Firstly I have to say thank you @sosbanfach64 for helping me decide her name, and that I agree with @ilikeasstrology in the fact that Leila and Thomas sr are siblings, also I agree with the hc that Thomas sr is transfeminine so I will refer to Thomas sr as she/her

So in my mind everytime the Visionary Force had meetings she (and every woman in the cult) had to be naked the entire meeting so I imagine she always couldn't wait for the meeting to end because only then she could wear her clothes (she must've celebrated when the cult broke apart and honestly? Good for her)

Oh and I almost forgot to mention, but when rewatching that play once again to collect screenshots, I got to the jism plant monologue from Thomas sr and with the fact that those are canonically the teachings The High Visionary, the reaction that Sam as Leila had is another proof of her not believing in The High Visionary:

Look at her, she actually can't believe what she just heard, also on the first screenshot here she looks quite uncomfortable so that made me think she is ace (maybe even aroace, am I projecting here? Yes, absolutely)

So because Leila doesn't appear for the rest of the play I'm going to assume she decided to go home or something.

Oh btw I noticed just now the way AJ as the High Visionary prepared the gun and I think in the magazine it was only one bullet (russian roulette type of thing) so Thomas jr would never get hurt so that could be Dillon's another way of manipulating people to believe in his cult (if someone wants to make a post about manipulation the High Visionary used as a cult leader I would be very interested in reading because I know nothing about this topic and can't really do it myself).

DUDE IS BACK! He decided to cycle across the entirety of Poland to raise 12 million PLN (about 3 million EURO) to help Maks, an 8-year old kid suffering from Duchenne's.

HE RAISED IT IN THE FIRST TWO DAYS! so now they're trying to get 3,5 million pln (about 1 million EURO) for Adam, a 4-year old with the same condition.

And they'll just keep going.

Like I don't think you guys comprehend what happened in Poland just now but everyone needs to be talking about it.

A random influencer decided he'll listen to an anti cancer song on loop. People liked it enough times he ended up listening for 9 days.

He raised 90 million in these 9 days, and then 160 million more over the last 10 hours, for a total of 250 million.

Hundreds and thousands of people signed up to donate marrow.

Hundreds of celebrities shaved their heads in solidarity.

The Foundation receiving this money had to create a special commission to figure out how to distribute the money.

The national TV stations got highjacked to stream this for hours because it was better news than anything happening in the world.

Because we broke and DOUBLED the world record for this kind of thing.

They raised about as much as the biggest running charity event in Poland did in a whole year with three decades of tradition and a goddamn army of people.

And they did it on a goddamn amateur set up in a shabby room sitting on folding chairs.

Little update: people keep donating despite the stream being over. We're at 280 million in the fight against cancer.

Łatwogang refuses to collab with companies that only reached out to him now because of popularity or give interviews. He said any medals people wanna give them should go to the doctors and nurses and the cancer patients.

Someone offered to renovate that shabby little flat for him as a thank you. He refused.

Someone counted up how many people appeared in that room during the whole thing - it was 319 total.

PSA: For fan works, reblog and like from OP

Tumblr is rolling out a new reblog/notes system that completely disregards creators. In their new system, they're taking a twitter-style approach where reblogs will have their own notes that DO NOT contribute to the original post's notes.

Because of this, creators will no longer be able to see an accurate display of likes/reblogs/etc. This is completely altering the way feedback and responses to works are going to be received on this website.

If you come across a fan work that you enjoy, please take the extra step to go to OPs original post, and leave your comment/like/reblog there. Or go one step further and send an ask to OP directly to tell them what you liked!

I really hope Tumblr staff reverses course and reverts to the original reblog system for the sake of the large base of creators who use this site to share their works, but until then, please be considerate and make sure the creators here see/feel the love.

like yes it's annoying when tumblr does major UI changes to make the site look more like twitter, but it's completely unacceptable to me when they do fundamental UX changes to make it to act more like twitter, turning reblogs into QRTs, destroying note aggregation, siphoning engagement away from OP, destroying the culture of yes-and reblog chains, etc. etc. like who is asking for this? did they ask users at all or was this a decision made in an investor meeting?

When I came back to Tumblr a little while later, the announcement post's notes had dropped significantly:

While my reblog of that post, now has its own notes AND comment section, completely separate from the OG post:

This means that the new feature is active at this very moment and that this is how it works. And it sucks.

This new reblog system GUTS original posts. Interactions and engagements can no longer be properly tracked. If an original post breaches containment, it REALLY breaches containment. Unless you feverishly check every reblog of a reblog of a reblog of a reblog manually, you won't know how your post is received.

This especially hurts creatives, who rely on engagement and numbers for the art, photos, videos, whatever else they post. They NEED to be a part of this, Tumblr, you can't bar the original poster from their own post's growth. It's disrespectful. It makes no sense.

If you disagree with Tumblr's decision to ruin creatives' post engagements and reason to post on this site, reblog the original post (linked far above), comment on it. Don't threaten, but be clear about why you disagree. Also send them your feedback through their support. Be loud about this.

The Death of the Digital Ecosystem: Why Decoupling Notes Destroys Tumblr

@changes (Edit: I already sent this to Tumblr Support under the feedback option. I encourage everyone to send feedback on how bad this feature actually is).

For years, the total note count on a post served as a universal metric of a piece of content's impact. Whether a user liked the original post or a reblog fifteen branches deep, that engagement flowed back to the source. This ensured that the original artist, writer, or editor received the full credit for the viral success of their work.

Under this new system, engagement is trapped within the specific reblog a user happens to see on their dashboard. If a massive, high-traffic blog reblogs a piece of art from a small creator, every like and reblog that occurs through that larger account stays with them. The original creator is left with a stagnant note count on their own dashboard while their work generates thousands of interactions for someone else.

Erasure of Creator Visibility

Instead of seeing one post with 10,000 notes, a creator may now have to hunt through dozens of different reblog chains to find where the conversation is actually happening.

If the notes no longer flow back to the original post, the creator loses the ability to see who is enjoying their work, what the tags say, and how the community is responding.

On a platform where engagement often dictates visibility, splitting that engagement into tiny, unlinked fractions makes it significantly harder for original works to gain momentum compared to the high-reach blogs that reblog them.

Incentivizing the "Big Blog" Monopoly

This system rewards accounts that have already established a large following at the direct expense of the smaller accounts that actually produce the content. It transforms reblogging from a method of sharing into a method of acquisition.

When a reblog functions as its own independent post with its own note count, the incentive to click through to the original source disappears. The platform is transitioning from a collaborative ecosystem into a standard social media feed where the person who posts the content last—not the person who made it—reaps the rewards.

Impact on Collaborative Conversations

Tumblr’s unique culture is built on the reblog chain: a chronological, evolving conversation. By allowing users to like or reblog "any part" of the chain as an independent entity, the platform is breaking the narrative thread.

If engagement is siloed into specific branches, the incentive to add to a conversation is replaced by an incentive to simply own a piece of the engagement. This change doesn't encourage conversation. It encourages the commodification of individual posts within a chain, making it harder for the original voice to ever be heard over the noise of the rebloggers.

The Disincentive to Create

Perhaps the most damaging aspect of this update is the psychological toll on the creative community. When the platform actively diverts credit and engagement away from the source, it destroys the motivation to share original work at all.

For many, the reward for posting is seeing how far their work travels. If that travel is now invisible or attributed to others, the labor of creating becomes thankless.

This system makes creators want to share nothing. If the platform is built to harvest a creator's effort for the benefit of curator blogs, the logical response is to stop providing the raw material. I am one leaning into this category. Without us creators, the curator blogs have nothing to curate.

By making it harder to protect and track one's own work, the platform is effectively telling creators that their presence is secondary to the conversations happening around their work: conversations they may no longer even be able to find.

Reblog if you do NOT want the new Tumblr update

Apparently, from what I hear people say, in the new Tumblr update, if someone reblogs your post and adds a comment of their own, that reblog is counted as a new post and it belongs to the reblogger. Not you. You, as the OP, do not get the notifications if someone else later reblogs from the person who reblogged your post with their own comment. You can’t see what comments people leave on the reblogs of the post you originally made unless they reblogged directly from you.

If this is actually true, it will just open doors for harassment. And also it takes the credits away from the OPs. Tumblr’s etiquette has always been “reblog don’t repost”. So this new update, if true, contradicts the whole core values of Tumblr as a community.

Respectfully, we don’t want this @staff @support @tumblr @changes please listen to your users.

I’d also like to clarify that this is what I hear from what a lot of people are saying, and it bothers me. But if I got anything wrong, I do apologize.

Since some of you don't seem to understand how this 'new notes' thing works, I'll break it down:

I'm the OP. I'm making this post. If you like, comment, reblog (without comment) on this post, then I'm the one who will see all those notes in my activity page.

However...

If you reblog (with comment), I will get a notification that you did that, but any likes/comments/reblogs (without comment) you get on that reblog will only be shown to you. As OP I won't see them.

If someone adds a reblog (with comment) to your reblog...as OP I won't see that. I won't see any of those notes in my activity page.

Basically, if someone with a large following makes a comment, then they will get all the notes and OP will see nothing. If OP has said something silly because they're, y'know, 21 and it happens, and then someone reblogs it onto the dash of someone with a large following who then dunks on them for fun? OP doesn't see it, doesn't get notes for it, but they're gonna get the harrassment for it in their inbox.

If I, someone with a 5 digit follower count, reblog something to correct misinformation on Ancient Egypt, then OP will never see it unless it was on the original post, but I will continue to get notes on that post even though it's not my post. If I reblog fanart, or just art in general, with a comment like 'Oh this is so lovely!' then OP will not see any of the notes from people reblogging it from me. They'll only see my reblog. So it's possible for an art post by someone else to have 200 notes for them, but 9000 for someone who reblogs it with a comment, and the OP artist will have no idea it's been seen by that many people.

It's killing blow to the community we've built here, by someone higher up who doesn't understand that being able to see all the comments and reblogs is what makes this site the place I keep coming back to.

That's what sucks.

I encourage people to go to tumblr's support page, select contact support, and then in the dropdown menu select 'Feedback' and leave polite and constructive feedback (for those of you who enjoy 'emails worded politely but are a strong 'are you an idiot?', try that way of wording it). They're more likely to listen to you if you're not an asshole about it. I've already gone and done this, and I hope others will too.

Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

So basically what this is going to mean is that somebody can spend hours and hours putting together a post, and when someone reblogs it and adds anything at all to it - even if it's just an applause gif or a single emoji or word like "gorgeous!" on an exceptionally stunning piece of art - each of those reblogs becomes its own post, and none of the likes or reblogs that come after will trickle up to the original creator.

It will also mean that if someone has something hateful to say, it will not get back to the original author and they will not be able to respond or clarify or set the record straight. It will make it so that someone can reblog a post and turn it into a vehicle of hate against that original creator, without any recourse for that original creator. It will lead to more toxicity and ridicule and hate on the site.

It will mean that if somebody downstream reblogs a post of mine with a question about some aspect of what I said, I will not be the one answering that question because I will have no idea that it was added.

It will also mean that if someone reblogs a work of art and adds a meme of someone weeping for joy at how beautiful it is, and then that gets reblogged and liked a million times, the original creator will not get any of those notes, and the original post on their blog will still only have 20 notes even if it becomes the most popular piece of art on the entire site.

This is going to utterly obliterate any sense of community that came from engagement with a post. Every reblog that adds anything is going to become an amputation of that post, and a creator will have to actively crawl down every separate reblog chain of every post if they want to try to find out what's happening with their content.

Just FYI everyone, because of this change I will be disabling reblogs on posts where I am sharing my own thoughts and ideas. If it's just a photo set or something I will not disable them, but anything else is going to get disabled because I do not want to feel like I'm putting my work out into the wilderness and have no meaningful way of tracking what's happening to it, and have a reblog suddenly turn it into somebody else's post, and any further engagement go to them.

Because let's be realistic, no one's going to go back through a reblog chain to interact with previous iterations. All of the engagement is going to stick with the current version that is in front of someone, which is cut off and separated from the original creator. If for no other reason than that no one will understand how this new system works, and they're going to (understandably) use the site the same way they always have and expect the same results.

I can think of so many ways that this could be weaponized and used for harmful purposes, and that is the very last thing we need in a world where there is already too much hostility.

Even if things are handled in a well-meaning way by people, it would still make it difficult, if not impossible, for creators to have any ongoing involvement in what happens to their own content once it is out in the wild, and will potentially cut them completely out of the conversation.

If you are as horrified by this change as I am, please do not stay silent. Please give some strong feedback through the feedback form so that the staff can realize how hated this change is.

This is one situation where leaving a comment or re-blogging with complaints is not going to be enough. Please send direct feedback about this to the team through the feedback form. They have said many times that they do not read the comments of their posts. If you do not give actual feedback in the feedback form they will not see it.
