I miss JJā¦ I miss TimBernā¦ I also miss postingā¦ I feel sad about all threeā¦ JJ angst? Why not!
Patrol was not the best to say the least. Some Riddler goons were causing trouble while the villain was in Arkham. Youād think they would stop with their boss in jail but it was never like that in Gotham. It was one of those nights Tim hated, filled with too many easy fights and rain. Fighting in the rain was awful. But that was all over and Tim could finally go to sleep and snuggle with Bernard. Tough he had to shower first. He didnāt even bother to put the light on with how done he was with the whole ordeal. Without a thought Tim fell headfirst in the king bed and Bern, unbothered, got closer to him instinctively.
Bernard had always been an early riser. Now that he was with Tim he really loved that aspect of himself. He could wake up and look at his lover, who lost all the stress he carried while sleeping. He could spend hours there, studying the face of the man he loved. This morning, though, Tim had a new feature. One he had never seen before. Scars.
Bernard knew about his night job and all the danger that came with it. Tim may even have a new scar after his last patrol. It was yesterday if Bern remembered right. But these werenāt fresh. They were old scars that were clearly defined on each side of his lips. As if they were trying to make his smile bigger. Before he knew it, the blond had his hands on Timās face, making sure he wasnāt seeing things. That action made the vigilante stir.
āMmh?ā Tim made a sound. A silent question only meant for Bernard.
āThese scarsā¦ Itās the first time I see themā He answered.
āOh shit,ā That definitely woke Tim up.
He was so tired yesterday he forgot to put his makeup back on. How could he forgetā¦ The lights. He didnāt put on the lights and didnāt see his reflection in the mirror. Thatās a mistake he could afford to do when he lived alone but that wasnāt the case anymore. Fuck.
āWhere do they come from?ā Bernard asked, noticing Tim made the same face he had when he was deep in thought.
āI forgot to put my makeup on yesterday,ā the vigilante stated as if it was the answer.
āmakeup? Tim you donāt have to do that,ā what was going on with his boyfriend. Bern was truly puzzled.
āItās more for me than you honestly,ā that set off even more alarm bells in the blondās head
āWhere do they come from?ā He asked again.
A moment passed before the answer came in a short whisper, āThe Joker.ā
Bernardās hold on Tim face fell for a second. Long enough for Tim to notice. He reached out his hand instinctively to hold Bernardās, making sure his partner wouldnāt let go. They started at each other like their eyes said everything. And they did. Tim was hurt long ago and Bernard was worried about him. Because there were still scars of it. Not the physical ones. But there was nothing Bernard could do about it except hold Tim. And thatās just what he did.
Bruce couldnāt contact Tim till 3pm because Bernard had him trapped in his loving hold.
