Gotta say, the trend of “Politicians play video games” AOC began started off strong, but it really should have stopped when Mitch McConnell started getting into Doki Doki Literature Club.
you can’t fucking catch me i read urls now
i know vitamin c basically neutralizes adhd meds but lemonade good
yea lol
ADHD Medication information sheet
I have been struggling
For a long fucking time
with why my adderall was having such uneven effects and varying efficacy
and the weird pattern of what made it work and not work and if it was building up in my system or not
and fucking nobody told me I shouldn’t drink a glass of Kool-Aid to take the pills with
or eat fucking Pop-Tarts or Life cereal
this is the most useful information I have ever received from tubr and it seems to be confirmed by several other places upon searching
so this actually should be spread like wildfire like actually
Me reading this realizing tunglr dawt kom gave me more information about my medication than MYDOCTORRRRRSSSSSS MYYYYYYYY FUCKENNNNN DOCTORSSSSS PLURAL MULTIPLE DOCTORSSSSSSSS
Reblogging to spread this ridiculously important info
Generally speaking, your doctors actually may not know these things. This is the kind of stuff to ask your pharmacist about.
oh lol
how do i decide if i want to write in first or third person
First Person
Advantages:
You get to know one character quickly and effectively
Builds attachment
Simpler
Let’s you cheat at info dumps
Epistolary stories are an option (journal style like The Martian or Dracula where everything takes place in letters or blogs)
Limitations:
Tougher to distinguish between viewpoint characters with each one you add
Untrustworthy narrator
Hard to be epic in scope
Gives away that the protagonist lives
If your audience doesn’t like the voice of your main character it will be a horrible experience for them
You don’t get the advantages of third person
Third Person
Advantages:
Large casts work better than in First Person
Sometimes better for scene/setting of immediate nature
Epic scope
Best for hiding things from the reader (except for omniscient)
More viewpoint freedom
Easier to off characters
Shows inherent discord (conflicted thoughts and dialogue)
More immersive (for some)
Easier to forgive characters of their mistakes
Limitations:
Can’t cheat on info dumps
Don’t get the advantages of First Person
These are from my notes on Brandon Sanderson’s lectures. I highly recommend them to anyone interested, I believe he is posting the most recent semester on his YouTube once a week.
This is an excellent break down. Thank you! Makes it much clearer to decide what the story needs.
things are heating up in the temperature fandom
in the corner you have scientists, not bothering with either of this bullshit
(also probably because negative numbers would fuck up calculations so it has to start at 0)
im calling myself out on this one
breaking news
TCG Kadabra is finally coming back to his wife and kids after 20 years of exile
weirdest thing Slovakia has to offer is just lard?
This map is driving me insane. It literally sounds like someone who just can’t deal with animal meat that isn’t steak? Also head cheese is not a dutch thing? Its a food that has been discovered independently by a lot of different cultures all over the world. “Raw Sea Urchins” from Sicily? Guaranteed anyone who grew up close to the mediteranean sea and swam in there as a kid has grabbed a sea urchin from the sea and opened it up with a rock and eaten the eggs inside. Its fucking delicious, how is it a culinary “Horror”? And how the fuck are you mean to eat them if not Raw? Deep fried? Lmao.
This map feels like it was made by a white American suburbanite who faints at the idea of eating a chicken liver.
thanks to @edwardvonstein for their assistance with me preparing this
At first I thought, “Ah, this is just another meme for gamers that seems clever, but I don’t really relate to.”
And then I saw it included “People who actually had hope for Spore” and my personal rage became VERY REAL.
Parenting.

Character development doesn't refer to character improvement in a moral or ethical respect. It refers to broadening the audience's understanding of that character, giving the character a deeper background, clearer motivations, a unique voice.
Developing a character is about making them seem more like a real person, and real people are flawed. Real people make mistakes. They repeat mistakes. They do things other people don't agree with. Real people are more than just 'good' or 'bad' and character development is about showing all of those other aspects of them.
Their interests and hobbies. The song that gets stuck in their head. The fact that their vacuum broke 3 months ago and they haven't gotten it fixed yet. All of those details help build out the character and develop them more.
And yes, characters change as stories progress but that doesn't mean they get 'better' in a strict moral sense. It means that their experiences change the way they interact in the world you've written for them. Just like real people do.
oh shit
i can’t believe 17776 is getting a sequel
hey don't let the media tell you this election is already decided. it's exactly what they said in 2016 and we all remember how THAT worked out. 2020 could be a knife's edge election, and 18-24 year olds could easily be the deciding voice. please register to vote. think about the people that might not survive another four years of this.
here is an excellent resource to find out all of the deadlines, sites, and requirements you need to register and vote in your state
