I'm pretty new here, and I don't actually know much about dinosaurs (just followed this blog because it seemed really cool and interesting) so could you explain what shrink-wrapped means?

Of course! See, modern animals have a lot of muscles, fat, fluff, etc, and end up looking very little like their actual skeleton. For example, look at how much fluff owls have:

However, lots of palaeoartists completely ignore this! They basically stretch skin over the bones and call it a day. One especially bad example that was featured on @palaeofail is this poor pterosaur:

It barely has room for its digestive system. It’s definitely missing the air sac system that allows it to breathe. It’s got virtually no muscles on the arms - how does it fly?? - on the head (no wonder its mouth is open. It has no jaw muscles to close it!), on the torso (it needs to flap), or on the legs (walking) It doesn’t have any fat at all, so it’s definitely starving (maybe because it can’t fly or close its moth?). The skin is much too thin; you can see all of the bones and its wing membranes should be much, much thicker. And it’s missing the hair-like pycnofibres that should be covering its body!

Many palaeoartists have started to strike back at this by drawing modern animals like we might draw them if we found their bones:

Trump dealt with a national security crisis in front of diners and servers at a restaurant

North Korea carried out a ballistic missile test Saturday night, launching the weapon in Japan’s general direction while Trump met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. 

The launch is being described as a “show of force” by North Korea, according to NBC News.

The missile test occurred as Trump and Abe dined in the members’ dining area at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf resort.

Rather than retreat to a secure and private location to discuss these sensitive national security issues, Trump, Abe, Steve Bannon and Mike Flynn tended to the crisis right there in the public dining area, where people not permitted to hear classified information could have overheard the conversations, according to CNN. Update: More details emerge from public security crisis at Mar-a-lago

According to CNN, nearby diners were able to tell the news network — in detail — Trump’s plans for response.

Diners were able to snap photos of the president as he discussed classified information. 

Richard DeAgazio, who the Washington Post reported is a retired investor was dining at the private resort where he took multiple photos of the president, Trump’s entourage and the Japanese prime minster. 

He also took and posted photos with the Secret Service agent assigned to carry the president’s nuclear codes (now deleted) and another with Steve Bannon.

In one particularly stunning photo DeAgazio posted, aides lit up documents for the president and the Japanese prime minister to read with their camera phones. Read more (2/13/17 3:22 PM)
