Hello all!

I (the owner of this blog, not the character it was made around) realize I should have a pinned post with the guidelines around asks, so that is what this post is. I want everyone to have fun, that’s the main purpose of this blog after all! There must be rules, though, so here they are:

While I recognize the work Katya is from would likely handle mature themes were it made into a reality, I ask you be sensitive with how you phrase them in asks. It is okay if your ask pertains to such subjects, but please don’t mention them in jest, take the serious seriously.

Do not be homophobic, transphobic, racist, etc. in these asks. Those who do will be blocked. This should go without saying, but I’ve seen the internet before. Best to lay out guidelines.

All posts on this blog regarding Goncharov in any way are meant to be tagged with unreality, better safe than sorry! If I miss this, let. Me. Know! Even this very post will be tagged unreality for mentioning Goncharov, I stay true to my word!

In the same vein as the last rule, though more a suggestion for community improvement than a rule, tell me if you believe I’ve tagged something incorrectly! Even if it isn’t a serious subject, it benefits everyone involved in this for me to keep this little pocket of the internet organized.

Listen. I feel insane anytime i comment on Goncharov meta but having KATYA'S waltz be this song? Of all people?? Katya, whose betrayal is the most memorable part of her whole arc??? It just feels so melancholy, like this is who she wanted to be, but who she never could be, whether due to her circumstances or the choices she made within those circumstances.

It's not a waltz describing Katya, but one emanating from Katya, and a part of the front she puts up even if it's not meant to be.

Some say if you wear a mask long enough it becomes the truth, but Katya keeps hers almost aggressively separate, as if it's beyond her reach.

I know that realistically you can only fit so many movies into a list of approximately 100, but I cannot take that "How many of tumblr's favorite movies have you seen?" list that's been going around seriously because there are some truly egregious omissions.

Some of it is very clearly recency bias, which makes me wonder if the op truly wasn't on here in 2013 or so, but you're telling me you made a list of "tumblr's favorite movies" that doesn't include Pacific Rim or Mad Max: Fury Road? Because, like, I was there, Gandalf.

I'm a ridiculous human and genuinely couldn't sleep until I tried my hand at a better, more balanced list -- though of course, I have my own biases when it comes to what corners of this website I've lurked in over the years. For what it's worth, I did consult the last several Years In Review, while also drawing on the fact that I've been here for over a decade. But if there's anything that truly doesn't feel like it should have made the cut, blame my mutuals for putting it on my dash all the time.

(And apologies, but I couldn't seem to find Goncharov among the website's listings)

There’s a reason websites ask you for your password and give you a 30 day grace period when you delete your account. @staff @support

Actually you guys should reblog this because if it's that easy to accidentally delete an entire account, there's something wrong. It totally sucks that multiple people have lost up to (and even over) a decade's worth of blogging because you put these two buttons so close together, and leave zero grace period for the person to get their blog back.

ALSO I'm not sure if it's a bug or genuinely part of how it works now, but

DELETING A SIDEBLOG WILL JUST DELETE YOUR ENTIRE ACCOUNT! I was trying to delete a rp blog I wasn't into anymore and LOST EVERYTHING‼️ My main, my reblog acc, other rp blogs I had plans for. EVERYTHING.

For the love of god PLEASE fix this. I wasn't aware of this until it happened and I'm still trying to get back everything I lost.

Good afternoon! I must ask, what is your preference for tea? I do like a cup of english breakfast on cloudy days like these...
