I would like to state clearly that I am a minor. With that in mind…

Hi! I’m Aiden (or Amy!) Another nickname I go by is Jay/J. If you know me as something different, you would likely find that referring to the Pronouns Page linked below will help you ^^

At the moment I’m actively using He/Him but! I go by any pronouns — whatever you know me as is okay too :) (especially if you’re my friend irl!! you guys have been so patient abt all this and I love you sm/platonic).

While I also use it to interact with mutuals, this is primarily a fandom blog, which I use to post my own fanart or reblog other people’s. I have quite a few fandoms on my roster, but at the moments I’m most invested in:

DC Comics (primarily Batman / Batfam, but not exclusively), It (Stephen King, 2017/2019, 1990 and book-inclusive), Barry (HBO), and Creepypasta (especially Marble Hornets!, but also fanon + proxy stuff).

The list above will be frequently updated as my focus shifts. Here are some things about me!

- My favorite color is pink! (with green, purple and red as close contenders).

- My music taste has been described to me as “eclectic”. I don’t know if this is true. I enjoy jazz, classical, pop, punk, and rock, all to an extent. My favorite bands are: Friday Pilots Club (favorite songs: Outta My Body, Sleeping on the Ceiling), Modern Alibi (favorite songs: Silver Spoon, Arbitrage), and Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox (favorite songs: Die for You, I Was Made for Lovin’ You — they are a cover bands, respectively those songs belong to The Weeknd and KISS originally) .

Quite a bit of other music I listen to…

- I am heavily interested in the arts. My main form is visual art (mainly traditional), but I also sing. These, along with amateur voice acting, photography and writing are my hobbies. I wish to pursue these interests later in my life.

- I have a dog. His name is Simon. I slight him recreationally

Hey, when you talk to children, you know you can explain things to them right? thats theyre capable of comprehension? In fact you should be explaining things so they understand comprehension better?

Earlier my little sister slammed her closet and room door-- not out of ange as far as im aware, she just pushed them too hard. I yelled at her to stop it.

she said she would, but it was clear from her tone she just said so out of obligation and was annoyed. i tell her to stop making loud noises a lot, so she probably assumed this was just another example of that.

realizing this, i explained her the reason: our rooms are right next to each other. When she slams doors, the wall shakes. When the wall shakes, my mirror shakes, and if it shakes too hard it can fall and break

after the explanation, she apologized genuinely and actually understood the reason instead of just thinking im nagging her or just want quiet. the fact that she knows the reason means shes more likely to remember, and she can apply the knowledge in different ways: "even if my older sibling isnt home, their mirror could still break, so i still shouldnt slam the door." She knows im not just trying to annoy her or assert dominance over her like a lot of rules and demands we give to children do- i just dont want my mirror to break. It helps her understand cause and effect.

Would this result be the same if i had just screamed at her or spanked her? Or did it make more sense to just explain? After all, it was a simple mistake. I could see my parents doing the same thing-- when you close a door, youre not usually thinking about the walls in the other room.

Children are humans, humans use logic. Use logic with children. Its simple.

Oh this is a common scam I find at work. Any file that:

isn't jpg, jpeg, pdf, or png

Is a file extension you don't recognise (this one is a visual basic file, used for scripting, but others like exe or bat are used)

has a very low or unexpected file size (this one's is less than 1KB, or 0.001MB, a good reference should be at least 500KB)

Is likely a scam. Stay safe kids.
