8. What's your favorite month of the year and why?
TYSMMMM :DDD
I have two!!!
I do really love all of the beautiful spring blooming in May (also it's the month of my bday so I might be a lil biased lol)
My other favorite month is December bc of all the pretty fairy lights and decorations!!! Everything feels really magical and I really love seeing everything!!!
(Fun fact: my twin sister keeps a chart on things that describe different people that she knows' genders. One of mine is "Secular Christmas" so yeah XD)
Aww, flowers and fairy lights are so you! And I love a gender moodboard! Didn't know you were a May baby. I'm a December baby, so there's one for each of us.
I have two as well. I also love the first blooms of spring usually in March or so. The relief and expansion after winter are so immense! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a cozy, restful winter and keep it as hibernatory as I can, but I'm always more than ready to move on by then.
And I love October bc spooky season! The Halloween supplies arriving in the drugstore make me feel like a kid again! And the weather is usually pleasantly nippy but not too cold. I also appreciate the way many cultures around the world have some kind of fall holiday/ritual of honoring ancestors and confronting mortality. It's like microdosing scary and intense things in a safe and fun container with your loved ones 🎃

this might be a stupid question so bear with me okay😢 but like. do you think that dehumanizing & viewing people with little to no empathy/sympathy as bad people or in a general bad light is ableist ? in my opinion it is as it isn’t something you can control ,, and i’m saying this as someone with low empathy/sympathy for others. Whilst i do understand where they are coming from & how they are feeling (purely because of experience & psychology) i can’t bring myself to feel bad for them, and this includes people i’ve hurt. And especially because empathy/sympathy is something a lot of neurodivergent people struggle with (not all!) and i feel like the amount of hate people w low empathy get is absurd ,, atleast in my opinion. feel free to ignore this ask if you’ve already answered smth similar before / don’t want to answer !!
it’s not something I think I’m educated enough to involve myself in the discourse.
if anybody sees this post and is more educated than me in the topic, feel free to chime in
Great question! Yes, it is not only ableist to blame people for a neurological lack of empathy, it also conflates feeling empathy with taking compassionate actions.
It is absolutely possible to consider others' perspectives and act for their benefit without feeling empathy, just as it's possible to feel empathy but actually treat people quite badly.
Dr. Devon Price expands on this very thoroughly in its blog:
It is our actions that matter, not how we feel.

"I can't believe humans would hunt the thylacine to extinction, humans are fundamentally evil" Hey, did you know that extinction was long thought to be impossible, and within 50 years of humans realizing that extinction via overhunting was a possibility it practically stopped happening? Did you know that humans are so desperate to prevent more losses that they're funneling millions of collective hours and billions of euros into helping other species? Hours and euros that could be spent on humans, being spent on species on whom humanity's own survival does not depend? Did you know that due to an accidental introduction of rats, the Lord Howe Island stick insect population was brought down to 24 individuals and now there are tens of thousands of them?
This bug. This bug that, to most humans, is utterly useless, relatively gross, and completely foreign. Humans saved it because humans do not want to cause another extinction ever again if they can avoid it.
Go humans! Go bugs!
Frank: First of all, I'm not a bitch

1990s Goth Janet, you are iconic! 🖤 I think you'd get along with 2000s Emo Frankie 🌧️💕
(Like, "get along" metaphorically. I don't know that user personally and can't vouch, but these posts have the same energy to me!)
When I was a little boy, girls used to just do random cartwheels for no reason. Then one day, they stopped. Now that I am a man, no women randomly do cartwheels. This is because society is evil and killed the cartwheel impulse in their soul. They don't even spin horizontally anymore. It's fucked up.
friend dragged me to a victoria’s secret and in that moment i realized how not attracted to women i am
Victoria's Secret Crisis is a canon event for the other kind of gay people too 🧡🤍🩷🤯
That orgasm must’ve been off the fucking charts but correct me if I’m wrong- maybe it’s just because I have endometriosis but wouldn’t that HURT?!?!? The first time would’ve hurt anyway but wouldn’t she still be tender? Idk man. Idk.
CW: nsfw, sexual health, sexy sex, sexual assault
Excellent questions! I am a Janet stan with a special interest in sexual health, so I have given Janet's sexcapades a lot of thought. I may be able to shed some light here.
The first time someone experiences vaginal penetration does not always hurt. Pain can have various causes. The most well known of course, is hymenal tearing, this can happen but is not guaranteed. Some people are born without hymens or their hymens are naturally very unpronounced or have been stretched out from physical activity or masturbation over time and they don't tear or don't tear much. Thorough prep immediately before intercourse can also reduce tearing to some extent.
Pain can also come from hypertension. And as Janet is fairly anxious and arguably autistic coded and therefore probably chronically stressed, she could be hypertense and need pelvic floor therapy included a lot of internal and external massage.
And even if there is pain, the endorphin rush from the orgasm could decrease it to some extent, though she might still be sore afterward when the endorphins wear off.
I think it's highly likely that Frank, knowing Janet had not had penetrative sex before, would have made sure she was very aroused before penetration, even though he was also potentially traumatizing her with the noncon/dubcon, which would make it more likely to hurt. On the other hand, some people get extra wet when they're afraid, which I suspect is an evolutionary adaptation to survive assault by decreasing the likelihood of abrasions and pain. This could also be at play.
Obviously this is complicated. I think the text indicates Frank knows he's manipulating Janet but also sincerely wants her to enjoy it. He probably knows she would tense up even more after discovering his deception and would therefore need even more prep.
We also see Frank giving Janet oral sex before penetration, which would have helped her get more aroused and relaxed her muscles, especially if she orgasmed from it. I would imagine Frank would also finger her very thoroughly to relax and stretch her out before entering her. Janet does say she wants more after this experience, and in the play she goes into more detail about how amazing it was, so we know Frank made her feel good, blew her mind, even.
It's also highly likely Janet was in her ovulation window, which would have aroused and relaxed her body further (no wonder she was so slutty!). Janet's police statement heavily implies she got pregnant after the events of That Night, and Janet getting pregnant is a key plot point in at least two of the unproduced sequels Rocky Horror Shows His Heels and Revenge of the Old Queen. I don't consider those canon, but I think this is a pretty good indicator ROB wants to convey she got pregnant.
Anyway, after learning some technique from Frank, Janet would probably have applied it in her tryst with Rocky, and she was likely already very warmed up and aroused. And even if she was sore from before, she could have had a lot of endorphins and adrenaline suppressing the pain. Or even if it hurt she might have been too horny to care, or maybe she even has a bit of a pain kink. (Later she did seem turned on after Frank slapped and chased her and she definitely looked amused when he snapped her bra straps). Regardless, I imagine the orgasm was indeed off the chain!
There is a chance she would have been sore during or after sex with Frank and/or Rocky. But hopefully she was plenty relaxed and lubricated and didn't feel any discomfort. The vagina/front hole is highly strong and elastic. It can push an entire baby out and return to nearly its previous diameter, after all.
Now, if she did have endometriosis she could have pain in general, with arousal, intercourse and/or orgasm, but I don't think there's any indication that she does.
I'm so sorry you have pain from endometriosis! I have it too and experience painful orgasms at times which is awful. I'm new to researching it and afik treatments usually include hormonal birth control (which I don't think addresses root causes), dietary changes (which seem to be more useful for prevention than treatment), and surgery (though issues can still recur), but I have a lot to learn in this area.
I hope we both find relief, and I hope I answered some of your Janet questions!
P.S. Love your selfreblog about lesbian Janet! I have a whole lesbian Janet AU WIP! She's in a polycule w girl Columbia, girlthing Magenta, agender Riff, and genderfluid Frank. She has a QPR with heartbroken but coping bisexual Brad and she does nonsexual impact play with an asexual Rocky. It's a great time.
riff raff looking glorious as ever on this fine day✌️❤️🩹

This post is so funny literally proving OOP’s point. Most of “transfeminist” Tumblr can’t handle how queer people described themselves in the 90’s either. Ntm that at least 50% of these are clearly transfems describing themselves, which it’s pretty fucking transmisogynistic to police the language they’re using. The only possible issue is the use of the h-word if said person wasn’t intersex but it’s the 90’s. All these people sound cool as fuck and would probably call OP a cop

A non-writer asked me "but where do you get your ideas" and i genuinely did not know how to explain that it's not a place. it's not a website. it's not a folder. it's that i was on the bus and a woman was holding a paper bag very carefully and something about the way she held it made me need to know what was inside and then i needed to know why she was sad about it and then there was a whole person and then there was a whole story and the bus had already stopped and i missed my stop. that's where.
Don't judge a book by its cover
I was thinking about Tim Curry's versatility and his incredible musical, so I did a quick doodle in its honor.
