All right y'all... The day has finally come... Where I must ask for help, myself 😭🙏🏾
This is NOT mandatory, and of course there are causes that need much more help. So don't feel pressured! But if you happen to have a little to spare, I am getting tooth surgery this Friday and they charged me 2k upfront 😭 and then when I asked if it could be split, they told me I ran the risk of my jaw shifting if so 😭 but I have been in pain with these back molars for months and I've been stalling to pay for other things, so... I gotta just take the L but. Anything helps 🙏🏾 Much appreciated if you do 🙏🏾
Who needs sympathy from white queers
It's funny how this US chauvinist keeps shitting on the IOF, but remains ever so satisfied over their participation in the US imperial war machine
I'd straight up need more context for this. From what I've seen of the IDF they think of their enemies pretty much like literal cockroaches to be squashed. They mime gun violence with their children to get them used to the idea of killing early. Like yes I acknowledge that the effects in both cases are very similar, but I'm skeptical of the claim that falling for the sleight-of-hand style propaganda about 'greatness' that America does is truly equivalent to what's going on in the IDF. Also the U.S. has a code of conduct (ostensibly) and (afaik) teaches to default to de-escalation. Does the IDF do that? X Doubt. In your haste to rightfully call out the military industrial complex, don't make yourself look like an idiot.
If you don't know what our military does, it's because you've chosen to avoid learning about it. If you navigate your life neutrally you will learn about it before you're old enough to join. For most people it just takes noticing how many unhoused people are vets.
If you somehow lived under a rock and never learned about any war we've ever been in and you join the military, you'd have to be a specific kind of person to not react when you realize a couple weeks in what's going on. You don't get treated the way you do in the military if your job is to always err on the side of nonviolence. You don't have to have layers and layers of protection in place in order to refuse unethical orders with some semblance of safety if nothing unethical is driving that bus. You don't get assaulted on the reg with absolutely no recourse if nothing violent is driving that bus. You don't end up surrounded by people who view humans who aren't white as inhuman monsters if nothing bloodthirsty is driving that bus.
A very very very small subset of our military is comprised of people who are so critically unaware of what's happening around them at ALL TIMES that they think they're not doing anything wrong.
A slightly larger subset of our military is comprised of people who didn't go outside at all for the first 18 years of their lives, have just had a bucket of ice water dumped on them, and are now having to figure out how to leave without having their lives ruined.
The rest of our military is comprised of people who idolize serial killers, who want to cheat on their wives, and who want to be allowed to kill people without getting in trouble (but weren't able to become cops).
why do so many freaks go right to “there should be exams or tests before you have kids” when the real solution is better social services, robust infant and child development education that is accessible both financially and schedule/distance accommodating, and resources throughout any stage of a child’s life. genuine question like did you think about any social development before going straight to eugenics
Water is life.
Years of corporate extraction, privatization and tax predation, and U.S. colonial control have undermined Puerto Rico's most critical infrastructure: their water system. Now, climate crisis is hitting them doubly hard at the worst possible time.
More than 180,000 customers will be without water for 48 hours at a time starting Friday as part of an alternating schedule while Puerto Rico scrambles to find a solution to the deepening crisis as extreme heat warnings persist.
Want to help people get the water they need?
Donate to Project PR Relief which is helping people on the archepelago get the clean water they need as the government rations water during this historic drought.
Hi pervert! I've ô’btained an item...
cybertrucks are so amazing to me. sure it may be unsafe to drive and unimaginably expensive and ugly as shit but at least everyone who sees you driving it thinks youre a nazi
Hey all, while we're busy normalizing women with hairy legs, hairy armpits and bushy pubes, let's also normalize women with hairy upper lips, hairy chins, hairy side burns, hairy chests, and all the other places where women are supposedly magically hair-free.
The Onion’s Top State Fair Foods
As late summer gives way to early fall, many Americans will head to the fair and seek out their favorite regional delicacies. Here are The Onion’s top state fair foods.
I feel like I am taking crazy pills
I couldn't believe this was true so I had to double check and I found multiple articles talking about it. We live in a comedy sketch.
Here's the link to the article of the photo:
Power cable linking UK and Ireland now passes near Bronze Age human burial remains instead of fictional grave on Welsh beach
Remember that time in 2016 that Harry Potter fans defaced the dolmen a Casa dos Mouros, a 5,000 year old neolitic tomb?
So an actual grave and important piece of world heritage doesn't matter. But the fictional grave of a fictional character from their beloved racist, fatphobic, transmisogynistic, mediocre book series? That's what needs protecting.

Someone asked me a while ago if I still had a photo of the worst sink I had ever seen while apartment hunting in Los Angeles. I assumed I deleted it so I didn't answer the ask and now it's gone, but as it turns out, yes, I do still have a photo of it.
How would history change if John f Kennedy was killed by registeel
well first off, pokemon would be real
Only registeel would be real in this hypothetical

i still can’t believe “our age of bronze is collapsing” is a line from the odyssey. bro i can’t believe we’re in the middle age right now. it’s such a nice day in feudal japan rn. i’m so glad we are having this agricultural revolution.
We can try and invent discourse as a joke all we want but nothing will compare to the real home grown takes on here such as hating landfillslop consumerism is actually Catholic
handing out flyers to transmascs about estradiol cream (can be used to keep your pussy wet and healthy but without triggering periods or having any feminizing effects) and transfemmes about Cialis (works even post-orchi)
and then telling both to start prep too
new blog same sexual health advocate. since making this post i’ve switched from cialis to topical testosterone cream though.
If you’re transfemme and have POTS Cialis will also help your POTS more than any meds a cardio will prescribe you for it just FYI
Source: severe POTS while being a transfemme top lol
I’m gonna come back here and transcribe some shit in a bit
Sorry the ADHD ADHD’d 💀
So a while back I asked Twitter/bsky “Hey transfemmes (or anyone vaguely adjacent) what’s a non-medical thing you wish someone had told you sooner in your transition that you know now?” And got the following answers:
-For Black transfemmes in particular - Everyone’s care tends to be different, but for mine (between 3c/4a depending) I wash and detangle 1x/w with argan oil shampoo/conditioner and curly detangler brush, sleep in silk bonnet. Knowing roughly what hair type you have will help you find more care, find what’s closest from the following, but you may be between!
-Buy a pumice stone for your feet bc moisturizer alone isnt enough
-Go to an esthetician and ask for your eyebrows “cleaned up a bit”
-“More companies make different undershades of orange concealers, incl pinkier ones, at all price points. They can be used for all pigmentation, dark eye circles, shadow from hair growth etc. Your horomonal chemistry changing means softer scents smell different w long wear now!”
-“If you a newbie, neutral shimmer that matches your lids swiped up to your brows + light mascara brightens up the face w/out requiring a ton of skill/cash”
-“Use Lotion! Using a mild college girl scent will be good for your confidence and will ensconce the impression of "busy girl"”
-“You don't need as aggressive shampoo/conditioner/holding product. Trim your ends or your hair won't get longer. Cute hairpins + scrunchies are widely avail at walmart, daiso etc and can help pull together a casual look, and specialty designs can be found via Etsy”
-“Consider buying even one simple hairband for keeping hair/bangs out of face even when hair is in the awkward short-long stage while you do stuff like clean. “
-If you have curly/coiled hair texture look for larger silk scrunchies as smaller ones tangle in our hair easier!!
-“look, sad-lil babytrans asciicat, you'll never figure out how people have money to do all the things to be so pretty - don't even sweat it, just buy a bunch of cheap skater skirts and feel free to lose yourself in the joy of wearing them.”
-“Glasses help a lot to feminize the face. As always, there are exceptions but delicate round glasses help this. Take a lot of pics to find your favorite angles, raise your head and/or try not to slouch in your pics, posing and posture is everything”
-“one of my biggest self love discoveries: just take the damn selfie. even if you feel gross, just take it - you'll like it in a few weeks. also it's okay to have favorite parts of your body. take pics of it often”
-“That nothing more transformative for my self-image than just doing makeup/changing what kind of clothes I wear. First time I properly got to wear a dress in public, and later when I first did my own makeup, it really hit and stuck that I am a woman. And not a bad-looking one.”
-“if you not super confident with makeup, but want to start wearing it, it's ok to start small. try glosses. practicing simple eyelining. a dash of mascara. "less is more" is a great rule for makeup in general, and it's ok to take time to find a look that best suits your face”
-“Snug period undies usually have a wide gusset and extra layers of material, making them a good (and much cheaper) alternative to gaff undies for tucking”
-“Ask a fashionable friend with a sense of style you admire to go clothes shopping with you, to help you find items that fit your frame. Barring that, keep in mind that high waisted pants and dresses are typically a good place to start”
-“poise and posture and movement are a huge part of presentation and can be incredibly empowering but also really painful”
-“- eye cream. invest in the future
- non-comedogenic lotion (especially after shaving) for less ingrown hairs/happier skin
- eye makeup BEFORE foundation
- halter necklines are very kind to strong shoulder silhouettes
- crossover dresses have more play in fit than many options”
-“Accept well meant advice, but never let anyone tell you what is and isn't 'ladylike'. Also, Venus razors with those thick moisturizing blocks are magic when it comes to shaving any part of your body.”
-“Glasses are huge. Go bold; folks are gonna notice you anyway, it might as well be for something you chose. Get a haircut, even if you're growing your hair out. Hairdressers are wizards, and the shaping can make you look more feminine even if your hair's still shorter.”
-“I am cis but I come to you from years in the large women's shoes trenches, that you do not suffer as I have: Nordstrom Rack. Watch the calendar for the Large Shoe Event they have like twice a year. Zappos and its outlet 6pm are also pretty good, and Rothy's has extended sizes. Toms and Madewell also go up to size 12. Toms is known for the simple canvas flats but they also have cute,high-quality leather sandals and booties!”
-“if something gives you gender euphoria, DO IT, and do it a lot! you’ll quickly lose the initial rush of euphoria, but it will help you feel centered and whole. for me, nail polish and comfy dresses were super helpful for feeling feminine all the time”
-“curly/coily-haired cuties most likely already know but sleeping with a bonnet has been a game changer. as a straight-haired girlie, it keeps my hair from tugging as i toss and turn in my sleep, from getting sweaty, and my scalp doesnt get sore like sleeping in a bun/pony does”
-“the big ones for me:
1. you dont have to do makeup most days
2. you dont have to dress hyperfemme
3. washing your hair every day is not good
4. if you're confident enough, people wont question your gender”
-“This is so basic (and not directly trans related) but no-one ever told me to use body lotion as a kid. I distinctly remember asking friends how to deal with body acne, and I got tips for exfoliating, but I guess they just assumed I knew lotion was a thing already”
-“if a piece of costume jewelry or metal hardware in a piece of clothing doesn’t agree with your skin you can put a layer or two of clear nail polish top coat on the offending object”
-“if you're removing hair and hate shaving you may consider using an epilator. the idea is to not be lazy and use it often enough that you don't have to shave at all”
I fully forgot I did this and seeing the days between my brb and my transcription took me tf out
This is genuinely insanely helpful, thank you for making this post. Some of my favorite transfem related posts are just tips and advice for stuff like this.
ESPECIALLY when it makes and effort to include POC transfems as well when it comes to hair care stuff. I'm going to save this and try to do as many of these as I can for now. Thanks again!!!! <333
