Tim: *trying to sound deep* You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
Jason: *eating popcorn in the back* Or both!
Tim: *exasperated sigh* Yes, Jason. Or both.

Tim: *trying to sound deep* You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
Jason: *eating popcorn in the back* Or both!
Tim: *exasperated sigh* Yes, Jason. Or both.
I’m currently working on a murder mystery in which the main character is a Type 1 Diabetic (which I am also) and her sister was shot two years prior causing an L1 incomplete spinal cord injury (which I do not have). I’m trying to do both of these characters justice but only have experience with one disability.
So, I’m asking, what are some things that people don’t normally think about that someone with T1D or paraplegia has to deal with on a day to day basis?
I know even when dealing with the same thing, everyone has different experiences. If you or someone you know deals with one of these, what your point of view of challenges and victories you or they face?
Does this remind anyone else of Bruce and Selina?
Tim: Everything Cass does is fluid, like a swan. *glares at Damian* Everything you do is angry, like a goose.
Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne both have the primary love language of physical touch just on opposite ends of the spectrum. Dick is always wanting to hug people especially his friends and family whereas Damian only wants to touch people in special moments.
I love assigning songs or parts of songs to different characters and recently realized that “The Ghost Who Is Still Alive” by Beth Crowley fits the Robins and “Soldier, Poet, King” fits the Batgirls.
“The Ghost Who Is Still Alive”
“I am the whisper of a memory.”- Damian. I don’t have much of a reason besides vibes.
“I am the fear you might have lost your mind.”- Tim because of the whole Joker Jr. arc.
“I am the face you don’t remember…”- Steph: the forgotten Robin.
“…but you have seen a thousand times.”- Dick. He was the first Robin who also held the role for the longest so far. Plus, he was somewhat well known before being taken in by Bruce because of being a member of The Flying Graysons.
“The ghost who is still alive.”- Jason, obviously.
“Soldier, Poet, King”
Soldier- Cass. She was raised as an assassin.
Poet- Steph. As the daughter of Cluemaster, she only became a vigilante in order to spoil (pun intended) her father’s riddle based plans.
King- Barbara. This one’s a little off, but she is the queen of the Batfam.
“Tim and Steph are siblings!”
If you act like this toward your siblings, something’s wrong.
Me: Batgirl of Burnside isn’t [Barbara’s] best run.
My Best Friend (also a DC nerd): You have outnerded me.
Vic, Kory, and Gar: Futuristic rich power couple and their son.
Dick, Donna, and Rachel: Billionaire playboy philanthropist, his retired supermodel wife, and their goth daughter.
Wally: Just a guy™️
*looks down at Batman necklace, Nightwing t-shirt, and Batgirl jacket* Yup, still a nerd.
So, I was reading Batman: Death in The Family last night and
This is all I can see!
Does “Hero” by David Kushner remind anyone else of Jason Todd?
Dick: My friend was here, and I needed a hug.
Jason: I never need a hug.
Bruce: I only need a hug if it’s from my kid.
“I don’t let my being alive undermine the fact that I died.” -Jason Todd (probably)
Batfam as things I have said.
Tim: Time to eat chicken nuggets!
Bruce: I thought they were Dino nuggets.
Tim: Chickens are descendants of dinosaurs, so same thing.
Dick: (who to? You decide) I’m exercising my birthday privileges to get you out of your depression hidey hole.
Dick: *to a sick Damian* You look like a wet cat that needs a warm hug and a nap.
Steph: I don’t drink straight up energy drinks. I drink energy infusions because I’m classy.
Steph: Bats: the butterflies of the night.
*after a long night of crime fighting*
Dick: *exhausted* Is that a sock?
Tim: *equally exhausted and had already seen said sock* Yep.
Dick:
Tim:
Dick: *starts laughing*
Tim: *cracks up*
Batfam: *playing Never Have I Ever*
Jason: Never have I ever constantly said “Holy [insert random word here] Batman!”
Dick: I was nine!
Tim: You said “Holy meatball, Batman” at dinner!
