Minyoung Kim (Korean, 1989) - Tug of Lettuce (2023)
Lets play my new fun game:
How long can I
Refuse
to update the tumblr app before they
Kick me out
Nobody wins and everyone suffers
I have something to say, and i will be crestfallen if it doesn't at least moderately annoy the shit out of someone.
today i found out hollow knight and deltarune are not part of the same franchise. which is a fun tidbit of video game history but also a lil disappointing ngl
what the fuck is undertale
STOP YELLING AT ME fuck yall bringing this energy back for 2025:
Call me a hater, but I sorta wish the descriptions of youtube videos actually included a description of the video its on, not just like a million links to your other platforms and to the sponsors.
Like I understand why you'd have to have those things in there. I just wish there also were an actual description.
i think peak historical fiction is when there is a random ass major historical figure but as a comedic relief side character. like geoffrey chaucer being a naked gambling addict in a knight’s tale or leonardo da vinci being cinderella’s fairy godmother in ever after. like. nothing can top that.
before you beat yourself up for not cleaning, ask yourself:
is there a proper place to put the things you're tidying up?
a lot of times i would find myself struggling to finish cleaning things when the real problem was that I didn't actually have a permanent place for things to go once I had actually picked them up.
once I was making sure I had shelves or bins or organization things first, it became a lot easier to actually finish tidying things up since I knew where things were supposed to belong
with years of vigorous training and an iron will you too can stay up past your bed time
extremely exhausting autistic experience of telling people, point blank, that yes, i am always performing for them at all times because that’s what makes them comfortable, at the expense of my own energy or comfort. only for them to turn around and go nooooo, you don’t have to perform for me, i love you <3
stop masking? why am i being so mean and cold to them all of a sudden. (<- i am literally just not forcing expressions or inflection when i speak) they are uncomfortable and would like the performance back, now.
i don’t even care about masking. i don’t care. i have to do it, fine, i’m good at it, fine. i can and will and sometimes even enjoy doing it because it’s like acting, a little.
it’s the denial that i can’t deal with. that you can tell people outright what masking is, that you’re doing it, that you’re always doing it, how you’re doing it. and they just refuse to believe you. they just don’t want to think that it’s true, like it somehow reflects poorly on them that it’s happening so they can’t handle it and need to be the exception, the one person for whom you’re actually laughing and smiling and talking with naturally. because they’re special. so they say, drop the act, expecting that for them, it isn’t an act. and when it turns out it is, because you told them that it is, suddenly you’ve betrayed them by not acting like the person you were playing for them. the denial pisses me off the most.
Just lost a few braincells reading an nyt article about gen z "treat culture" and I can't even fathom that this is a thing. We're living in a dystopian hellscape where someone spending $5 a week on a cookie is considered a wasteful brat because they should have just gone for a nice free walk instead and saved the $250 a year that roughly equals four days' rent. That's why these ungrateful kids can't buy a house, naturally.
I am ALL for free treats, like hiking or reading in the park. But at some point you can't budget your way out of poverty, and you will literally go mad if you deny yourself basic pleasures that are literally all around you. They even lamented that little treats could snowball into doing something absolutely unforgivable like learning how to play the guitar or buying concert tickets.
At what point do we just start saying out loud that living an enjoyable and fulfilling life is now only acceptable at a 100k+ salary, and if you're one of the millions of people unlucky enough not to be in that category you should just eat dirt and be grateful?
it's literally millennial avocado toast bullshit all over again, but with nary a pause in between them.
i think things like "the darwin award" has fundamentally damaged A lot of people's basic empathy.
like pointing out something was stupid is one thing but some of yall seem positively fucking giddy about people dying

i love research journals but perhaps y'all could have thought the acronym through
That rat looks like he is about to enact personal vengeance on PNAS.
Rats usually squint their eyes like when they're in pain, but his ears are perked up and facing forward the way they do when rats are excited and alert.
I don't know what motivated his one-rat-war on PNAS but im on his side.
Indie RPGs will be like "this is the Sinister Man. Yes, that's his legal name – first name 'Sinister', last name 'Man'. All he does is vaguely threaten the player character and sell overpriced mid-game gear, and also it's kind of implied he might have eaten a child?", and the fandom will be like "I will draw him attending a tea party".
so the tags on this post are
#gaming #video games #character design #tropes #cannibalism mention #food mention
I'm so curious about the food mention tag. Like, yes, conceptually I understand that a person might want to filter food tags for mental health purposes and accommodating that is cool of OP. I understand that a person might want to follow food tags and accommodating that is also good. I'm just really damn curious about the people for whom this post would 'count' in either case.
It's tagged "food mention" because of the tea party, not the cannibalism.
"op is a weird sex freak" okay yayyyy :)
[staggering to my feet and wiping a single perfect drip of blood from my mouth] i have to get back on my bullshit. no matter the cost
having anti punitive justice morals sucks because you want to say "man that guy sucks he should get hit with hammers until he dies" but you also want to make it clear you don't think anyone should be put in charge of the 'hit people with hammers until they die" machine.
