through, so I said “excuse me,” because I am a respectful human being. They let me through, and after a second they started chuckling. It made me smile. I stopped halfway down the aisle to look at some attractive tablet cases, and I heard the couple whisper (badly) the following conversation:
Guy: Someone needs to diet. And did you see her a**?
Girl: No...
Guy: Exactly! She had none! Where did it go?
Girl: (Laughs) I think she forgot to take her pants off before she ironed them.
I looked over at them, and they were looking right at me. After a tiny silence, they laughed again and then left to continue on with their shopping.
So, here’s what I have to say about that:
Dear Sweet Walmart Couple,
Firstly...that’s actually a relatively good joke. Good for you. You should tell it to your child to help them with the self-esteem issues I’m sure you’re going to give them.
Secondly...why are you laughing? Your boyfriend is checking out other women’s butts right in front of you.
Thirdly...you’re right. I don’t have a butt, or boobs or hips. I also happen to have no enemies, no obstacles I can’t overcome, and no regrets.
Yes, I have a big stomach, big arms, big legs, and, heck, big cheeks. But I also have a big smile with a laugh to match. I’ve got big brown eyes that sparkle pretty much all the time. I’ve got a big brain. I’ve got a big group of friends. I’ve got a big future, and I’m in a good position to achieve those big dreams. I’ve also got a big poster with a dragon on it setting fire to a castle. But that is besides the point.
Sure, my curves may not be in all the right places...but my heart is. Can you say the same? Yeah, that sounds corny as all get-out, but I’d take that any day.
I know I’m a beautiful person, and because of that, I did not let you get to me. Well, that and another thing I don’t have is f**ks to give about what you think of me.
You know what did get to me, though? Walmart had no webcams. Now THAT was a serious bummer.
Love, Pancake.
ugh I hate calculus… why did I sin up for this
You should have signed up for spelling classes instead

CHECK OUT your differences in wand technique here and how fluidly and casually Ron throws a curse in comparison to Harry and Hermione Hermione has done the reading and is technically perfect of course Elbow straight; wrist bent Wand tip aligned with left sightline left arm held loosely behind her for balance Harry hasn’t ever done the reading Grip too tight; elbow locked Shoulders raised Left elbow cranked in awkwardly against his body Kids’ll imitate his awful technique and Junior Aurors it’ll make their parents nuts; don’t twist your neck like that I don’t care what Auror Potter does When you save wizardkind you can hold your wand however you want until then drop your shoulders Ron’s been around wand users since birth practiced with twigs and then his brothers’ wands Look at how the movement flows from his center the way he uses his whole body throws out his opposite hand behind him to counterbalance the movement Harry and Hermione get their wands into position and then throw the curse Ron’s spell starts mid-motion because he knows his wand will be in position in time (helenish)
Mmmmmmm, yes.
There will be a day when I see this and I will scroll past.
Today is not that day
Plus Ron is casting his curse non-verbally. That’s very difficult and it requires training and practice to successfully cast a nonverbal spell. It’s success is determined by the amount of concentration and mental discipline of the witch or wizard. But this is Ron Weasley he likely didn’t put training and practice into casting non-verbal spells, this advanced magic comes to him naturally. The only other time we see him cast a non-verbal spell is when he accidentally made it snow in the great hall, and that was only because Lavender was glaring him down after he said Hermione’s name while he was unconscious in the hospital wing. He felt crappy and his emotions were so intense he unknowingly made it snow. Here he’s trapped in a muggle cafe, with his best friend and the girl he loves. He’s probably scared, and angry but most of all protective. He wants to defeat these Death Eaters without anything happening to his team. His emotions are intense again and that allows him to cast a powerful non-verbal spell. No, not even a spell, a curse. We’ve seen Hermione cast non-verbal spells loads of times but even here she says the curse to ensure it’s potency. Ron is concentrated and disciplined enough in this moment to curse a Death Eater without any words at all.
Ron posts always make me happy
this is so GOOD and PUre
my heart is exploding this is just the best thing ever

Finding good mental health help is already really challenging when you’re in the best possible social position to access it. Poverty, disability, racial and cultural factors, physical access, regional access, gender and sexual prejudice, stigma, language… these are just a few of the roadblocks in the way of accessing effective mental health services.
There are a number of reasons why we should not shame people who do not engage with mental health professionals, the least of which is that a significant portion of people with mental illness are simply unable to access those services.
A core tenant of activism is the idea of autonomy and self determination - this means we must work to remove these barriers to treatment so that those who want to engage with a mental health support system are able to do so. While we should respect those who chose not to access those services, it is most important that everyone get that choice.
