Random thought: what if Wei WuXian and Lan Wangji had the same extreme vocal range as their VA’s?

What if one day during the Sunshot campaign they were meeting in a tea house’s private room - sharing strategy among the leaders - when a group of Wen’s are suddenly seated in the the adjoining room and they have to go quiet to not be recognized.  The Wens start to get suspicious.  The Sunshot campaign leaders are panicking a bit because this meeting was a desperate and risky one - they can’t afford to draw attention to themselves, and especially not leave clues of their movements and meetings.

Just as the Wens are about to force themselves in, Wei WuXian slams his palm on the table and says:

“MingMing my dear, that’s enough tea.  I can tell exactly what’s bothering you sister.  Let met tell you, you really are a beauty!  You have nothing to be concerned about.”

But he says it in a perfectly convincing woman’s voice.  The Wens subside, but after awhile with only Wei WuXian singing the “other woman’s” praises and offering beauty advice they start to get suspicious again and just as they’re about to try to come in again a soft, pretty woman’s voice responds to Wei WuXian’s:

“I just worry my dear Yuandao has lost interest in me.”

Everyone double takes to the source: Lan Wangji.  Wei WuXian recovers first, only barely keeping in character with his voice as he gleefully draws Lan Wangji into voice acting a scene fit for an elaborate harem drama.  Lan Wangji is a neglected second wife of a man of decent fortune, Wei WuXian is the first wife of Lan Wangji’s husband’s business partner and suffering horribly from a lesser wife’s recent success at producing a son.  Together they conspire to win back their husband’s attentions.

Lan Xichen his hiding his face behind his sleeves, but his shoulders are shaking, Nie Mingjue is trying to pretend this isn’t happening and Jiang Cheng has given himself a fucking concussion he face-palmed so hard.

Once the Wens leave it’s all Wei WuXian can do not to give their position away and literally scream with laughter as he calls out “Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan!  That was amazing, wonderful, hilarious!” while leaning on Lan Wangjis shoulder, practically rolling around on him as he nearly chokes to death laughing.
